The current owners are Jim and Dottie Kimball. Jim began his plumbing career at age 16, working for a man he referred to as Uncle John, a mentor.
At the age of 18, Jim became a member of the Navy and was a a valued member of the Navy Seabees, where he was educated in plumbing, heating systems, refrigeration, and water purification. His training took place at Port Hueneme, California, and from there, he was assigned to the Kwajalein in the Marshall Islands, located halfway between Hawaii and Japan.

Recommended Customer Reviews

I've been using Connors for several years now, Arturo is always polite and professional, has appointments quickly and does great work. Ive had usual plumbing jobs for them, a wall heater install, and some faucets needed work on. And always did the job great, in great time and in professional manner.

Angel Torres was a good guy. Came over, worked hard in the heat, and did what they came out to do for the price they quoted. Only reason it was not 5 stars is that I had to call the office a couple of times to confirm the job, and the way they answered the phone sounded like I had a wrong number. But all in all, I would use them again and liked Angel's work.
Called again for an issie and Arturo came out and was fantastic. very helpful and went above and beyond to help diagnose

Short Review:
Short response times, so if you're in a pickle, they will get the job done and do it properly. There is a $40 service call added to your bill if they do the work.
Long Review:
Like most of us, I've had my rounds with plumbers. Most times, I find the company policies to be ok, but the individual plumbers that come out are hit or miss. I'd been using the same small/local business plumber for 10 years, with the same 1 or 2 guys coming out to help me, and they had done just about everything in my house at one time or the other to my satisfaction. In recent years, they started sending new guys who would come in and tell me whole fixtures needed to be replaced when I knew/suspected they didn't (e.g. the tightening of my kitchen sink sprayer hose instead of being told to totally replace it). Then, they started doing sloppy work, would need to come back and fix their own mistakes, and would charge me another service fee for it. ...time to look for a new plumber. I always want to support small businesses, and that's where Connor's came in.
Now, I NEVER RECOMMEND doing this, but I actually found these guys by seeing their company van on the freeway. I took a pic, then called to ask some questions. I called Angel at 4:30pm and was satisfied with his response that he'd try to get a guy over to my house first thing in the morning- schedules pending. And guess what, true to his word, someone was there by 8:45am. 2 guys - Arturo & Jesus - came to fix the two non-working bathroom sinks, but couldn't because ""they needed to be completely replaced"". All of a sudden, the hairs on the back of my neck stood up because I thought, ""here we go again with the crooked plumbers!"" However, Jesus did actually show me that he was attempting to fix the issue on one sink but couldn't due to heavy gunk build up around the pipes. Now, I guess I could have asked him to just remove the gunk, but the other sink's pipe had broken, so I bit the bullet and said I would buy 2 replacement faucets at Home Depot, if they'd come back and install them the next morning. They said they'd come back the next day at noon.
Well, not only did they live up to their word, but Jesus called me at 8:15 and asked if he could come early. What? A plumber who actually has good customer service and excellent follow through? I was shocked, and gladly said yes! Jesus did a great job, but was there a while installing the sinks. Later on, Arturo came back over to assist him in getting the job done quicker. It was great to see the teamwork among them, but I didn't know Arturo was coming to help, and he just walked right into my house without knocking or ringing the doorbell. Completely unprofessional! I was a little miffed actually.
Anyway, they soon discovered that one of the sink boxes was missing parts, so it couldn't be installed. I asked them if they would please finish up the other sink while I ran back to Home Depot to get a replacement and to my shock, they waited! Took me 35 minutes to go and get back, they installed the sink, and voila! I had two brand new sinks in 3 hours. They had finished the job by noon - when they originally said it would start. I was pretty happy about that, and I was even more appreciative they waited. I'm sure they had more calls.
4 stars for the excellent service, a big minus 1 star for Arturo walking into my home unannounced. That one act might make think twice about calling them again.

Angel has always been there when I call for help with a stopped up sink or a leaking pipe they are fast and reasonably priced. I highly recommend Connors Plumbing.

Moved into our new shop and a few days later had a pipe break and flooded our shop. Arturo was very professional and took care of the issue he even helped clean up the equipment that got wet.

These people are so unprofessional and insane that I can't imagine that all or most of the positive reviews are real.
Their reviews on CitySearch are fake unless of course all of the same people who get plumbing done in Eagle Rock also buy flowers from the same place in Sacramento and give 5 stars to the same places in other cities too.
So here's the real scoop: their prices are higher than others, their customer service is poor, and if you ever disagree with the owner, he'll shout and throw a temper tantrum like a bratty little girl.
Unless you enjoy paying more for crappy customer service, you might want to call a different plumber.

The price is low, but after three years of putting up with Jim's gruff, abrasive manner and his guys' continually having to make multiple trips to fix things, I've had it. The final straw is that he doesn't know basic city codes and passes the financial consequences of his ignorance onto the customer. When confronted with this, he said: ""I don't expect you to understand how the world of plumbers work."" Well, the simple truth is that he and his associates were too lazy or incompetent to call the inspector directly and find out what the updated code is ahead of time. I asked: ""Why not just check the code before doing a job? I have the inspector's phone number right here and so apparently did you since you told me you talked to him after the fact!"" He responded, ""Well, they change it and there's no way of following it."" Really? They changed it in January, Jim, but apparently two and a half months wasn't enough time for you to figure out how to use a phone to reach out and get the proper info. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

I have used Connors for years for various projects, including heating, gas lines, water heater installation, and general plumbing repair. I have never had anything other than excellent service. The technicians are pro's, and since this is a local company you get to know them. I have always considered them straight shooters - no low-balling, no upselling, just good work and good advice. Jim Kimball takes a personal interest in his customers; he's bailed me out of a tight spot more than once. As for the price, all I can say is that I have always gotten my money's worth. I'd rather pay once for a job done right. Great people to do business with.

As always...another.... ""done deal...done right""....Angel & Jesus fixed our sewer line. Always GREAT service......pleasure to do business with....Linn H

Today is the third time I have used this company... I am very pleased with their service and professionalism... I called and they were at my house very quickly for a broke water pipe... and the rates that they charged were very reasonable.... I have used several different Plumbers in the ""area"" as I like sticking and giving business to locals.... but Connors by far has been the best...... Thank you..
