Our 35 year old boiler decided to start circling the drain right before a big snowstorm, and Conifer plumbing and heating were tremendously helpful. They came when they said they would, explained what the problem was, gave us treatment options with estimated costs. This morning when we woke up with no heat, Dan came out and was able to get our boiler up and running again. I was very impressed with their service and professionalism. Will certainly be working with them in the future.

Called CP&H and made and appointment for the following day for a simple shower valve install. Bathroom is demoed, pipes are exposed, easiest job ever... but I have no time. I was hoping they would be reasonable as I have more plumbing projects and need help. I was a little leery that they charge $60 just to come out. They wouldn't quote me a price on the phone either but I gave them a shot. They did not show during the 2 hour appointment window. I called the office and got the answering machine. So, I went to Home Depot to buy the parts to fix myself. While I'm in Home Depot, over an hour after the no show, I get a call from the CP&H plumber who is at my house asking where I am. When I told him, he said he could wait for me to get back but would have to charge me $60 every 15 min he is just waiting around. Seriously dude? I asked how much to replace the shower valve. (get ready...) He says it will take him 2 hours and he charges $250 per hour!!! After i realized he wasn't joking, told him to go ahead and take off... no need to 'just wait around' for me. I drove home with my $15 parts and put the valve in myself... took me 20 min. Super, disappointing experience. $250 an hour... I'm still blown away. If you think your worth $250 an hour that's fine, I'm no judge. But to charge that AND fudge the time needed for the job...what a scam. To anyone who reads this, I challenge you to find a worse deal plumbing. Happy Holidays CP&D.

I really had a painless experience with this company, and it was all in just a day. We royally messed up our hot water heater doing the DIY thing....dont drink and DIY on big stuff. Leave it alone. Any-whoo, after the traumatic experience of ice-cold mountain well-water in the shower, I called these wonderful people.
They came out later in the evening to accommodate my schedule, and were on time (within a few minutes of the stated time). I received a call prior to him arriving of about 30 min. Reasonable price for the ""trip fee"". ANYthing, just please save me from another cold shower.
Tod, our tech, was very professional, and even refused a tip I tried to give him. He fixed the hot water heater pretty quickly; no muss-no fuss, and he also didn't leave a mess in his wake. I was waiting like a kid at a theme park to take a shower, and it was everything I remember it to be.
Thanks again Conifer local businesses!

I hired CP&H to fix a plumbing leak back in July 2015. They misdiagnosed the problem twice, created a bunch of damage to my house, charged me $500 and I had to fix the leak myself (which only cost pennies for plumbing tape). Worst service contractor experience I've ever had!
I normally fix these problems myself, but I had family visiting for the Independence Day weekend so I didn't have time to address it. I called CP&H to diagnose and repair a water leak that was coming from my upstairs bathroom and leaking into my downstairs bathroom. John (the plumber) said it was coming from the upstairs toilet. He put some plumbing dope on a pipe connection and said it that doesn't work, I'll need to replace my toilet gasket / wax ring. So, when the leak reappeared I replaced the toilet gasket and wax ring. The leak still persisted so I called them out again. This time, John tried to diagnose the problem by drilling holes into my floor boards which caused damage to my downstairs ceiling and upstairs floor. After failing once again, two other CP&H employees showed up and, after spending a couple hours trying to find the source of the leak, they told me it was coming from my shower door in the upstairs bathroom and that the door needed to be removed, sealed and reinstalled. So, I ripped out the shower door, sealed all the holes and hung a shower curtain. You can imagine my disappointment and frustration when the leak still persisted... When I had some more time after my family left, I decided to check all the connections in the shower / tub and discovered that the plumbing tape in the tub faucet was brittle and disintegrating. So, I replaced the plumbing tape and screwed the tub faucet back onto the threads, and the problem was fixed. Took me about 15 minutes!!
Something else that irritated me was that John kept making sarcastic remarks (jokes?) about how expensive all of this was going to be the moment he walked in the door. He thought he was pretty cute but I didn't think this was funny at all. Perhaps he wasn't joking because he metaphorically bent me over and screwed me not once, but twice.
Naturally, I complained to the Manager about the service I received. The Manager laughed when I told him all the trouble I went through to fix the problem based on the plumber's diagnoses; saying ""boy, you really go all out, don't you?"" He did refund the two trip fees, totaling $175 so, basically, I paid CP&H $325 to damage my house, provide two errant diagnoses and rib me with their smart-ass comments.
I typically contract All-Phase Plumbing and Heating for these types of services and they've always done a great job. Unfortunately, Matt at All-Phase was out of town for the holiday so I had to hire the ""jokers"" at CP&H this time. But, I certainly won't make that mistake again. There's plenty of reputable plumbers and handy-men in the area so I highly recommend you avoid this company at all costs.

As in other reviews, I had a horrible experience with these guys. They installed 2 new parts on my boiler and and it still didn't work. I had another plumbing co. look at it and they determined one of the new parts was defective. they changed it out and the furnace is now working. I went back to return the $332 part and they basically said that I had to eat it. I believe this company is very unethical and so don't make the same mistake as I did... find a different plumber!!!

Great company. I had CPH&D come in for a whole house plumbing install and hookup of a toilet, sink and bathtub in a new bathroom. The techs (Shane and Michael) were always on time, very friendly, and did excellent work and very thorough and careful as I had provided the vanity (expensive recycled wood), sink (hammered copper), faucet, toilet and bathtub (claw foot) and none of those would have been considered cheap at least to me, so I was concerned about any potential damage during the installation of those items. Not a problem. I highly recommend these guys and very pleased with their work! Thanks guys!

I've had these guys out a few times to help with heating and plumbing issues. Each time they were professional and on time. Seems they've been working on my house longer than I've owned it. They knew it well. They always gave me options on how to proceed according to my budget and were always up front about costs and fees. Their fees seem pretty standard for that industry. I'll continue to use them and recommend them.

Great service - prompt, professional, and thorough. The guys even found evidence of a previous, terrible repair on our system and fixed it as well, saving us from a future disaster.
Not cheap, but the end result was that our problem was solved. And I appreciated the follow-up phone call to make sure that everything had gone well. That's nice customer service!

We have had new and different projects over the past eight months that we have been going back to CPH&D for the professionalism of their employees and the quality of the work completed.
They deserve an A+ rating. I'll give a ""B"" on pricing to authenticate this as an unbiased and real person review; their pricing is good to excellent given the quality of the work.
They have worked in teams and individually on our projects and every one of them that has been to our house has just been a genuinely nice guy - that counts for something.
With some contractors you get a feeling when you're being taken advantage of, or worse when the job is done and you know it wasn't done well. That is not CPH&D.

Had an unfortunate experience with this company. When it was all said and done I was charged $700 to replace a 100 dollar part. The best part is my furnace is now not heating normally and will not hold the desired heat. I've hired a new company to resolve the issue.
