Conejo Heating, Air, Plumbing and Electrical
Company Overview
Conejo Heating, Air, Plumbing & Electrical has proudly served Ventura, Santa Barbara, and Los Angeles Counties since 1979. As a family-owned business, we strive to offer reliable, high-quality service and comfort throughout your entire home.
From our early days to today, Conejo Heating, Air, Plumbing and Electrical upholds the principles established by Wally Dickey in 1979: Consistency, Honesty, Professionalism, and Reputation.
In the early days, known as Conejo Valley Appliance, Air Conditioning and Heating, Wally's mom answered the phone on weekdays, while he tackled service calls on weekends. Inheriting the family business, Wally's son Branden Dickey took over as CEO in 2005. Branden emphasized outstanding customer service as he grew the business into the leading home services company in the Conejo Valley, managing a fleet of 70+ trucks and providing plumbing, electrical, and generator services to help homeowners with their maintenance needs.
Our clients often recommend us to their friends, family, and neighbors. This enables us to focus on our local area and keep our community very happy.
Branden Dickey leads Conejo Heating, Air, Plumbing and Electrical as its owner. Having lived in Ventura County his entire life, Branden started his journey by assisting his father as a child, fixing microwaves and refrigerators, which instilled in him both technical skills and a profound appreciation for customer service that shaped his business philosophy. At 25, he acquired the company and grew it from a two-truck operation to a fleet of 70 vehicles providing extensive home services. Branden is enthusiastic about supporting the community and is focused on ensuring the highest standard of customer service.

Recommended Customer Reviews
I received a call from Ralph, the General Manager shortly after posting my review. Ralph was very nice and listened to what I had to say about my experience. Ralph explained that it was against company policy to park in a customer's driveway and that he would address this with the technician. He also mentioned that he would discuss the technician's behavior with him and address it so it would never happened again. Ralph explained that Conejo Valley Heating and Air is a family-run company and that my first impression and experience with them ""is not who we are."" I really appreciated hearing that and he seemed very sincere. Ralph wanted to make things right as best he could and refunded the service charge fee. I appreciated that Ralph called me, talked through my experience, made a commitment to rectify the situation, and did what he could to make things right. Based on my interaction with Ralph, I am very open to using Conejo Valley Heating and Air in the future.
After getting so much misinformation and being lied to and taken advantage of by my insurance company and two other AC repair companies, I was grateful to have Joey come take a look and give me honest information about my AC unit. He was knowledgeable, thorough and kind. I appreciate that and I say ""thank you"".
Marvel S.Had a great experience with Conejo Heating & Air technician Joey Hiott. He was very professional & respectful! Knowledgeable about every question or concern I had & completed the job in a timely manor! All while giving me great advise on how to proceed in the future with the repair or replacement of my AC units! Thanks Joey
Dan did a terrific job for us. We highly recommend Conejo Valley Heating and Air. Thank you!
Joe S.Our upstair unit stopped producing cold air in 89 degree outdoor heat. We set a service call, and Joey (service technician) promptly diagnosed problem. He repair the unit within 20 minutes...and the cold air flowed once again....
Like Magic!
Joey also checked the filters and inspected the furnace...very professional, comprehensive and courteous.
Our technician came out to investigate an issue with my outside compressor. He looked at fan motor etc. In the end he was able to diagnose my problem and replaced a faulty part. The whole time here he showed me how he diagnosed. I really appreciated him taking the time. We were totally satisfied by the work.
Cyrus B.Greg Jamorz walked us through the process of replacing our entire home HVAC system. We replaced 2 units and added new Ducts and Vents. They were very professional and the work was done on time and as promised. We are very happy and will have our new systems maintained and serviced by them.
Mae M.We recently purchased our house, to find out in inspections that the Central HVAC system was not actually part of this property. We shopped around between a few vendors and ultimately chose Canejo Valley Heating & AC.
I was cautiously optimistic that the reviews for this place were going to be artificially inflated, but we got a quote from them regardless. BRICE came out and explained the options we had and why his recommendation was to use a Bosch Heat Pump with a gas furnace, enabling us to utilize our solar production for electrical heating and cooling, while having a gas backup to heat the house should the power be out. I understand sales people need to sell things, and BRICE was on the level and didn't pressure us to have to buy right then.
We took some time to consider the system and our budget, due to the ""fun"" unexpected expenses of buying a new house, and ultimately the recent heat snap sealed the deal on us getting the entire new system. (+1 star for price and +1 star for the no pressure sales tactics)
The install was QUICK! We were told that it might get done in 1 day, but it might take 2 depending on what might come up along the way.... And the crew DELIVERED on the install in 1 day to complete the whole thing, with multiple crews showing up to get the job done on a Thursday and looking forward to a cooler house over the weekend!! (+1 star for quick installation)
There was two small things that were overlooked that caused the system to work as expected, and I called them Monday morning first thing. (-1 star for the issues that we had)
The company responded with having a technician come out the same day to come assess my system! Eric showed up to tech the system, and he is AMAZING!! He took the time to listen to my concerns and quickly formulated a plan to diagnose the system. He took care of the little things from the install like the install team they missed sealing a single hole in the intake register and the heat pump had been charged with too much refrigerant. There was an LED lighted piece that was installed with the light pointed into the house, and he didn't have one piece that would've been needed to solve this installation issue. Eric said they would get the part and come back to fix the last issue. (+2 stars for solving the problem and educating me along the way)
Throughout this whole experience with this company I've heard all their employees talk about how great of a company it is to work for, and why they left their prior company to come work Canejo Valley Heating & AC. Their slogan is not just words and they do really take care of any issues rapidly! (+1 star for employees being honest about their employer with a customer)
Overall experience had been a positive one and will recommend them as a solid company to purchase products from.
I had my AC and heating units installed by this company and all I can say is they're top notch. It doesn't matter who you talk with everyone is knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. I recently had them out and the 2 technicians Alfredo and David were so helpful. They fixed my problem for only the $87 service fee despite the fact that a new breaker needed to be installed on my electrical panel.
Frank B.Conejo Valley Heating & Air provided friendly and efficient annual maintenance for our mini split units for years. When it was time to upgrade and expand, Conejo Valley Heating & Air gave us competitive quotes, provided quick and friendly installation, and now we can live happily ever after in a well-cooled environment. Greg Jamroz, Manager, helped us coordinate our needs, including deciding what AC units to purchase and why. He also helped us replace an old whole-house fan with a new smaller, quiet replacement. Our house is all-electric and built circa 1960-something. Their electrician, David Plunkett, helped us ensure the old wiring worked for the new and additional AC units. In the office, Candice Leonard kept everything scheduled and on track! Thanks to you and everyone on the team for all for the great, friendly, and fast services you provide!
