Richard and his helper came in and did a great job installing a new A.O. Smith hot water heater. The piping is expertly done (I have a three-family house that's 14 years old so have had plenty of experience to see BAD plumbing) and went out of his way to assure that other items were in order in the room. I can't say enough good about the install team from Complete Plumbing. Work was done 2 weeks ago and I don't anticipate any issues with this equipment going forward (unit has a 12-year warranty and is supposed to be self-cleaning; Richard warned me that it's still a good idea to drain and refill the machine every year, and marked the date of install on the unit).

Home depot sent these guys to install the water heater that I bought. This was in March 2021. The guy added quite a few extras saying they were necessary for code, which I presume is correct. He first installed the water heater with the gas pipe line not straight and sticking out to the room, which I asked to be corrected. By November 2021, the hot water outlet from the water heater is leaking. I was thinking this should be covered by the 3 years in house labor included with the water heater. That water outlet pipe was newly put in by this company's first visit. I was calling the number for 3 days before the same guy came in. He fixed the leak but still charged me $165. Surely this should be for no cost since he himself installed this new just 6 months ago.

The gentlemen from the company came to install a water heater. They mistook the boiler for a water heater and asked why we have 2 water heaters. They uninstalled the old water heater and put a new one in but the water heater did not turn on. The installer said there was no power coming to the water heater from my breaker. I asked if he checked this and he said he did not and refused to. I then had to call an electrician to tell me my house is fine and there was power going to the water heater but the water heater was not turning on and that the water heater itself was the thing that had something internally wrong. With Home Depot we set up another appt but they either went to the wrong house or did not knock on the door. They did call my cell but as a teacher, I was unable to answer. However, my mother in law was gardening in the yard and my wife was working 10 feet from the front door. They also said they left a note but there was no note on my door. That is why I am giving the benefit of the doubt that they went to the wrong house. Home Depot has tried the past 2 days to get them back but the company says they do not have time yet. Their van says they provide 24 hour service. I have 2 small children 3 and 6 who have been without hot water for 5 days. Home Depot is working really hard and has been exceptional in the process and this is the first time I have had any problems working with Home Depot's contractors.
