Ugh, I wish I had called someone else!

Competitive plumbing is now owned by Mark Wallace Plumbing. Mark and his son Jordan are very nice and skilled plumbers. However, my biggest complaint is their terrible lack of communication! I was never sure if they were going to show up or not. They were difficult to get a hold of on the phone, did not return calls or text messages and were not clear when they were coming by.

They took weeeeeeks to install a shower handle due to issues unrelated to them. They were trying to get an extension piece which never fit so they ended up jerry-rigging the valve without sealing it properly and did it all janky! I had to have another plumber come and fix it!

The last few times they came by they just made me feel bad complaining about the tile guy and what a bad job he did (I thought he did great!). I just got fed up and wanted the job done and them gone.

I regret calling them in the first place!

I wish I could give 0 stars! We spoke to and set up a time to come to look at a job for 3 different plumbing repairs in our home in Cayucos. Said they'd show up between 2:30-4:00.... still waiting 3 days later. At least call or text if you can't make it. Maybe the surf was good that day! So irresponsible to set appointment and not show! Just really disappointed

Ken was professional, prompt, and completed the job quickly. I had a main water line coming into the house that needed a valve and new connection. Ken was able to out within 24 hours of me calling and finished the job on his first visit.

He also gave me some helpful information about a water filtration system that came with our house when we bought it. Competitive Plumbing will be my first call for any future plumbing needs.

Called when my water heater broke. They came out fast, were reasonably priced and cleaned up nicely after they were done. I will definitely call them again for any plumbing need.

Contacted Competitive Plumbing after reading positive Yelp reviews to fix a leaky toilet. The plumber that had been sent over by our home warranty company was very inexperienced and was reluctant to work on the unit, as it was attached to the floor by grout. I called Ken at Competitive, and he had a guy out the same day. They had done these type of projects before and quoted a very fair price. The day the repair was to be completed, Ken's plumber got hung up, and he came over himself. The project was completed within an hour without any issues, and everything is working fine. Ken went the extra mile and did a great job at a competitive price. I highly recommend Competitive Plumbing to all Los Osos residents.

I have used Competitive Plumbing a number of times.

The first time, while changing out a faucet on my own, the supply line sprung a leak and I couldn't get it to stop unless I turned off the water to the whole building. Jeremiah came out at 11pm and fix the leak at no extra charge for the time of day. He was pleasant, cleaned up after himself, and explained what he was doing.

I have called them since for my home and business.

I can't say enough great things about these guys. Ken and Bobby first helped us with replacing our broken water heater with a tankless option. They we're amazing to work with - knowledgable, fast, nice, honest. A couple months ago we had another issue and they came out, said they thought it might be a septic issue instead of plumbing. I appreciated their honesty in telling me that rather than just charging us for unnecessary plumbing work. Most recently, they came and repaired a leak that we had under our house. Ken came by on his way out of town just to make sure we were not left dealing with a leak over the weekend. Again they were quick, honest, great to work with, and very reasonably priced. I highly recommend them!

Ken was referred to my by a friend when my water heater died on a Sunday. I just started a new job and in my probationary period. He worked with me to schedule a time that was convenient. We discussed options and costs, and he was able to fix my old unit quickly and affordably. I will definitely use him again!

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, I re-state that as I was not a customer, I called to try and get an appointment, no one answered, went to voice mail, NO FREAKIN CALL BACK, I used Jerry's Plumbing & heating, someone actually answered & I was able to make an appointment. No call back from Ken at competitive plumbing, sad way to do buisness, just a call to say you were busy would have been nice, BTW this post is 3 days after the fact.
