DO NOT USE COMPASS PLUMBING

DO NOT USE COMPASS PLUMBING
My husband has been deployed and I am alone with 2 small kids(3 and 5). My faucet in backyard frozen over the winter and leaked when turned on. so I called this company.
This guy showed up and said he needed to cut open the wall in side the house to work on it, but I asked him to try less invasive approach so he started working from outside which worked just fine. Turned out it was an easy fix, just changing the faucet, nothing complicated. It took 2 hours for this guy to finish it, including talking on the phone in his van, writing the bill, and loading his tools. He worked so slow! When he was done, he wanted $468!!! with senior discount! He said he charges $150 an hour!! I argued. He called someone on the phone and asked me ""How much do you want to pay?"" Is this some kind of used car dealer? I felt so sick to my stomach that this guy was trying to take advantage of me. I just wanted him gone, just out of my house. I paid $300 plus tax. After he was gone, I broke down. It was so sad that they take advantage of a mom without a husband around.
Please share this so this company won't be ripping off and taking advantage of other people any more.

We didn't have any work done because the quote was so outrageously expensive.
We have a small bathroom which needs the vanity plumbing moved 6 inches, a wall mount toilet converted to a floor mount, and lastly plumbing moved from a shower wall to a different shower wall located within 2-3 feet. The quote was $ 6300.00
No thanks

Great service and price, would definitely use them again. Using Compass essentially saved us about $1,500 and restored my trust that there are honest companies out there.
Another company had recommended to replace the water tank (which is not even 6 years old) because the connections used by the builder were supposedly corrosive and just replacing the electrical elements would only provide a temporary fix. They also charged me about $100 just to take a 2 minute look at it.
In contrast, Jimmy with Compass gave us a free estimate, and after careful evaluation confirmed that the tank was in good condition, the parts only a bit rusty (which is normal) but not corroded, and that the replacement of only the elements was all that's needed. This alone was already significantly less than a comparable estimate with the first company.
The repair with the needed parts was already done the next day, and I am thankful that we came across Compass Plumbing.

Hi everyone just wasted a day waiting for these guys was told ""We'll be there tomorrow at noon to two then one then two then three rolls by and then ""Were sorry everybody is at a raw sewage issue"", so is mine. ""Is there anyng we could do?"" Yes pay for my lost day.

We had the work done and it was finished in a day and was the exact amount quoted even though he had to run to the store to pick up a few things. He even had us call him when we were done tiling and he stopped by to put the fixtures back on. Would definitely use him again.

My husband and I have used Compass Plumbing for two jobs in the last year related to our kitchen remodel -- moving the gas line to our stove and fixing the plumbing under our new sink and garbage disposal. Two quick and easy jobs that were done in a timely manner at (what I think are) reasonable prices.
It's hard to be really enthusiastic about a plumbing service without having a lot of previous plumbing issues/experiences, but the bottom line is, I trust these guys to get the job done and to respect my house, my time, and my budget.
I hope to be able to bump this review up to 5 stars after next week when Compass will be coming back out to our house to install new water and drain lines for our laundry room remodel project.

These guys are great! Always fair with their pricing and very responsive. I've had a few different issues with my home.
The first project was to replace sinks and faucets. The bathroom faucet leaked a little and it wasn't a problem having them come back to fix it... In fact they came back right away after I noticed the issue.
On another project I had a significant clog in my toilet that caused some back-flow issues - they came and research the problem. Many other plumbing companies might make up a problem to gauge you for more money - Compass was honest and trustworthy and said everything looked okay and the issue was probably temporary.
I'd recommend Compass to anyone looking for an honest, qualified plumbing company.

I'm very happy that we found these guys! When I called to see if anyone could come out, Rachel was friendly and pleasant to talk to when she set up my appointment. She called me right back when she had someone that could come over quicker.
The estimate was that was given (which was free) was accurate and affordable. I also felt like they were completely honest and up-front with me. Thank you Josh and Chad-Job well done , they were great!
I would definitely work with them again.

I replaced (3) bathroom sinks in my house but I just could not get the 3rd sink to connect to the drain stub. After several trips to the hardware store, I finally called the pros. Compass Plumbing sent Josh. He arrived on time, did quick work, and charge a fair price. Now I have (3) functioning bathroom sinks and Josh was really helpful.
... and even though Chuck didn't make it this trip, I'm sure he does a great job too!

Compass scheduled my work quickly. My plumber, Josh, arrived on time and fixed indoor and outdoor faucets in my house in a very short time. These were issues I'd tried, but couldn't figure out how to fix on my own - Josh had no problem, and didn't try to make them into something more than they were, though did explain to me the possible scenarios with the outdoor faucet, which fortunately didn't apply to my faucet. The bill was very reasonable. He even took time to show me how to work my water valve at the street. Very happy with his work and Compass. Highly recommend.
