DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY FOR ANYTHING ! ! ! !
I recently hired Commercial to install a whole new HVAC unit in my house that never had heating/cooling. This huge project cost me over $17,000. Unfortunately, one little problem caused by a neglectful technician, caused a huge leak in my laundry room. The technician simply FORGOT to attach a zip tie to the AC condensation tube that was supposed to be attached to my washing machine water outlet. As the washer was used, the tube became loosened from the outlet until it fell onto the floor and draining water between ever tile crack and baseboard. I now have a completely ruined floor and serious mold and mildew growth. Who is at fault in this situation? The hard working customer that paid 17 grand or a lack of zip tie? Or the VERY dishonest company that lacks ethics and customer service? It is very sad I trusted this company to do a decent job and is MORE than happy to take your money, but when they are at fault, ignore every call. I am now emotionally and physically (stress/air quality from mold) effected by this experience and I will 1,000% take this to court if I have to. They took advantage of the wrong women. I know if I were a man with this complaint, I would have a new floor by now.
Had a great experience with Commercial. First Joe came out was on time and gave a very competitive price.
Gave us options for date and times and they where there right on time.
Taylor and Kris were great they ask questions and then went right to work.
The new mini splits went in and they work great.
They guys left the place looking better then when they showed up worked super quick. And where easy to ask questions of
Would highly recommend them and plan to use in the future.

Carter U.The best, the best, the best! After working with them in a previous life (or marriage), when my HVAC system went belly up in my newly purchased home, I knew exactly who I wanted to handle the job. The first tech came out to diagnose on a Tuesday and by Friday afternoon I was up and running with a new reliable Trane system. Everyone you deal with excels in customer service, efficiency, and they aren't in the business of overselling you more than you need.
I have used Commercial Services for over 10 years on two homes. The plumbers have always been excellent until this past year. They keep sending out a young fellow who does not want to work. I always have to ask him to do the obvious. So when I called today, I asked he not be sent out. The dispatcher did not inquire as to my dissatisfaction but instead gave me a brush off by quoting a week out to service my urgent need. They just lost my business.
Kenny C.Just a PSA: I had the most disappointing customer service experience with Commercial Service. 2 years ago, I purchased a HVAC system from them, and last night the heat went out just as we were approaching dangerously low temperatures. I have children and pets, so I was not in a place where I could shop for services or wait, so I called them. Prior to speaking with the technician, I had already identified that the error code meant there was an issue with an open high limit switch, and the technician agreed with me over the phone. He informed me it would likely be a $276 after-hours service charge. I was between a rock and a hard place, so I agreed. Unfortunately, the technician did not arrive with a replacement part, so he had to temporarily fix the switch so that it would close. This took between 40 and 45 minutes. The charge was $414, and I assumed this would also include the follow up the next day when they actually did replace the switch. I was wrong. When I questioned the ethics of this with their VP, I was treated as though I just didn't understand that they provided services that no one else does, and that's why they are (significantly) more expensive. After the politely insulting lecture I received, he informed me that he would offer to enroll me in their maintenance program at no additional cost. That was his solution. This was their unacceptable compromise. As a 46 year old who has been a home owner for 2 decades, I have had extensive experience with other HVAC companies. I had a technician from Heflin who I worked with for years who came at all hours, and never charged me a 3rd of the price Commercial Service did. I'm disappointed that CS did not come to my house WITH the warrantied part they were aware was likely the problem, and that they wanted to charge me more than the already silly after-hours price. Do not recommend.
T D.This company is the absolute best. We've gotten both our furnace and hot water systems replaced by them, as well as annual maintenance checks.
They are upfront about repairs vs. replacement options; we were able to squeeze another year of 'borrowed time' from our furnace before complete replacement for only ~$100. Scheduling is a breeze on-line, the technicians are ALWAYS reliable, and they are prompt/easy to get in touch with for any estimate questions or concerns.
Well the service was what it was expected to be. The AC works fine now and they time frame in which they delivered was good also. Only one day between call to appointment, so that was decent. My issue here is the pricing. With only having blown two capacitors, and coming away with a 307.00 bill, I find this pretty high. The two capacitors that were replaced in my unit only total to under $50.00. That's not even buying cheap parts made in China either. So to come away with a high bill for what took about an hours worth of time is pretty ridiculous. Commercial has serviced my Air for a couple years now and had been pretty reasonable prior to this. But after their ""We go by a pricing book for our repairs, not actual costs"", that is deterring me from them for any future repairs. Not every job is the same set up or design. To price everything off of the hardest to get to, or hardest to work on units is extremely poor practice. Base the work off the job at hand and nothing else.
Rocky F.This review is for both Commercial Service HVAC service AND their partner company, R & S Plumbing.
Two years ago, when we bought our home in Bloomington, the HVAC system needed to be upgraded. The estimate we received from Commercial Service was the most reasonable we received and they had the quality HVAC equipment we wanted. The installation was not easy (very tight space in our cellar) but they did a great job. We have them come back every year for seasonal maintenance and they are friendly and efficient.
Regarding R & S Plumbing, we had them install a sump pump in our cellar when we first moved in. Another difficult installation that they made look easy.
Yesterday I discovered a leak under the kitchen sink. It was 3:30PM but the dispatcher from R & S was able to get a plumber over to our house within 30 minutes. The plumber who arrived was awesome. He found the leak right away and not only repaired it, but showed me why it was leaking. He also tested his repair several times to ensure that all was well.
The charge for the plumbing repair was just over $100 which I thought was very reasonable. Highly recommend both Commercial Service and their partner company, R & S Plumbing.
Commercial Service installed a new air conditioning unit for us last spring. They were prompt, courteous and efficient. Communication was clear and site clean up was perfect. We are extremely happy with their work. We also use their seasonal maintenance service. I highly recommend Commercial Service.
Adam N.To be clear - this review is not based on my experience with them directly.
A former renter of mine called on them to service the furnace for winter. They did the standard checkup. I realized later they left a sticker not just indicating they serviced it, but also installed it.
When I expressed my concern, they were very quick about getting back to me. So while I haven't had any personal interactions, their customer service seems good. I think it would be better to leave a notice that you simply serviced the unit, though. Don't imply you installed it when you didn't.
