Purchased a ductless mini split heat pump to serve as the primary main floor heat source in a home we where purchasing that only has electric services, no gas. They came out and measured and looked around, gave us quotes. I wanted a Mitsubishi but the guy talked me into the brand they recommend Carrier saying it would work better. Funny enough now a year later Mitsubishi is what they are pushing on their website.
Install went fine, $5,000 later I have it installed. First summer it cannot cool the space to under 75 in the summer running all day, I figure we bought it for heating so cut our losses on the cooling being effective. The first winter, its a mild winter, it cannot heat the house above 68 degrees we have had to use the baseboard heaters and now the next winter install a pellet stove to offset what was a $300-350 heat bill last winter for several months. The mini split was supposed to be efficient and cut our electric bill in the winter but our usage is up from the previous homeowner that actually heated the whole house, we only heat 3 rooms as two bedrooms are empty, we even put the baseboards on a programmable thermostat and have cut back use there.
I feel like they over sold the efficiency of the unit and messed up on estimating what size unit we would need for the space to be heated and cooled, it just feels undersized. I reached out to the company several months ago around our 1 year mark and they never got back to me on my issue with it being undersized.
I recently purchased a new central A/C unit from Temp Right in Missoula and they were great. I am so grateful to have a cool home in this summer heat. The salesman snd the installer were friendly and professional. They were on time and worked efficiently while in my home. I am very pleased and highly recommend Temp Right HVAC team!
I will never call this company again for service. They were extremely. I waited two hours and finally got a call back. BUT when the tech calls and asked what was going on and I explained to him and he says, that's weird. Then proceeds to say, he likes his over time but needs to stop at some point.
Do you have space heaters? Yes they have been going for two hours now. Then he says, well it will cost a lot for me to come out at this time of night so do you still want me to come out or? NO THANK YOU. Bye
With negative temps with a wind chill and some one with out a furnace running properly, you give me that attitude.
I will not refer you to anyone either.
You are only getting one star because you HAVE TO MARK ONE to continue so your review can be posted. Other wise I would not have given you any.
Worst Plumbing company I've ever worked with. Charged twice as much as quoted. Wouldn't complete job until paid in full. We completed some of the work ourselves, they kept saying they completed the work then tried charging for it.
The are trained not to answer your questions and continue to admit to no wrong doing.
If you want to to pay too much for poor service and horrible work temp right Plumbing is for you. If I could give you no stars I would.
Terrible service goes right to the top with Travis Deaton. Less than a week after the work was completed it failed causing water damage.
Travis Deaton would not service the repair. So, not only do they have horrible service, they also don't stand behind it.
Temp Right gave me phenomenal service. After a total debacle with AllPro heating that left me without heat and with a faulty system, I called Temp Right. Justin assessed the problems which were so multitudinous that all the work by AllPro had to be torn out and redone. The building inspector agreed that that was necessary.
Justin gave me a very reasonable price and they were out within a couple of days to do the work. They began after the inspection starting about 10:00 a.m. They sent a plumber and electrician to sort out the disaster that had been created, tear everything that All Pro did and put in a proper on demand hot water / boiler system. Their workers stayed until 9 pm Friday so I would have heat. There were a few touch ups that were done Monday. I can't say enough good things about the professionalism, efficiency and quality of their work. As temperatures plummeted, the house is the warmest it has been in my 27 yrs of ownership.
Thanks Temp Right
After repeatedly finding no willing or able help among many companies, due, apparently, to a month-long heat wave, and a weekend without my AC, I found Temp Right to be altogether professional, courteous, and prompt with Pam and Julie on a busy Monday afternoon. Service technician Andy arrived shortly, and found the problem with my outdoor condenser at once, departed briefly to acquire the necessary part, and returned to get my AC running, good as new, in minutes! The charges were reasonable, I thought, as I would have gladly paid much more to get such good service. Glad to know I now have a reliable and honest service contact in case of future need, and I'd happily recommend Temp Right Service to any friend or neighbor.
I contacted the owner in April 2018 regarding the issue, he agrees to credit the whole bill.
Another company (Garden City) told me I needed an Electrician to fix my Coleman Furnace. The service man, Andy was very professional & courteous. Only reason I did not give 5 stars is because I think charging $85 just for coming out and not taking it off the bill if they do the repair seems a bit heavy-handed. Also seems the charge for the part was a bit high. But, overall I am satisfied.
C K.Dave and Brandon came to our home and rescued us from a horrible situation. The rental we moved to was built in the 60s/70s and can you believe they Never cleaned out the vents? Needless to say, when we turned the heat on, once the weather started getting colder, we were in trouble; mostly our lungs. These two gentlemen came in and were very communicative and kind. They put their heart in their work which made them more thorough then others and they did a terrific job. I'd recommend them anytime.
I am the property manager for a homeowner in Missoula. I called Temp Right for an annual maintenance check due to the sticker on the AC unit. The tech arrived right on time and was very friendly and professional. When he left he asked for payment and I asked if they could bill the homeowner directly. He thought they could do that and then left.
Then the Temp Right phone calls started. Pam [a bookkeeper?] started out quite testy as though we [the homeowner and I] were trying to get away without paying. She left an edgy phone message and when I called back she said she wanted the homeowner to call with his credit card number and that ""we expect payment at the time of service"". I think this is an excellent business practice AND reminded her that the driver was the one who started this ball rolling. I left a message with the homeowner who, unfortunately, did not call Pam with his credit card number but asked for a bill to be sent. This put Pam in Junk Yard Dog mode. She called me again and said, ""Due to nonpayment I have sent this account to our Comptroller who will mark it as No More Service Until Paid!"". Way to encourage return business, Pam! Thank goodness there's Garden City Plumbing and Heating.
