Nobody ever wants to have a plumbing problem, but when one does occur, we want them fixed immediately. Comfort Plumbing makes having them, if not a pleasure, at least tolerable. They are responsive, reasonable and reliable. Who can ask for more?

I am so relieved to have this top notch Plumbing company's services. Having had some unpleasant experiences in the past with other plumbing outfits, I was jaded. Once we had this company handle several projects for us, I can finally relax and not worry about it anymore. They show up on time, are friendly, offer great recommendations, assist us in decisions, and best of all, do great work. We have had Allen as our plumber for our projects and he is very good. I have no doubt that all of their plumbers are great. They have a permanent customer with us.

Hot water is one of those luxuries that we don't appreciate enough. When my hot water heater suddenly stopped working and I discovered it was sitting in a pool of its own blood (rusty water), I knew I'd have some leg work to do because of the type I had.

I contacted several companies to discuss my options. The office contacted me immediately to schedule and also immediately confirmed what I already knew about the type of water heater I had. They know their stuff.

I had 2 other companies come out for quotes before Comfort. In a hot water crisis, it's easy to lose patience and not want to wait a day for another quote, but I'm glad I did.

Comfort came out and discussed several options with me when the other companies pushed preferred options, would not offer alternatives, or could not source my type of hot water heater.

In the end, we settled on what made sense and their quote came in significantly lower for comparable equipment.

The install went pretty smoothly despite the technician needing to do quite of bit of retrofitting to make the new larger water heater fit the same location.

There were some rough edges here and there, which I've come to expect if I want a reasonably priced service.

The paperwork was somewhat old school. Sign, scan and return. But if the low overhead and minor inconvenience means they can keep prices reasonable, I am happy to do it.

It took over a week to get me on the schedule, but this was clearly communicated up front. What this means to me is they don't have any techs that are just waiting in reserve as that requires a lot more overhead, which means higher prices. I wasn't pleased with the delay, but I accept it as a new normal for service-based businesses.

The tech was 1 hour late on install day because he couldn't get the equipment at the closest supplier. He called ahead and it didn't impact the overall project timeline, but I can't help but wonder what happens if, like the other companies I contacted, the equipment I needed wasn't available at all.

In the end, I still give them 5 stars for knowledge, communication, price, and quality of service, Will use them again if needed.

I've called Comfort Plumbing at least 10 times over the last few years. We have a three story1895 Victorian downtown in Nevada City, and a newer flat we're renting nearby off Grove St. They've handled everything. They've tightened or replaced leaky sink and toilet pipes, adjusted 3 running toilets to fill and flush properly, replaced a shower valve, put in a new high end kitchen faucet and got down in the trenches replacing a sprinkler valve and cutting and replacing rusted old irrigation pipe. They are a busy team, but prioritize based on our availability and urgency. Cathy is a good listener and takes my information and reviews her jobs for the day and the week and let's me know when they can come by to do the job right. They give a time window and stick to it and call to keep me informed. Don't hesitate to leave a message. Often they can come sooner. She has a great team of plumbers to choose from for the job. I usually enjoy Matt's practical advice and solid work. I trust them with anything water. I think their pricing is fair for the quality of work and piece of mind they offer. You're in good hands here.

I loved working with this company from beginning to end. We just moved into a new house and brought our old BBQ with us, which only works with natural gas. Because of that, we needed to run a new supply like from the main pipe, out to the deck where the BBQ is. This was obviously NOT an emergency situation and Comfort is very busy, but the office team continually kept me updated re openings and apologized that they couldn't get to my job immediately, which was fine - it's winter! They sent Matt out to do an estimate and of course, nothing was as easy as ""I"" thought it should be, but Matt patiently explained to me how MY plumbing was hooked up and what he needed to do. He then came back and accomplished the job much quicker than I was expecting. I am very picky about vendors and customer service and Comfort Plumbing hit all of my bells and then some - you won't be disappointed if you decided to hire them.

Matt of Comfort Air provided a reasonable quote & we decided to go ahead with installation of a Navien tankless water heater. Matt removed our existing 14 yr. old Navien tankless water heater, we had a noise problem with the tankless because it was mounted incorrectly by the original contractor. Matt did a GREAT job mounting our new unit - it's quiet, we can't tell when it's on, and it's mounted on a post in our basement below our master bedroom. Matt took great care in mounting the unit, making sure there was sufficient insulation. He was patient when explaining how to program the new unit. Thank you Matt, thank you Comfort Air!

Kathy responded quickly and graciously over the phone, and the next day Allen fixed all my plumbing issues in under an hour. I recommend Comfort Plumbing for its excellent service and honest price. With an older home, obviously things go wrong. Unfortunately for us it was always at an inopportune time (Nights, Weekends, Holidays) Comfort is your go too. Cathy and Rhett and the rest of the staff are top notch. Professional, reliable and personal. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!!!!

Kudos to Comfort Plumbing for replacing my 3 outdoor spigots that were 50 years old and leaking. They answered my call and set up an appointment convenient for me. Matt did a great job and I appreciated that he wore a mask. Highly recommend and I will be using them for all my plumbing needs in the future.
