Comfort Matters Heating, Cooling, & Plumbing
Company Overview
At Comfort Matters Heating, Cooling, & Plumbing, we prioritize customer satisfaction in our heating and air-conditioning services. Founded with a commitment to delivering top-notch service and quality, our headquarters is in Maple Grove, MN. Our staff includes experienced technicians dedicated to establishing our company as the premier service provider in the Greater Minneapolis North West Metro.
As a locally owned business, our focus remains on delivering excellent service in heating, air-conditioning, and plumbing while maintaining a strong emphasis on quality.
Take a moment to compare our guarantee with the fine print and limitations that other companies often include. Many competitors only guarantee the equipment's functionality—they do not ensure your satisfaction with the service or that the completed work meets your expectations. This commitment is why we see continuous growth and an increasing number of happy customers annually. Call us for your plumbing and HVAC needs and find out what you’ve been missing.
Following my graduation in HVAC design, I entered the research and development field with a major HVAC manufacturer. My role involved pinpointing product issues and engineering solutions to meet top quality standards. I gained extensive experience working alongside over 400 HVAC product manufacturers and gained insights to help customers save money while ensuring reliable heating and cooling systems. Comfort Matters was founded to offer these solutions to homeowners in the Twin City metro. In 2010, we received 1st Place in the national ""Quality Homes Comfort Awards"" for a project in Golden Valley, and in 2011, we were awarded the title of #1 Heating/Cooling company in Maple Grove by the Readers Choice Awards.

Hollee S.2/19/24: Jimmy did a plumbing inspection for us again (he did our inspection last year, too) and was friendly, professional, meticulous, and very knowledgeable. He flushed our water heater, replaced the clearly corroded solenoid rod, didn't try to upsell us on anything we didn't need, checked all of our faucets and plumbing, and even--VERY kindly--helped explain how to hook up our new fridge water line as it was delivered while he was here. He went above and beyond during the several hours he was in our home. We are thankful for our Sunshine Club Membership with Comfort Matters so we can have free plumbing and HVAC inspections and tune-ups each year, priority scheduling, and discounts on any repairs. Thanks, Jimmy!
8/1/23: Sam was very professional, attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely cared about our questions and equipment. He worked to resolve a noise we had been hearing from our AC, going above and beyond the normal tune-up to take things apart to get to the root of it. Thanks, Sam!
I WISH we had called someone else!! They charged us over $1000. just to put in a sink faucet. then it still leaked! They also pressured us into posting a positive review which seems shady!! We had the faucet already. Then they pushed us to sign up for this monthly program they had. I would NEVER EVER go with them again and as soon as this contract is over we will cancel it! PLEASE consider using some other plumber or heating/cooling company and save yourself the frustration we had to go through.
Ben E.After we got everything fixed I've realized that heat and an ornery wife can make one overreact. While Comfort Matters may have given us some information that at the time was incorrect I don't believe it was done intentionally or to be misleading. They said they had just been out to do a preventative service so I didn't think it necessary to check the AC outside. If I had I would have noticed that the filter on the unit had been completely covered in grass and debris. Which was causing the issue. I take some blame for not going out and checking this but took the word of the person on the phone that they had recently been out. However, it was in fact NOT a Preventative Maintenance that they came out for. This the confusion. I have otherwise had good results with this company and will continue to use them for all my rental properties as well as my personal home HVAC and plumbing needs.
Beware of misleading service notice from this company, they claim your warranty could be in jeopardy if you don't have them inspect your equipment. Looks like they're trying to lure non-suspecting customers.....
we had scheduled an appointment for a plumber on Tuesday, September 20, we were given a window of noon to 4:00 so my husband took off the afternoon to be home for this appointment so we can get our issue taken care of. Communication was a little iffy as they said they called both of us and left us voicemails letting us know they wouldn't be able to make the appointment. I got the voicemail but not until half an hour after the end of the appointment time. My husband sat at home from noon to 4 waiting to hear from them and never did. Only to find out they weren't gonna be able to come because we had been bumped out for a different issue. I am empathetic to the other customer that needed them however we had an appointment scheduled, and my husband took time off work to be there for it and then to find out they weren't coming as scheduled and that they could guarantee us another appointment on Friday, today is Tuesday. do they only have one plumber?
I feel like they could've been more accommodating since they're the ones that canceled the appointment with us and without notice. Maybe had they said that they can be out first thing the next morning we would've been a little bit more likely to use them however telling us they could guarantee us a spot three days later just doesn't cut it.
So we told them don't bother, we will find a different plumber, which we did. they're coming first thing Wednesday morning.
We would not recommend comfort matters for a plumbing services.
Andrew B L.We've used Comfort Matters for all our HVAC related work since moving into our home last September. We only have the highest praise for CMs maintenance and installation work. Chris (consultant), Nick and Ian (installation) took care of our new HVAC system install needs from start to finish. We had no concerns nor issues to think about, other than what system and cost was best suited for our townhouse unit. After selecting the best option CM's installation crew came a few days afterwards and did the complete HVAC install in one day (actually about 7 hours). By that evening we were up and operating. They made sure we were comfortable with the process from start to end. You won't go wrong using this company. Even before coming out they send a brief bio of the techs or consultants serving us so we get to know a bit about them up front.
We purchased a Daikan system 3 option and Aprilaire whole house humidifier. So far, we are very pleased with the system and twice a year maintenance.
Kevin H.Always responsive, and professional! They do great work, and they don't try to pressure people or up-sell anything. Highly recommend.
Scheduling was quick and easy which was extremely beneficial due to our emergency issue. I received the text with Anthony's picture and details. He was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and diagnosed the problem quickly. He communicated all details every step of the way and gave us options to consider. He not only solved our issue and provided great advice, but he left us with full confidence that our issue was fully resolved.
Very poor experience. I reviewed this company recently. The owner responded back. The owner was responded to.
As I understand it no review can be removed by the company being reviewed. I was able to find and read the review until just after the owner Corey responded. Where is my review? Has Yelp also been less than honest/ethical? Bottom line, I was deceived. I was told there was a hole in the back of my furnace and that the furnace needed to be replaced. Total ""stress-out"". I'm past retirement age, working as a nurse... yes, through all of our covid and it's uncertainties/stressors, paying off a furnace loan I had no choice but to take out. I was shown a picture of a hole that was supposedly in the back of my furnace. I also just had had my furnace inspected by this company and received a perfect ""bill of health"". I was never shown the actual back of my furnace either, by the way. Shortly after, my neighbor told me there was no hole. I kept quiet out of embarrassment for falling for one of the oldest tricks in the books. I would never recommend this or any other company that puts money/greed before truth. Appalling isn't it? I'm writing this because others have likely become victims. Maybe this will help so others will not become victimized. This has rocked me. I'd like this company to publicly admit and apologize for their unethical practice(s).
Kathy.
Just had a tech out, he did a fantastic job! He was very knowledgeable, diagnosed the issue very quickly and was able to fix my a.c. He was very professional and I would highly recommend using these guys!
