Comfort Matters Heating, Cooling, & Plumbing
Company Overview
Our company, Comfort Matters Heating, Cooling, & Plumbing, emphasizes exceptional customer service in the heating and air-conditioning industry. Launched with a dedication to superior service and quality, our headquarters is in Maple Grove, MN. Our team consists of skilled professionals who aim to make us the leading service provider in the Greater Minneapolis North West Metro area.
As a locally owned business, we prioritize customer satisfaction in our heating, air-conditioning, and plumbing services while maintaining a strong emphasis on quality.
We invite you to compare our guarantee against the exclusions and limitations that many other companies use. Other service providers often limit their guarantees to the functionality of the equipment—they seldom promise that you will be satisfied with the service or that the final results will meet your standards. This dedication is the reason Comfort Matters Heating, Cooling, & Plumbing keeps growing, attracting more satisfied clients every year. Contact us for your service needs and discover what you’ve been missing.
Upon graduating with a degree in HVAC design, I started working in R&D for a leading global HVAC manufacturer. My role involved pinpointing product issues and engineering solutions to meet top quality standards. I gained extensive experience working alongside over 400 HVAC product manufacturers and developed significant expertise in delivering economical solutions for clients. Comfort Matters was created to provide these solutions to residents in the Twin City metro area. In 2010, we earned 1st Place in the national ""Quality Homes Comfort Awards"" for our work in Golden Valley, and in 2011, we were awarded the title of #1 Heating/Cooling company in Maple Grove by the Readers Choice Awards.

Recommended Customer Reviews
Kevin H.Always responsive, and professional! They do great work, and they don't try to pressure people or up-sell anything. Highly recommend.
Scheduling was quick and easy which was extremely beneficial due to our emergency issue. I received the text with Anthony's picture and details. He was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and diagnosed the problem quickly. He communicated all details every step of the way and gave us options to consider. He not only solved our issue and provided great advice, but he left us with full confidence that our issue was fully resolved.
Very poor experience. I reviewed this company recently. The owner responded back. The owner was responded to.
As I understand it no review can be removed by the company being reviewed. I was able to find and read the review until just after the owner Corey responded. Where is my review? Has Yelp also been less than honest/ethical? Bottom line, I was deceived. I was told there was a hole in the back of my furnace and that the furnace needed to be replaced. Total ""stress-out"". I'm past retirement age, working as a nurse... yes, through all of our covid and it's uncertainties/stressors, paying off a furnace loan I had no choice but to take out. I was shown a picture of a hole that was supposedly in the back of my furnace. I also just had had my furnace inspected by this company and received a perfect ""bill of health"". I was never shown the actual back of my furnace either, by the way. Shortly after, my neighbor told me there was no hole. I kept quiet out of embarrassment for falling for one of the oldest tricks in the books. I would never recommend this or any other company that puts money/greed before truth. Appalling isn't it? I'm writing this because others have likely become victims. Maybe this will help so others will not become victimized. This has rocked me. I'd like this company to publicly admit and apologize for their unethical practice(s).

Just had a tech out, he did a fantastic job! He was very knowledgeable, diagnosed the issue very quickly and was able to fix my a.c. He was very professional and I would highly recommend using these guys!
Long story short, we had previously been working with a different company who came out, spent 15 minutes testing some things and tried to sell us on $800 worth of parts/labor that would not have fixed the issue. I was furious, called Comfort Matters at 4:00 PM and they came out the NEXT DAY, spent time actually diagnosing not only the problem, but the CAUSE of the problem. Had the issue fixed (and the what caused the issue) fixed and heat working the same day. I have ripped off every single sticker and magnet on my furnace and these guys are the only ones I will call from here on out.
Beware - there are companies out there trying to sell you sh*t you don't need. Comfort Matters is not one of those companies. THANK YOU
Robot D.I've called on Comfort Matters a couple of times now and I will say they're quick, on-time, friendly, and helpful. You should be prepared for a heavy sales pitch though. They will 'helpfully' suggest hundreds of dollars in extra fixes you didn't know you needed (and probably don't), like a $700+ dollar electronic air filter I 'need' to get because the regular pleated filters are bad for the HVAC system. They'll also spend a lot of time trying to sell you a subscription to their twice annual maintenance program. If you know what you need done, and can say no to a sales pitch, Comfort Matters will do great work. If you're susceptible to sales pressure, you'll probably end up spending a lot of extra money.
Excellent work, drop the sales pressure and they're perfect.
Holly N.Jeff was great! I called these guys for a furnace tune up. He explained everything that was going on with the furnace and I felt comfortable with his recommendations. He was friendly and went above and beyond when I needed help and he even fixed my thermostat that kept flashing ""filter"". If you're looking for friendly and affordable heating and AC people, these are your guys! Highly recommend!
Steve A.Wes was very knowledgable and took his time. He answered all my questions and genuinely cared. Thanks Wes!
Amazing company with excellent technicians that are friendly, professional and very knowledgeable. I know absolutely nothing about Air conditioning, and they gave me every possible option, including repairing my existing equipment which saved me a great deal of money. I'd recommend them to anyone needing Heating or AC repairs. Great company!!!!
Salesman was friendly and helpful but workmanship was absolutely the worst I've ever had from an HVAC business. Holes were left in the wall uninsulated, loose wires were left hanging from the floor joists, electrical junction box was left hanging by its' wires (literally), and poor installation literally caused the floor joists and walls to vibrate whenever the A/C ran. I should have known better to use them when they asked for payment before any work was done. Now I know why. Doesn't it seem odd that every review you see for this company has nothing but glowing remarks? I highly doubt they're from actual customers.
Follow up Dec 2015 - I've waited to do a follow up because I didn't want to say anything out of anger which would unjustly slant the facts. After the previous review was written the owner contacted me (see his response below) and emails were exchanged. He offered to have the electrical work inspected which should have been done when the job was completed in the first place. He mentioned also that they have a money back guarantee if I wasn't happy. I told him that I wasn't really looking for a refund but that I'd rather have somebody come out to take a listen to the excessive noise. Without even sending anybody out he blamed the noise on the A/C unit and didn't acknowledge the possibility that there was something else wrong. He then went on to accuse me of saying something I never said. At that point I told him I didn't want anything to do with him or his company. He emailed back saying it was all a misunderstanding but didn't clarify as to why. I don't know what there is to misunderstand. Workmanship that was very substandard was performed followed by excuses and denials, an unwillingness to rectify excessive noise (not standing behind the work that was done), then finished off with a false accusation.
I certainly have plenty of grounds to justify being an unhappy customer. I have the photographs to back-up my claims (which were sent to the company) and I kept copies of all the emails. The excessive noise issue was never addressed, and/or a refund (or even a partial refund) was ever received.
I'm not understanding the logic. Why are companies so willing to permanently alienate a potential lifelong customer in exchange for a quick buck, especially in this case where it would have been so easy to avoid and the chance for repeat business was high? I don't get it.
