I was told it would be 89$ to look at my boiler. After the tech arrived I was told the 89 dollars was just for them to drive out. To diagnose it it would be hundreds of dollars to diagnose. It's a classic bait and switch tactic. The tech was apologetic but it's a company issue. I paid the 89 dollars and refused any other service. Don't fall for these scams people.

We had a huge issue with our main sewer line and they had to excavate. We should have done more info and looking into this because we found out they are WAY more expensive than any other place. Someone from the city mentioned the pricing was ""highway robbery"" and someone from another excavation company said it was crazy how much they were charging. Along with that, when they backfilled our yard, they did not flatten it all out. We have huge chunks all over and our yard is incredibly wonky now. They also didn't compact it and a guy who came to give an estimate for a new sidewalk told us the ground will have to settle for months now...maybe up to a year before it's fully settled as they had to dig so deep. They also cracked two squares of our main sidewalk. The guys were nice but we are very unhappy with how uneven and poorly they left our yard and with the price and their communication now that we have paid. We contacted them in regards to the cracked sidewalk and how they left out yard without grading it and they basically played the victim, saying it was a really hard project for them and they warned us of the risks with the sidewalk and the yard being a mess. Yes, the told us they may have to take out the sidewalk, but they didn't, because they didn't replace that portion of the pipe. They also warned us of the yard being torn up and a mess, but who on earth would think they wouldn't level it out?!?! That's insanity. This company claims to be a Christian company and wanting to do good for His Kingdom...which we love to hear...but when they don't give a crap about their customer's concerns, it really shows their true colors. Only use this company if you want a half-ass job for double the price.

I called 1 week in advance to have a copper pipe to plastic pipe fitting replaced. The technician, Clint, showed up on time. I showed him the issue and he told me it would cost $704. I asked him why it was so much and he said he would have to drive back to ""the shop"" to get a special fitting and that ""time is money"" and the repair is ""time consuming"". I turned the water off and left him alone. He went out to his truck and back into my house about 2-3 times. After about 45 minutes of him giving me the estimate, he came upstairs and told me I can turn the water back on and that he was done. I turned the water on and checked for leaks, which there were none, and asked him how much I owed him. He told me it was the $704 that he initially told me. I brought up how he said he had to go to the shop, and time is money, and the other reasons he justified his $700 estimate and how none of it applied since he was done in under an hour with no travel whatsoever. I asked him how he can justify charging me $700 for under an hours worth of work and $10 in parts. He told me ""thats just what we charge"". I asked him why he was still charging me the full cost even though he didn't have to travel and he told me he would drop $40 off the service charge. I reluctantly wrote him the check and immediately called the company. I spoke with Brittany from Comfort Heroes and explained everything, including, how their technician lied to me about having to travel and how ""time consuming"" this repair would be. Once again I was offered a reduction in the service call. She offered to refund me $80. I received the form in the mail and read it thoroughly. So in return for me signing the form to get $80 back I would 1. release Comfort Heroes from any further liability 2. not contact the BBB and 3. not post any negative public comments/reviews. I called Brittany back and told her I could not sign the paper and accept the 'hush money'. I told her I wanted to voice my experience with Comfort Heroes of how taken advantage I was. As soon as I told her I would be leaving negative public reviews, she told me she was forwarding everything to their legal department. I told her I was leaving the review and I have every right to do so. So to wrap it up, my 45 minute session with Comfort Heroes cost me $664.79. Comfort Heroes technician/plumber Clint lied right to my face about his estimate. I feel Brittany did nothing substantial to make me even somewhat of a happy customer, even though she said ""she tried everything"" to make me happy. The only thing Brittany told me was that ""we're a business....our technicians are certified..."" everything....except to admit that I was severely overcharged. I can't imagine how many people have accepted their ""hush money"" in exchange for no negative feedback, but for me, losing the $90 (or $664.79) is worth it if I save someone else from being ripped off like I was.

Floor drain in basement backing up. Clint from Comfort Hero's snaked the main line 75' on a Wednesday. I declined the camera as it would be an extra 390 dollars on top of the 89-dollar charge for just coming to the house and 300 dollars to snake the line. Was advised by Clint that 95 percent of clients don't need or get the camera. Friday, line is backing up again. 89-dollar charge was waived, but was charged another 300 dollars to have it snaked with a bigger machine that went 107'. Friday night drain is backing up again. Called Comfort Hero's on Tuesday as Monday was a holiday. They agreed to camera my line for free and sent Clint back out. He was only able to get 12 feet with the camera. When I questioned him how it could be clogged already since he had just snaked the line 3 day prior, Clint said blockage was probable due to female products and grease. He said he could hydro clean the line for 1000 dollars. When I declined, he suggested that I pour vinegar down the line to see if that would break it up. I called Roto Rooter, they came out same afternoon snaked the line and used the camera. Total charge 359 dollars. They also put rugs down to protect the area and cleaned up when they were done.

They did not do the work that they said that they did. The employee went through drawers and other personal items. And also played with firearms and also could have stolen items. They have horrible customer service horrible employees and just a thief of a boss. We are in the process of a BBB complaint. I hope no one uses this company. They will screw you over like they screw tons of people over.

Horrible horrible company. The employee that came yesterday to our house. Decided he'd look through drawers and anything he could find. He spent 2 hours doing absolutely nothing besides sitting on his lazy ass. We had them out at 10 am till 12 noon. In that time he did not do anything. We came home to wash clothes and take a shower and the water instantly came back up and flooded the basement again. We called for emergency help and they would not send it. So we called another company which was out here with in 10 minutes after hours. They ran a camera found the clog and fixed it. The clog was 31 feet out from where supposedly he was snaking. Which he never opened the cover to the pipe too send the snake down the main line. He just sat in the basement and went through everything. And also played around with firearms that were on a gun rack they were not near where he should of been working.
This is a horrible company we will be placing a BBB report on them and we will also be calling the owner and letting them know that they have horrible rats working for them. I hope no one else is fucked by them like we were.
DO NOT USE COMFORT HEROES THEY WILL FUCK YOU OVER NO MATTER WHAT.

heater wasn't working. they said it needed a new thermostat. They replaced the thermostat. heater still wasn't working. They came back and said it was because there was a problem with the furnace and replaced some parts. still wasn't working. came back a 3rd time and said it was because of something else.. charged for that. Furnace still wasn't working. I had someone else come out. They fixed the problem with the furnace. Golden rule had put things back together incorrectly after they ""fixed"" the furnace, and wired their new thermostat incorrectly as well. The new AC person suggested that some technicians do that on purpose so that they can keep coming back to ""Fix"" the heater until you pay for a new one. I'll never use Golden Rule again.

Friendly employees and prompt service. However, charged over $600 for 1.5 hour installation of a toilet in an already finished bathroom (plumbing in place) and the new toilet was onsite for the installer. Installer also did not remove install debris and left it in adjacent bedroom. Quotes from other installers about 60% lower. Would not recommend.

Deal with Alan, not with James. Alan Gabe is a quote for everything one night. 15 hours later James quotes us something way more. We ended up getting it done, still paying $500 more than what James quoted us and the work is total shit. Drilling Wong holes and telling us we have to patch it?!?!? Really?? Come on. Do good work and stand behind it. I will be calling to get this fixed. You don't come into someone's home and alter it and expect them to fix it. That's your job James!!!

I have no gripe about the quality of the work. What I failed to do was get a second estimate of what it would cost to replace my water heater. A couple of days after the work was done I talked to a couple of other plumbers and found out I paid more than double what it should have cost. Be sure to get a second estimate even though you'll have to pay the $95 service charge for the technician to come out.
