We had water heater issue in our condo. I called Comet and Andrew said he will be there in half hour and was there before that waiting. He just told me that since it is leaking it need to be replaced. The install looked very complicated since it was in a small closet and is used for space heating also. I consulted few plumbers and Andrew was the only one who was promptly returning the call and tried his best to get the unit in one week. The workmanship is excellent and we are very happy with this work. It has been one week since we installed our new water heater and it is been working great. While going through the heater issue I understood how difficult it is to find a good plumber and I must have called more than 10 plumbers. Our experience with Andrew in terms of work or cost or dedication or honesty was excellent.

Our bathroom had water seeping out from the toilet base. The toilet seal to the drain had broken. This is something I wanted fixed quick. They returned my call within an hour and made it out to the house a few hours later. They were quick, careful, and cleaned up afterwards. Their initial estimate on the phone was spot on. It has been a week and all is working great. Thanks!

The city informed me there was a leaking pipe on my side of the water meter. I solicited plumbers via Yelp. Andrew responded straight away and did some preliminary inspection, which involved some digging. He confirmed what the city water crew surmised: The 53 year old iron pipes were due for replacement.
Andrew gave me a rough price and time estimate, which I accepted.
The job required substantial digging through and around extensive tree roots, under the sidewalk and around subfloor concrete abutments.
The work was done on time; the price was more than fair and allowed me to make some other updates to the old fixtures, water heater and porcelain. The finishing work was also very good.
Andrew and his crew were very neat, efficient and polite.

My husband and I woke up Xmas Eve to a wonderful gift from our house: a broken water heater with NO hot water. Since we were hosting our family Xmas dinner, this was quite the curve ball in our plans.

After basic troubleshooting, we realized the 28-year old water heater had finally croaked. We called several plumbers only to find voicemails. Just when we were getting disheartened and brainstorming back-up plans, Andy called back. Yes!

He came for the house call and evaluated our situation. He agreed with our assessment, and that we needed a new water heater. He wasn't planning on working today, but seeing our dead water heater, he decided to come and help us. Seriously, how many plumbers would do that on Xmas Eve?!? Thank you, Andy!!!

We decided, to respect his time since he was suddenly working on Xmas Eve, he would take a couple other house calls while my husband and I went to buy the water heater. When he returned, he spent 4 hours removing our dead water heater and installing our new heater.

Andy is incredibly detail oriented. He pointed out several ways in which our old water heater (installed several owners ago!) was not up to code, from non-functional earthquake straps to unsoldered copper pipes! (Yikes!) The new copper pipes he soldered was routed like a pro (I'm an engineer, and it was exactly how I would have wanted it! Keep in mind, I did NOT direct/ask for the routing, he just did it like a boss!).

There was a minor mishap, which is why it's a 4-star rating instead of 5-star, but I won't go into it, because his overall work quality is spot on. Plus, we're all human, so we all make mistakes.

I tried to offer him food/drink along the way to express my gratitude for his work, but all he would take was one Coke Zero and a hot coffee.

Overall, my husband and I very much enjoyed working with Andy. He was professional, kind, considerate, and did an amazing job ALL ON XMAS EVE! Thank you, Andy!!!

I called Comet for the first time after seeing positive Google reviews when I thought my garbage disposal had gone kaput. Instead of immediately setting the stage to collect fees and schedule a costly visit, Andrew patiently asked a few questions and determined that my garbage disposal simply needed to be reset. He then proceeded over the phone to walk me through exactly how to do it myself. Five minutes later, my garbage disposal was working perfectly again! I am convinced this is an honest-to-goodness business and am now awaiting a quote for a shower faucet replacement!

We had a great experience with Comet. The review is a little over due. The day after christmas last year, our sewer line decided to collapse. Luckily we got through Christmas day first! We didn't realize of course, that it was our sewer line. We just thought we had a clogged toilet that my husband couldn't snake. We called another place first who came with big snake, which didn't do the trick. He took off to go work on another job leaving our bathroom a mess - our toilet was torn off and the floor was all wet. We called Comet after that and instead of going blind, he sent his scope down and figured out the line had collapsed. No snake would fix that! The whole process took a few days, but he dug out the front yard and replaced the line. My only complaint was that our yard didn't get put back together well ... the lawn is still terribly uneven where it was dug out, but we've got a sewer line, so that's what's important. I'd call him again for any help we need.

I couldn't agree more with the comments from Jon C. Finding a good reliable plumber is difficult at best. We found ourselves in a desperate need of a plumber on a Sunday afternoon. One call to Comet and Andrew was at our place within 30 minutes, after looking at the issue with our backed up kitchen sink he provided us with a quote before the work, got right at the problem and was done in 30 minutes and charged us exactly what he said he would. Problem solved and now a fantastic plumbing resource on file. Thank you Andrew !!!

My husband managed to punch a gaping hole in our underground water main while gardening. Of course, this happens on the weekend. We panic as water gushes across our yard, the neighbor's yard and into the street.

Called Comet and Andrew promised to be out in 1/2 hour. He came when promised, fixed the problem and abided by his original quote even though it took a bit longer than he originally thought (we had an unusual size of pipe). And it was much cheaper than I feared it might be! He didn't gouge us for emergency, weekend rates. He was kind, calm and a pleasure to deal with.

After going through several plumbers, I finally found a good one!! I had Comet Plumbing come out to look at some other plumbers unsatisfactory work (unclogging a clean out, which still was clogged) Andrew of Comet Plumbing not only unclogged it, but used the proper size rotor blade. Andrew explained to me throughly that it was only a temporary fix because my real problem was the tree roots that were blocking and had damaged the pipes over the years. Andrew described in detail what kind of ""pipe replacement"" work needed to be done and offered a reasonable price. I asked ""would he be the one on the job or someone else"" because that is something very important to me. He responded that he is the one on the job when it comes to the actual plumbing work (not the digging etc.) and he was there all the way through! The work was completed within a week and everything was replaced and cleaned up just like he said it would.
I will continue to use Andrew of Comet Plumbing for all mine and my families plumbing/sewer needs.
