Lynne H.I contracted Colorado Pluming and Gas Lines to install a gas line for our new range. Lilly who I spoke to via phone was very helpful and friendly. Jim came out to our house to give us an estimate (which was far more affordable than other estimates). We paid $600 rather than over $1000 quoted from others. They where not only affordable but didn't need to rip into the drywall which was suggested by other companies. Nick who installed the gas line was wonderful, he was on timely, professional and very friendly. Nick shared with me that this is a family run business. I enjoy giving business to a family. I have already recommended this company to others. You can't go wrong.
Carol H.Wanted to run gas line for a dryer and stove. After inspecting my home it was determined that lines could not be run without tearing into drywall or routing the lines in a long and expensive manner. They were very thorough in showing me exactly where the issues were and suggested that it was in my best interest to stick with electric. I appreciate that they had my best interests in mind instead of tearing into my house so that they could make a buck. I will be working with this company in the future.
Tamara M.I contacted Colorado Plumbing and Gas Lines to install a gas line for a gas range in my kitchen. The ladies that I spoke with in their office were incredibly helpful and friendly. They gave me good information up front which was greatly appreciated.
The gas line was run by Jim who did a great job. I could not be there during the installation, however, my father who was there during the installation had nothing but good things to say about Jim. The work Jim did was clean, simple and discrete. He even took the time to clean up some gas plumbing in my basement that was not done correctly by the previous owner of the house. When he was done, Jim cleaned up the small mess he made and left my space in better condition than it started.
My only complaint is, when I scheduled the appointment I was told that they generally schedule the electrician to come out and move the electrical so that there is a 110V plug behind the stove. This did not happen, and I was told that I was going to need to schedule the electrician for another day. While this turned out to not be a big deal, because there was already a 110V plug behind the stove, it could have been a real pain in the neck to have to wait another week to use the range, waiting for the electrician.
Over all, I am really happy with Colorado Plumbing and Gas Line. They were easy to work with, and did a good job. I will definitely use them again for plumbing and gas line work.
Quick fast service.
On time.
Fair pricing.
Needed a gas line run for my dryer. Jim ran the line and charged me a fair, per linear sq ft rate. Avoid the Flat Rate plumbers as I got a much higher price for the same job ($900 vs $500).
Need a permit? They'll do that also at the county rate. Was told that they did not need to charge me extra for that.
What's not to like?
Got gas? Check out Colorado Plumbing and Gas Lines, one of my new go to plumbers.
We needed to have some lines replaced for our tub and sink. It was a very messy and unpleasant job. Nick was very cheerful, nice and professional through the entire process. The fee he charged was less than I expected. He is very customer oriented and conscientious, and even cleaned up the black splatters afterwards; something I've never seen a plumber do!
Fabulous service! Right on time, very knowledgeable and friendly. Reasonably priced. We have found our go-to plumbers! Very happy with our experience. Couldn't have asked for anything more.
Gary A.We had this company run a gas line for us to our stove. After a conversation with both Jim and another with Maggie indicating that I wanted it run under the house and up through the floor, I thought it was a done deal. I unfortunately could not be at the house and left my wife to deal with the installation.
Upon my return, I found the line had been run outside my brick home and drilled through the brick wall. As Jim had just finished I asked him what happened to running it under the house. Jim's response to me was ""I didn't even look"".
Apparently, he just did it the easy way and didn't even go into my crawl space. He asked my wife if they could run it outside, which she said was fine. Now, my wife is not a gas line expert (that's why I didn't have her do the job), and I had already clarified in two previous conversations how I preferred it to be done. Why he didn't even check it out before starting work is beyond me.
Jim did return after a couple of phone calls and finally looked in the space. He said it could be done down there, but I would have to pay him again! He just kept pushing it back on us saying he had ""approval"" to do it that way"", and still no explanation as to why he ignored our previous two conversations. He left my home irritated and said ""do what you have to do, but I'm not doing it for free"".
I had a bid from another company to do the job correctly, and for the same price as these guys, but Jim's company came recommended, so I went with him. Hopefully this review saves someone from making the same mistake, as I will now have a nice rusty iron pipe bolted to the outside my house. If you have a problem with their work and want them to correct it, you WILL NOT get anything from them.
UPDATE: Regarding Maggie's response below... their ""serious effort"" was to come out to tell me they could have done it the way I wanted, and now wanted to charge me again to do it correctly. Notice that no mention of the two prior conversations I had with them is even addressed. Pushing the problem back on the customer seems to be their MO. And Maggie, these ""tools"" are here to give consumers a voice where they didn't have one before, but the only one who can ruin your reputation is YOU.
Hopefully the two hours of labor (the materials were already paid for) you saved by not fixing the mistake was worth this bad review for you. This is why the plumbing industry as a whole continues to have a generally bad reputation. This could have so easily been corrected and you would have had REFERRALS from a happy customer instead of complaints! Yes, I will continue inform as many as possible about my experiences with you, exactly as I would if I had a positive experience. Would you consider that ""abuse""?
I had a disappointing, not to mention costly, experience with this business.
They contacted me after getting my name from a referral site (I mentioned to the appliance repairman that the fireplace needed work, and next thing I know Maggie called.) Maggie promised to send their master plumber Jim, who has experience installing gas fireplaces and could fix mine for $150-$250 excluding parts.
The fireplace worked earlier this year (produced a flame and heat) until it was shut off because of a noticeable gas smell.
Jim arrived tinkered for almost two hours (he attached a wire, lit the pilot and tightened a bolt in the keyhole) and was about to leave without even checking whether the fireplace worked. Luckily, I flipped the switch and discovered -- no flame. Still, I was charged $175 and told I would be referred to someone else. Four weeks later, no referral and they cashed my check.
If, like me, you are on a limited budget, I would question the integrity of a business that culls referral sites, charges $100/hour, and leaves without performing the promised services. I won't be using or recommending Colorado Plumbing and Gas in the future.
First of all, I love supporting a family business, so I'm always hopeful that I'll get good work. I was not disappointed in these guys. We moved into a house that was recently remodeled, and of course whoever did the remodel screwed things up. We've had to call them out twice to fix problems created by others, and I couldn't ask for better help. The first time the fix was so easy he asked if we had any other items that needed a look since we were still under their minimum charge to come out. We had him look at something else that I'd thought we might have to budget for later, and he fixed it quickly and it was within the charge for the service call. Thrilled!
The next time we had to call them, we got similarly quick and friendly service, and I was walked through a couple of fixes so that we could make the right choice for our budget and circumstances. I sorta wanted to hug the guy ;-)
Suska B.I called these guys after calling 10 Littleton plumbing companies and getting quotes. I chose them because their quote was competitive and because of Michael I's review. The master bath in my condo was leaking on the unit below. Jim came out, took a look up in the hole my downstairs neighbors had cut in their bathroom ceiling drywall to see what the problem was, confirmed it was probably a bad toilet seal, and then replaced it. He was friendly, courteous, and professional. He educated me throughout the process, and gave me his opinion on some questions I had about the plumbing in my kitchen. It has been almost 2 months since he did the work and I haven't heard my neighbors complain, so I assume the new seal is leak free. I'll call these guys again if I have plumbing needs.
