Absolutely awful customer service. Im a tenant. My dad's the homeowner. My dad scheduled one of their plumbers to replace our disposal. 1) they didn't show up with a disposal. 2) demanded me, the tenant, sign their paperwork agreeing to costs. When I refused w/o consulting w/ the homeowner, this piece of shit rezi plumber threw a fit a stormed outta my house. Please, choose another contractor. Collins Plumbing is fly by nite. Ive worked in commercial construction for the last 20 years in this area and can recommend about 10 different plumbing contractors that are a better choice than Collins Plumbing. Fuck Collins Plumbing. Never hire them!

We had them out on 11/16/2020 due to plumbing backing up. We told the gentlemen that he needed to go into the septic and clear the pipe.
He said no it is not that.
Then he continued on and ran a snake through our walls which did nothing.
He then told us our septic tank was full which it was not. I had been emptied when we bought the house a year ago.
So, we called the septic guy to come and empty it.
Of coarse he said it was not full and cleared the pipe we told the Collins plumber to do.
Then everything was fixed and back to normal.
So we had to pay the Septic Guy $450.00 to come and clear a pipe that we asked Collins plumbing to do in the first place and paid them $218.00 to accomplish nothing.
Which took him all of ten minutes.
I would say that Ray is not a very experienced plumber and not a good listener.
Not sure if he just did not feel like doing it our what. So I give 1 star for coming out the same day. The rest was a mess.

I was not happy with this plumber and switched to another after expensive work. Some had to be redone. They did reimburse me $100.for poor work on my tub.
I can not recommend them.

Our water meter was spinning like crazy, the city said the meter is working properly. Leak Finders located a leak in the supply line, so I called Collins Plumbing. The plumbers were out the next morning, dug the hole and showed me 2 leaks in the water line. They worked diligently to make repairs. The work was done quickly, and now no more insane water meter. Collins Plumbing is responsive, reasonable and reliable.

Wow, I'm really really happy with Collins. If Yelp had 6 stars available I would give them 6! I needed them to install a new tub/shower valve and called them on a Saturday morning thinking I'd have to set up an appointment a few weeks out. The lady who answered the phone was extremely courteous and said they could come out that day. They called back just before their scheduled window and the person calling was very apologetic saying they were on an emergency call that was running long and asked if they could come out the next morning. The fact that they called and apologized went a very long way with me. Anthony, who was very courteous, came out the next morning and had the new valve installed very quickly. The price was VERY reasonable too! They are open 7 days a week and I was told over the phone that their rates are the same all 7 days. I will certainly be calling Collins with any future plumbing needs! Thank you Collins Plumbing!

This is based on my recent experience and I'll be happy to update the review should I use them for something else in the future.

Tech was not very knowledgeable and did not ask the right questions or look around. My mother said they left glue or so other substance around the toilet and her mats.

I had Jess from Collin's come out 2 days in a row and still was not able to give me a diagnosis for a clogged toilet. He snaked the toilet, but said he had to come back because he needed a longer snake. He said the same thing on the second day and that I would have to schedule another person to come out that had a longer snaking machine with suction on it. Day 3 I called Rotor Rooter. Same day, in less than an hour, they gave me a diagnosis that included our sump or sewer pump in our basement. They said that Jess snaking machine was hitting up against the pump, which is why it wasn't going anywhere and why his cable kept getting tangled (Jess said the cable was getting tangled). The second day after Jess was here, our tub filled with water. He may or may not be the cause of a damaged pump. The tech from RR believes Jess made it worse, but I cannot substantiate that. Fortunately, I was not charged.

This is the second local plumber I have used and they are not worth it. Chain companies are expensive, but they come in, diagnose it, and get out.

I have heard a lot of great things about Collins and really wanted to use them. Had them out for an estimate.  After 1.5 weeks and repeated phone calls I have not received an estimate.  Recommend a different provider with better communication.

Update: received a call from Collins Plumbing and they were able to correct my email and send me the estimate. I will update you again after the install.

We called Collins in an emergency - lots of clogged plumbing that needed to be fixed quickly. Kim, who answered our call, said she'd see if a crew might be available to take a look that afternoon. She then called back almost immediately and said there was a crew in the area and they could come by in a half hour or so. They were there in less time than that and after taking a look, they fixed the problems on the spot! We were so pleased and relieved! They also gave us some estimate on other projects that we asked about, but no heavy sales pitch or pressure.
We are very pleased and would recommend Collins Plumbing whole-heartedly. We will definitely have them back!

I had Collins out to perform a standard sewer scope. There were limited companies to come out in that area, but it is usually a standard cost in Seattle of $250 across the board. I asked if they had a standard fee over the phone for a sewer scope to the scheduler which she said no, just the minimum hourly cost. After they performed the work they said they had a minimum of $325 (not including tax) which is well over the normal even in Seattle, which they were there for 35 minutes and . Being in real estate I have seen hundreds of sewer scopes and they tried to tell me a small root intrusion and offset needed major work involved. One of the 2 plumbers I think was possibly his first day on the job, offering advice he knew nothing about. They said they could then perform the work and scope it several times for a lower cost than what they had just charged for just a scope, so clearly one of their comments was an absolute lie and there was no minimum. They did locate the line correctly, but never provided the video of the sewer scope. I would avoid them if possible.
