Honest plumber. Awesome guy, we've used him a few times. He put in our new garbage disposal, fixed leaks under the kitchen sink, fixed toilets, and the bathtub faucet. His prices are MORE THAN FAIR, esp. considering we previously had Fred Smith plumbers in here who charged us a fortune and did a shitty job.

We just always use Colin now for all plumbing stuff, and I gave my neighbor his number as well. Would definitely recommend.

Would absolutely recommend Colin for your plumbing needs. He showed up the same day I called him, just a couple of hours later, to fix 3 separate minor plumbing problems we were having in our apartment related to our kitchen sink and washer/dryer. He was kind, polite, and explained everything clearly, which I appreciated. Because of the pandemic he also wore a mask (properly over his nose, I would add) and shoe covers. He worked quickly and had reasonable rates. Highly recommend!

I rarely leave reviews, yet I felt it important in this case so people get a balanced opinion. I hired Colin Lee for a plumbing job based solely on his 5 star reviews. I was extremely disappointed. I hired him to evaluate my kitchen drain as it was draining slowly. As reviews indicated, he is personable and wore shoe covers into my apartment, so I was already sold. He looked at my kitchen and bathroom sinks and snaked a small portion of the drain under my sink. When he did not clear the obstruction, he told me the blockage was well distant to my apartment (I live on the second floor of an old Brownstone). He said the problem was likely in the walls below my apartment or in the basement. As this was a job beyond his scope, he said I would need a larger plumbing company. He charged me $50 for his time and went on his way. I understood and initially thought this all seemed reasonable.

I then called a different plumber, who came the next day. I told the second plumber what Colin had said. The new plumber was certain it needed to be snaked and that Colin had not done an adequate job. The second plumber spent about an hour and thoroughly snaked my kitchen pipes. He cleared the obstruction and the water drains perfectly.

I then contacted Colin and let him know that my pipes just needed additional snaking and were now fine. I was hoping he would do the right thing and at least return my $50. Instead, he stuck to his original explanation. He said ""From my experience it seems like the issue I explained, and in my experience the issue generally returns in a week or 2 even if you think the clog is gone."" It has been two weeks and my sink drains beautifully.

I assume Colin is OK for very simple jobs.....although, by plumbing standards, my job was relatively simple. If you have any job that is remotely complicated, look elsewhere.

While there are undoubtedly many plumbers in the NY area who have the technical ability to do a job well, what's much harder to find is someone who can both do a job well and whose judgement can be fully trusted.

Colin Lee has consistently demonstrated both qualities throughout the many projects he's done for us over 3+ years, whether it comes to properly diagnosing a problem, providing accurate time/cost estimates, thoroughly executing a project, running all of the proper tests to verify completion, and his overall reliability.

We couldn't imagine using anyone other than Colin for our plumbing-related needs, and confidently recommend him to anyone who can benefit from his services.

Colin is breath of fresh air in a NYC landscape where expertise, trust, fairness and honesty are rarities. I've worked on half a dozen projects with Colin over the past 2 years ranging from installing a new kitchen sink faucet to installing a water filter, hooking up a new washer, snaking a clogged drain all the way to ordering new parts and fixing a non-flushing toilet. He's a good communicator, follows his word and is on time. He's also a straight shooter on pricing and is always willing to go the extra mile to do what's needed. Finally, Colin is an absolute gentleman, so I highly recommend him.

Lucky I managed to get hold of Colin when some plumbing issues popped up in my place on a Friday afternoon. He came right over and identified the problem, suggested a solution and gave a guide price on fixing it up. He really explained what was required and how the original problem developed which is unusual as I think plumbers/electricians like to keep things as vague as possible - not with Colin.

In terms of the work it was completed promptly and slightly under budget (another huge plus & surprise!).
