We had a leak under our kitchen sink and a loose faucet. We called another plumber first and he told us we needed a new faucet. He said he couldn't get under the sink to see what was wrong??? Our Moen faucet was only 2 years old so I didn't believe him and called another plumber. Colepepper came out, gave us a reasonable price, and fixed it in about 30 minutes. Jose did a great job, cleaned up the area afterwards and even put all my cleaning supplies back under the sink

I own a coin laundry business and had a leak that needed to be fixed. Called these guys around 3 pm and they did respond quickly. What shocked me was the price they quoted me. Needed to repair a 1 1/2 inch copper line. I am guessing 3 - 4 hours for the repair and materials of about $100 (I know because I ended up doing the repair myself) They quoted $3100. I can understand an up-charge since is was rush and would have went into the evening. That was, in my opinion, a bit excessive.

I can't comment on their work since I never got past the sticker shock.

Immediate service and did a good job! I'm not sure it was the cheapest price, but we needed a new water heater immediately! Miguel R. Did a good job and he was fast!

The repair was done for $839 $425 to remove toilet and put it back on. Home Depot has a company that will install a new toilet and dispose of the old one for $129, technically the same procedure being done. I was told by the plumber that the water line was flexible copper and it should be replaced for $414. Come to find out, it was a 21in piece of regular copper piping that he removed. After seeing the piece he removed, all that needed to be done was remove the 1 inch section with the screw hole. So for $839, the plumber removed the toilet, cut out a square section of drywall behind the toilet, replace a section of pipe (less than $10 worth of material, put the toilet back on. The fact that there was a pressure leak and it needed to be repaired, who would have the desire or time to call multiple plumbers for quotes. The bottom line is, the plumber recognized the situation, took advantage of it, charged $839 (originally$939, but I got him to waive the $100 assessment charge) for less than 3 hours of work.

I received a follow-up call from the company a couple of days later and explained the experience. The girl calling seemed like she understood my viewpoint about the ridiculous charge and was going to pass the info on to the manager. She said she would follow-up again. Basically, I never heard back from her.

Sorry, but I can't recommend Colepepper Plumbing.

I'm a property manager with a wonderful tenant and a very unfortunate, frustrating, mystery leak. I deal with a lot of different vendors - most of them terrific - but Cole Pepper has been one of my absolute worst experiences. I booked an appointment with this company a full week out, explaining to them in detail about this recurring leak we had and how frustrating it was for our tenant. I explained that our tenant would be taking yet another day off work for us to bring someone in to try to diagnose and resolve this leak and requested that we be the very 1st appointment of the day. I explained that it was hugely important that we be able to rely on them and asked for reassurance that if we were booking a full week out and reserved the 1st appointment slot of the day that we could count on them to show up on time so there would be sufficient time to fully investigate and repair the leak that morning. I was assured that would be the case. I was told that the appointment window would be from 8:00-10:00 but that it would ""most likely"" be right at 8:00 a.m. that someone would be there because we would be the 1st appointment of the day. When I checked in with my tenant at 8:30 this morning to find out if the plumber had arrived and gotten to work yet, I was surprised to learn that no one had come or called yet. I called Cole Pepper at 8:40 and was told that other emergency calls had come in the night before that had been prioritized ahead of ours and they would be dispatching a technician out to us around 9:00 a.m. They apologized for not showing up and not calling but told me, in great depth, how other people had to put ahead of us because they had much more urgent situations. Cecilia did say that we should have been called and offered to call my tenant directly. Cole Pepper then called my tenant directly and told him they would not be dispatching anyone until around 10:30 a.m. and that technician would likely not arrive until sometime around 11:00 a.m!! When my tenant explained to them that he had booked a doctor's appointment for that time, since he thought they were coming to him first thing that morning, they told him they would have to reschedule him. After my tenant contacted me, very upset, to tell me what had happened, I called Cole Pepper and told them how disappointed we were that they did not honor the appointment, even though they had promised we would be the very 1st appointment of the day and we had booked so far in advance to insure we could be accommodated. I received a call back from Jamie, who proceeded to tell me it was our tenant's fault for not making them aware ahead of time that he had booked another appointment for that day. This is where it gets really good! I then got a call from Mitch, the owner of the company, who said they had done nothing wrong - that we were, in fact, the 1st appointment of the day, but that they had a team meeting all morning they all just got out of and they would still technically be within their three hour window if they sent someone to arrive just before 11:00. So, not only were we lied to when we were told that about all of the ""much more urgent"" emergencies had supposedly been prioritized ahead of us and not only was our supposed 8:00 a.m. appointment time completely disregarded, with not even a courtesy call to tell us a team meeting had pre-empted us, but the owner was completely unapologetic about wasting 3 hours of my tenant's time and claimed he had listened to all of the ""recorded"" calls between his staff and myself - although it was clear that was a lie as well. So, if you value your time and prefer to deal with a vendor that doesn't come out the gate lying to you, I'd steer clear.

Mitch came on a short notice and changes 3 hose bibs for me. I thought the price was a little high, but at least it was done right & quick. I don't have to worry about it. One less thing off my honey do list.

I had Colepepper out to replace a garbage disposal in my condo and couldn't have been happier. They were professional, called ahead, and hit their arrival window. They had to leave as they could not get a hold of the property owner but made it back the same day by noon to complete the service. Great company and would definitely recommend!

I've used Colepepper Plumbing three times in the last 6 months, and I've been very satisfied with their work. They show up in their appointment window, assess the problem, and give you a three-tier option of basic repair, above average repair, or VIP repair and you choose what service meets your needs and budget. They've been very friendly and communicative, and most importantly, good at what they do. After using them twice to fix plumbing emergencies, I had them install a carbon filter in our main line to improve the quality of our tap water, and , ultimately, to save our appliances and faucets from the crappy San Diego water. You can trust Colepepper Plumbing.

Talked with Mitch, and he was gracious enough to send another repairman out to service our dishwasher at no charge. Josh was professional, knowledgeable and tidy! We would definitely use Colepepper again.

My wife was charged $643.00 for about $40 in parts and less than 2 hours of labor. I wasn't available to keep her from being taken advantage of. We could have had a brand new toilet installed for way less. When I called the company the woman on their end immediately acted condescending and offered no consideration for my case. She acted as if $300 an hour was fair for very minor labor. Also the work that she was told it would take was way over exaggerated and thus she gave the go ahead. The BBB will be contacted and hopefully others will not be taken advantage of.
