I previously wrote a post on June 7 that details the original issue I had with this company. If you would like to understand the entire saga of my history with this company, please feel free to go back to read that post. To summarize, Cole's charged me $5,100 for a repair job to the main line from meter box to front of house which took four guys 5 hours to complete. Do the math--that's $1,000 per hour! I posted my dissatisfaction on Yelp, and within two days the manager of the company (Roscoe) called me to see if he could resolve the problem. Here is how this company ""resolved"" the problem:
I asked for a partial refund for a job that I discovered other companies would have done for half the price they charged me.
I asked Roscoe why they would charge so much, and he tried to explain the workers' hourly wages, the material costs, and the cost of using a machine called the mole.
I told him the mole was never used; he asked for a moment while he looked over the work order--something no one had done until then, I guess! He said I was charged for using the mole, which was a mistake. He promised to reimburse me for that error.
Next, he asked me what they could do for me to improve their rating on Yelp. I told him I wanted a $2,000 refund (which made the cost $3,150--still higher than any other company I contacted about this work). He told me he would send a representative to my home with a check and a form stating I would no longer post on Yelp about the company. He further stated that I must give them a five-star rating in order to receive the money. I agreed to do as he asked. He told me they would contact me the following week and set up a time to bring a check and have me sign the Yelp contract. I felt a verbal agreement was all I needed, so I believed the issue was resolved.
I waited for his phone call the following week. Nothing. Finally, on Thursday, I decided to call Roscoe. I was told he was ""out in the field"" and not available, but to leave a number and he would get back to me. I waited and no call. I called back Friday morning, and once again, he was ""out in the field."" I left my information once again but no response.
I called Sunday morning, and once again, he was ""unavailable."" I told the person on the phone that I tried to work this out with them, but if the manager refused to speak to me or follow through with his promise, I would like to leave him a personal message or email. The secretary told me they did not have a phone number or an email for Roscoe, the company manager!
What kind of customer service is that? I was overcharged, I was promised a refund for services not performed, and then I was avoided. I was fed up and told the secretary I would give Roscoe until Tuesday evening to contact me; otherwise, I would post all of this on Yelp.
As you can see, he never got back to me. I am not in the habit of trashing a company's reputation, but what happened here is completely unethical. We are not talking about $50 here; this is a $2,000 mistake! I am fairly certain the company will not live up to our agreement, so why post this? I don't want anyone else to go through what I have, and I want to make others aware of the dishonest business practices of this company and its manager.
I decided to do some research on Cole's with other customer review sites, and what I found out was eye opening, to say the least. I have provided a link to the Yellow Pages review of Cole's in which they are placed at 55 out of 57 companies. Hard to believe that two companies finished behind them. Here's the link if you would like to read about their poor practices in more detail:

So, to conclude this diatribe, if you have a water leak in your home, I suggest you try and plug it with lots of cash because if you call Cole's; it will all end up down the drain anyway.

Enrique was the tech. who came out to service my a/c unit, suppose to clean & check for leaks, he told me their was no leaks BUT, i was 3lbs low??? how can that be? @ $170.00 plus a lb....what a scam!! there was debre in the out side unit, & the evaporator unit wasn't touched, I called several times to complain with no return call from the manager....I wouldn't recommend this company.

Originally I was not satisfied with my technician that came out. I believe he needs more training. I may have just been the unlucky customer that day but Cole Services did what they could to right the wrong and for that I am thankful. Thank you Rosco for calling me and doing what you could to correct the problem. I appreciate the customer service this company offers. I also appreciate the same day service. That was a huge + for me. Trust me, if you are unhappy for any reason call customer service and they will do what they can to right it. Although I ended up replacing my unit, at least they did what they could to help a dissatisfied customer.

I had my entire air and heating system replaced by Coles as well as many other services. Lately their customer service has not been very good. I have now scheduled two service calls for warranty work and both times the scheduler indicated that the technician wouldn't be able to make it that day. I have had to change my plans entirely because they inconvenienced me. The first call the guy didn't show up until four hours later. This is unacceptable service. Maybe it is time to look around for another plumbing company.

I had a clocked drain. It become suddenly a big $800 project . At the end the pipes are opened. the company promised me to inspect the pipes on the next day with a camera to see what happened. They did not show up ever after they get the check.

Our kitchen sink started leaking-of course- on a Sat. Lovely.
We had used Cole once before for a clogged drain and hubs liked them, so we called and they came out same day.
Jim was our technician. He was excellent. The valve that was leaking had to be replaced and it was a beast to get to. Jim worked his butt off and got the job done and was such a nice guy.
We will definitely use Cole again. Not only was the job done right, but the price was extremely reasonable, especially for a Sat and taking so long.
Thank you Jim and Cole!!!

This company deserves no stars. I suggest you not use this company for any kind of service they provide. I had a Tankless Water Heater installed and they have been giving me the run around on the final install which is required by a city inspector. They are lazy good for nothing. Lowe's home improvement should be ashamed for contracting this horrible company. I suggest for everyone reading this post that you look elsewhere for quality work.

YOU MUST READ THIS BEFORE HIRING COLE SERVICES FOR ANY SERVICE:
In more than twenty years of home ownership and a variety of plumbing needs and companies around the country I have never dealt with a more unethical company - from avoidance of phone calls, to out right lying about what they will do and when, this company is the worst - DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH COLE SERVICES. DO NOT LET THEM INTO YOUR HOME. In summary: they were supposed to fix a plumbing problem by replacing the 'main' from our home to the city water/sewer - not an inexpensive job, $3000, with a warranty that included 'power flushing' as needed, etc. Less than 6 months later, we are having the same back-up problems so I call Cole. They send a new technician (because surprise the old technician doesn't work there anymore) and sales guy to our home. After hours of discussion, Roscoe and Leo apologize for the incompetence of the former sales guy/ technician and explain we basically need to replumb the entire house! from new main lines to 40+ feet of new line out to the city...all for the bargain price of $28,000 - yes that's not a misprint. We live in an old home so after reviewing the work order and calling around we decided to go for it. Oh and Cole was so nice to credit the original $3000 we paid towards the new work order..since they screwed up in the first place. oh, and its important to mention they sold us on this convenient payment method with Wells Fargo, no interest for a year, etc... - stay tuned because this is another mistake you should not make!
After a series of bad experiences with this company - workers not showing up when they were supposed to (yes, sometimes an hour or two makes a difference if you work for a living!), Roscoe and Leo promising to come and review concerns or call and NEVER doing so..the job appeared to be done. Part of this included them destroying our kitchen floor to fix a problem under the house - the contract includes them fixing the floor and restoring it to the original condition before they started - seems reasonable since we were paying more than most people pay for an automobile and they caused the damage. After weeks of trying to work with a subcontractor they hired to fix the flooring, they conceded they could not locate the exact flooring and couldn't do the job - 4 months after the plumbing was complete and we were living with a 56 square foot hole in the middle of our kitchen that had been patched with basically plywood. In the meantime I get a bill for the job with payment expected from Wells Fargo - Cole Services charged the complete amount to the account they set up WITHOUT COMPLETING THE JOB! Does this sound a bit like collusion??
Now - 6 months after the job was supposed to be completed and we were billed for the job, we had our own flooring company complete the flooring - new flooring in the downstairs since the flooring couldn't be located to match. After legal threats and contact with the Better Business Bureau we were paid for the floor repair by Cole Services insurance company! I have never dealt with a more unprofessional company, the quality of the work was horrible and now we paid for a warranty on this $28000 job that we can never use because we can't trust them!

Great customer service. Jeff Larson was very knowledgeable and explained everything very well. He took his time to do the job right. I would highly recommend Cole Services for your plumbing and heating needs.

Lied to me! Told me my compressor and fan along with my AC Coil went bad due to a bad filter! Told me their manager would come out to verify the findings. Told me it would cost more to fix then it would to replace. Charged me $85 for the service call. Wanted $9,000 to replace. I made a call to another plumber who recommended a repair man. Within 1 hr of the repair man showing us and a new capacitor installed my AC is working! Cole doesn't understand some people trust but verify before handing over $9,000! RIP OFF!! DON""T EVER HIRE THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
