Recommended Customer Reviews

Highly recommended. Had a line leak at the water service entry of our property. Crew arrived slightly later than estimated, but they kept me updated on their arrival time via text. Great service from Billy & Alex--courteous, competent, personable and professional. Diagnosed the problem as a failed pressure regulator near the house side of the meter. Gave me a firm upfront quote and got the job done very quickly at a reasonable price. Cleaned up the work area before leaving. Second time using Cold Is on the Right. Will definitely use again.

Outstanding service at a reasonable price. They also offer Military discount to vets. I've done alot of business with this company and have had No problems at all. I highly recommend this plumbing company to anyone that wants things done right the first time.

Been using these folks for years. They just put in a tankless heater and replaced faucets and cutoffs in a bathroom. Couldn't be happier with the resutls or the people who did the work. Bren, Mike, Jeff and Austin are all first class. Friendly and fun and willing to chat about what they did and how they did it. Best service experience you can hope for.

could not be a better quality company to install your water heater. called at 10:30 and by 2;30 it was installed. it was a fair price with the code upgrades. Bren and mike were top notch.

Highly recommend!! Very professional and gave me options on the repair of a toilet water supply valve. Excellent execution of the fix.

I am writing this review to express my heartfelt thanks to Preston and George from Cold is on the Right Plumbing!!!:):):) I needed help trying to replace an ancient fixture on my shower faucet. I made an appointment, and prior to their Saturday arrival, my hot water stopped working. When they arrived I asked them if they could take a look to see what might be wrong. They checked everything, and discovered something horrifying!!! My old hot water heater was having electrical issues, and was smoking really badly in the adjacent wall!!! They started figuring out all of the logistics to replace the hot water heater. When I gave my approval for the replacement, they stayed for 5-6 hours to install the new water heater and get it all working properly. I believe Preston and George saved my life that day, and I would like to thank them with all of my heart!!!:):):) To top it off, Preston was able to find my ancient faucet part. Preston and George came back the following week to install it, and now my faucet is working perfectly!!!:):):)

Do yourself a favor and just go with Cold is on the Right. The first time I worked with them was when I found a leak in my water heater. I called and they were able to come out within a few hours. I was given an arrival window and received a text when they were 45 minutes away. They showed up, put together a detailed quote (received and paid electronically), and efficiently made the repair. These are real pros, and the fact that they work quickly is a testament to their skill and experience.
They're also just good, friendly people. Bren and Mike were consummate professionals while also enjoying their work and keeping some good banter going the whole time. They noticed I was curious about what they were doing and went out of their way to explain, didn't mind me hanging around and asking questions, and even called me over to their truck (which was ridiculously clean; another reflection of their super high standards) to show me one of their cool tools.
Another strong quality is their proactivity without pushiness. They saw my water heater was nearing the end of its service life and put together a quote for replacement with a range of options. I also asked a question off-hand about our high water pressure, they quickly grabbed a gauge to check it, and seeing it was very high at 100psi went to check my PRV. This is when an already superlative job went above and beyond, as seeing there was just dirt where the valve should be, they grabbed a shovel and started digging. And digging. It would have been completely reasonable for them to stop after the first foot and schedule a time to come back (it was also their last job at the end of the day on Monday, the only thing between them going home, and already done with what they had been scheduled and paid for) but these guys are incapable of cutting corners or leaving something unfinished. So after what must've been 30 minutes, the three of us sitting next to a comically large pile of dirt (that was put back without a trace) and about to breach the earth's mantle, they found my water line. No PRV or shutoff valve to be found. So they wrote up a quote to install both, and of course I hired them again for that.
Eight months later, everything is holding up and working perfectly. If all you care about is quality of work, you won't find better plumbers. But there are a few other good reasons to hire them as well.
(This is a long overdue review that I noticed was sitting in my drafts -- sorry dudes!)

We've used them for several plumbing issues, most recently a hot water heater removal and replacement. It was fast and easy, and we love the new water heater.

Wow. Fast, communicative and honest, this is as good as plumbers get!
I contacted Cold is on the Right late Friday afternoon about a water leak, they were speedy and had a crew at my house early Monday morning. They arrived early, got the job done 30 mins faster than they quoted, and even found an irrigation shut off valve that had been buried in my yard I was unaware of!
Contrast that to the two other local plumbers I contacted who wouldn't even answer the phone!

I messed around and had one of the other guys come out to the house. I'm left with $1000's of damage I now have to fix. Never again! I can't say enough about the professionalism and competence of Cold is on the Right Plumbers. They came to my home, conducted a thorough assessment of what needed to be done, and explained it all to me -- straightforward in a way that made sense. I believe they are an honest company that stands behind their work (not a company that preys on people when disaster strikes). The plumbing service industry in Austin is full of snake oil salesmen and inexperienced technicians that can cost the average homeowner $1000's more than is needed per job. If you want to take your chances on one of them other guys -- be my guest -- you will NOT get what you paid for -- you will get headaches and that feeling in your gut when you get ripped off. Thank You, Cold is on the Right -- Thank You for being the reputable company that you are -- and providing an essential service the people of Austin need.
