So I ordered oil yesterday and was told if I paid cash the price was 2.59 a gallon and if I paid by card it would be a dime more so I ordered a 100 gallons because I wasnt sure if my tank would hold it. I specifically told the girl that and at no time did she tell me if it didnt take the whole 100 gallons I would be charged 3.50 a gallon. This should not happen. How many people actually look at their receipts. I recommend if you buy from this place ask them for any little secrets they may have before making you decision. 3.50 a gallon is rediculous and a stretch from 2.69... Shop around people and pay attention

Then after I refused to get propane delivered tomorrow sttod at my front door begging me for service I told him no ... Any company that allows a service to use the f word to there customers it in professional .... This guy Tom was off the wall crazy ..... Harris propane out of Salem nj is the best customer service ..... And honest !!!!

So. I try really, really hard to be positive and, as a business owner myself, on the rare occasion I have any issues with a company, I like to work them out quietly. In this instance, however, I am going to say this because I have never been treated so poorly by ANY company, EVER. Unfortunately, I have had nothing but poor experiences in the 6-8 months we have been with them (as they bought out our old oil company). Yesterday morning I had to call them because - after being ASSURED in June that we we on automatic delivery - we ran out of oil for the 2nd time since June. When we called, we were informed that we were NOT, in fact, on auto-delivery as we were previously assured we were. Also, they weren't able to deliver yesterday (understandable, it was a Sunday), so we set up for delivery the next morning. FF to the next morning: Since my faith in them wasn't so high, I called to confirm delivery was actually set up. Since the tank was empty, I also asked about what the fee would be if the tank needed priming. Since (IMO) they had dropped the ball on the auto delivery, I requested they match a competitor's rate for priming - if it was needed. I was asked to hold and a few minutes later, ""Tom"" picked up. I asked was this Tom Cochran and was told ""This is Tom"". Again, I asked, ""Tom Cochran?"" He said, ""Is this Ms. TVT?"" I affirmed and, suddenly, ""Tom"" couldn't hear me, ""Ms. TVT? Hello? Hello?"" and click. He hung up. I called back, got ""Tom"" and had about a 5 minute conversation covering everything I called for originally, including trying to negotiate the priming fee (FYI, he refused). At the end of our conversation, although I certainly didn't feel like a valued customer, I still opted to keep the oil delivery set up and would pay the (more than double) priming fee. I told Tom I wanted to be sure the CC on file was correct and he asked me to hold. Well.... he didn't put me on hold, instead I was accidentally put on speaker phone, where I was privy to the ""office talk"" about me - where a female voice asked, ""She's a c**ks*cker, huh?"", to which Tom responded, ""I don't know. Maybe she is."" Mortified doesn't even begin to describe how I felt. At that point, I said, ""Excuse me, but I can hear EVERYTHING you're saying."" Response? THEY HUNG UP ON ME!! So, yes, I did call back and female voice (Michele - with 1 L, as she told me), informed me that they weren't talking about me, they were discussing another employee who just left...... OK, Michele with one L. EVEN IF that was true, a company owner is talking about either another employee OR a customer like that!!

I used this company once before to fill up oil and they were not very pleasant. They did not provide much information as I am a new homeowner and the driver seemed like it was a nuisance to be there. Even after this bad experience I decided to use them again for lack of a cheaper price around town.

The second time was even worse. The dispatcher was very discourteous and only gave me a 5 minute heads up for when the driver would be at my house. I originally asked for 15 minutes because I come from work so it takes me about 10 minutes. I get another call 5 minutes after the first call saying, in an angry tone, ""the driver is not going wait there much longer...he will leave if you're not there soon."" I told her I'd be 5 more minutes tops, but when I got to my house the truck/driver was nowhere in sight.

I understand time constraints, but come on you can't wait 10 minutes at a house? Especially, if someone is paying cash in full and has used the company before. It makes no sense and I will never be using this company again. Nor will I recommend it to anyone.
