I had a bad zone relay box for my heating system that had gone bad. It was ticking constantly and driving me crazy. I called electricians, plumbers and HAVC people all of whom told me to call someone else. Finally out of desperation I called coastal supply. To my delight they were more than happy to help. They supplied me with the name of person who quickly solved my problem at a fair price. When we called to thank them they were delighted that it worked out.
This is the type of company that knows how to build a business. I would go out of my way to use them in the future.

Zero stars. This place is the worst. We purchased an air conditioner compressor, The unit was put in by a licensed professional and it did not work, The unit was defective it was leaking as soon as it was put in. Coastal was called and they would not take the item back they said we had to call the manufacturer. They did not try to help us, they did not care about customer satisfaction. They told us even if it wasn't defective it would be a 25% restocking fee. The manufacturer told us it would take 10 days for the new part to arrive at which point we need to put in warranty. We spent thousands of dollars at Coastal for this unit, they did not help, they did not care. It is a heat wave, the house is sweltering. Do not use Coastal Supply, this has been one big nightmare because of them.

This place is horrible, the prices are way over what they should be, the help at the counter is terrible, by far the rudest people I have ever delt with at any supply house....the only thing they have going for them is there the only game in town ....I will make a trip to Brooklyn for now on for parts and equipment...

Awful. This place needs more sales help. People that come in expect personalized attention and take up all the salesperson's time and they let them. They leave others just standing there. The salesman looked like he didn't even want to get out from his desk. A contractor will come in and they jump on him and ignore a regular customer. Waited forever for help and the salesperson seemed like they couldn't be bothered.

I recently went in to purchase an ignitor for a furnace which I purchased from Coastal. They wanted to charge me $66 for an ignitor which routinely costs around $20. I purchased the same ignitor from this store a year ago for $20. When I questioned the 3x increase in price, suddenly the price went back down to $20. So, if I didn't question the inflated price, they would have gladly overcharged me by nearly 230%. This is not an honest way to run a business. You can purchase these ignitors online for $20. Why would they try to charge 3x that amount? I think the answer is evident.
