Thank you to Coastal Plumbing for providing excellent service.
Very reliable and professional. Will definitely be calling them again for all of our plumbing needs and will recommend them to all of our family and friends.

I recently contracted Coastal to fix 2 Toto toilets -- one water running; the other low water in toilet bowl. Found Coastal representative to be very unprofessional and unknowledgeable. When family in area, they repaired another running Toto toilet in about 20 minutes. Coastal did not bring proper replacement parts and charged me 1-1/2 hours which included leaving to get proper parts. Additionally, Robert's appearance was not that of belonging to a ""family owned"" company. I would never hire or recommend Coastal for any future repairs.

I own a condo and my neighbor's garbage disposal broke, leaking from the bottom, and it was a good couple of weeks before they realized it. By that time, the shared wall between us had been soaked by waste water, the lower cabinets were molding, and we were in dire need of some repairs. Our neighbors, being renters, put us in touch with the owner, who basically tried to pawn off responsibility on everyone else, out of fear of telling his insurance holder that the hadn't done any maintenance work since he bought the place.
It was that attitude that turned me towards our HOA and Coastal Plumbing. The latter is always at our complex, fixing some problem or another and the HOA brought them in to verify that the issue was between owners and not caused by any faulty pipes or leaking within the walls. I got a prompt call back from, a claim that they had done a thorough inspection next door, and they concluded that there was no leak within the shared wall and that all damage had been caused by waste water from the neighbor's garbage disposal.
They were quick to get back to me, their explanation fit the narrative I had put forth, it was reassuring and professional.
After that, I called a cleanup service and they got to work. With a three year old to think about and essentially sewage seeping through the wall, we grabbed a hotel for the week, giving the crew time to do their thing. But, after a few days of demolition, I got the call that nothing was drying like it should, there was a leak somewhere. Giving Coastal Plumbing another call, they came in on the weekend during overtime hours and let everyone know that there was, in fact, a leak within the wall.
So, we have a failure to diagnose the original problem, but they were taking responsibility and told the HOA that it was no longer an issue between neighbors. Unfortunately, they also stated that they wouldn't go in and fix the leak until the mold was completely taken care of. The company doing cleanup, hearing this, went into overdrive to get the wall completely removed, all of the mold sanitized, and the water completely dried up. This was done over three days, and they had an inspection service come and certify that the mold was gone and it was safe for the plumbers to come back.
They didn't ... for five days. Even though they knew of our issue and were waiting for the cleanup to be completed, even though they knew we were spending about $200 a night on hotels waiting for the repairs to be completed, even though they had come out before on a weekend, they didn't come back until the next Tuesday.
Asking on the phone about the timetable, the cleanup crew confirmed that they left a message with the plumber, and the plumber did get back to me on Saturday, but the person that called stated they had no clue what was going on because they didn't have their notes. Then, two days with nothing, which basically meant that whoever called didn't care enough actually try and get those 'notes' and help or alleviate any of my concerns (more important to go back to their weekend because they have a comfortable home to sleep in, I guess).
And finally, when they did get around to helping us, it took them about 15-20 minutes to finish. Why someone couldn't have done this on Thursday or Friday, saving time and money, I have no clue. Hell, I would have happily paid some of that money I had to give to a hotel to the plumbers just to come out ... but, no one cared. And to top it off, my wife caught the plumber as they were about to leave, finishing up with the paperwork, and she said the guy seemed put off having to answer her questions. When asking if they had contacted anyone now that the repair was finished, all she got was, ""that's not my problem / job!""
I wanted to ask the guy, if they were in the same position, forced out of their house, stuck in a cramped hotel room, eating out every night on a budget, desperately trying to get home, if they had wished someone would actually give a shit and help or if they wanted someone to be an asshole like they had been instead.
To sum up this rambling rant, Coastal Plumbing failed to originally identify a problem they were brought in to locate, they wasted my time and money by not finding the leak earlier as well as not coming in to actually repair the leak in good/reasonable time, and the people don't feel like they care about a problem that they are being paid to, at the very least, pretend to care about. To cap it all off, both the cleanup crew and the guys replacing the drywall thought that the plumbing job was cheap and a simple patch as opposed to properly replacing the whole pipe. I have no knowledge of plumbing of my own, but other experts were shocked by both the effort and the extended length of time they took.
Whether this is all on them or if the HOA was slowing things down is up for debate. All I know is that this has been a miserable three weeks and Coastal Plumbing was a massive part of that.

Although the work that was done was good and efficient, I was not aware I would be charged for 2 plumbers, if 1 of them couldnt find the leak. Also, I was not told there was a 1 hour minimum charge for services. The first time I used the company I called the owner , and he did give me a refund for this overcharge.
The second time I used them, since the cost per hour is quite high, I clocked to the exact time the plumber walked in the door to when he was finished. He tried to charge me for 15 extra minutes he wasnt here, and for 15 minutes to write the bill up. I made it clear that he had arrived 15 minutes then the bill said and he did take off that portion. I really dont think it takes 15 minutes to write up a bill for 2 things. So, use at your own risk.

Tom was at my door 1 hour after I called for pluming service. He was polite, professional, courteous and attacked a laundry list of plumbing problems with a sense of urgency. I couldn't be more impressed with Tom or happier with the results, including a very reasonable price. Tom took the most difficult item first, which was a complete overhaul of a single-unit bath/shower controller including hot and cold water which had been switched for years. He replaced a valve on copper tubing behind the dishwasher and then he found that the air gap tubing was crushed and replaced it. That stopped the dishwasher from discharging into the sink. He snaked three mostly clogged drains. Our water pressure was low and he found and removed a water flow restrictor, which the previous owner had installed. The stronger water pressure makes the dishwasher clean better and the water pressure in the sink is great. He saved us a lot of money by not having to replace a food disposer and the shower controller. The next time I call Coastal Plumbing I will request Tom for the job.

We had a bathroom leak happen at 5 pm on a holiday weekend. They sent out a nice, helpful, and polite young man within 30 minutes who fixed it quickly at a fair price. I will definitely be using them again!!!!

Fast service, friendly, accurate, reasonable. What else can you ask for from a plumber? Highly recommended.

It is so hard to be a new homeowner and find contractors and residential service companies you can feel comfortable with and trust; this is it! My wife and I have used their services at least 5 times now and they have been on spot every time and affordable. That one is important for old retirees like us. They are also polite, friendly, prompt and do great work. Thank you Coastal Plumbing Inc.! I highly recommend you and will use your service again when needed.

These guys came out and did several jobs on my personal residence. They did good work, were polite and professional, and worked around my family and I while completing their work. I would have them work on my home again.

My HOA association insists on using this company due to a relationship that one of the board of directors has with them. I have seen them on the property many time and they can not seem to correct the hot water situation from the boilers to the 184 units consistently. Either the water is cold or scalding hot. This week we have hot water coming from both sides of the faucets as well as in the ice maker and water dispenser in the refrigerator. The property manager indicated that the plumber on site stated that someone had crossed the cold water lines with the hot water lines and this was affecting all units. They want to come in to each unit to see if the lines to the faucets are crossed (hot to cold and back). Anderson Plumbing has indicated many times that this is an issue with the regulator valves at the source, the boilers. I would not recommend this company to anyone who needs a plumber. Try Anderson or Bill Howell or even Rotor Rooter. Anyone would be better.
