The first company I called attempted to root my main sewer line, but said it was too bad to be rooted and needed to be hydrojeted at a cost of almost $1,000. I sent them away and called Coast. They showed up when promissed, used a much larger rooting unit and had no issues clearing the blockage. Took them less than an hour and completed for the fee quoted over the phone.

The technician was polite, professional and very knowledgeable.

Coast definitely stepped up and went beyond what I expected. Have a 1 year old GE water heater and am already replacing parts. Chris from coast arrived despite rain and cold wind and got our water heater back on line. He is a keeper Coast,dont lose this guy. Thanks for intervening between myself and GE customer service. They just dont care about their customers like Coast does.

I called Coast Plumbing at 7:30am and asked for their soonest appointment explaining I had a medical procedure for the following day that I really needed my toilet to work today. All toilets, tubs, and showers were clogged. I told them I had the toilet already pulled off in the front bathroom and needed a 100 foot snake to clear the clog. They said they could do that for $75. and would be here between 1:00pm and 5:00pm. They did not show up until 5:45pm and the guy said he could not bring the machine in the house and the smaller one he had would not work to clear the drain and he could not do a roof top clearing either. i do not have a front yard clean out. I don;'t understand if I had explain this to the company in the morning when I first called why did they say they could do the job. Now I waited all day for a plumber that couldn't even do the job and because it was now past regular business hours I had to pay another plumber night time rates to come out and clear the drain. I would never use Coast Plumbing again and would not recommend this company to anyone.

My sink developed a leak on a Saturday afternoon and I could not stop the leak short of turning off all water to the house. I called three plumbers and left messages, but no response. I looked in the yellow pages and when I called Coast I talked to a live person and was told that a plumber would be at my house in 3 hours. Good enough, I thought. Surprisingly Eric arrived in one hour and made the necessary repairs.
I was very favorably impressed by his efficiency and neatness. Even though it was Saturday the charge was reasonable.
Just out of curiosity, after he was gone I went to Yelp to learn what others had said. I was totally surprised to read the negative reviews. It was as if they were writing about another company, not the one that responded to my emergency.
I will not hesitate to call Eric and Coast plumbing if I need them again.

We have used Coast several times in the last year and can only say good things about Coast. I think their prices are far, their plumbers very knowledgeable & clean. I was reading some of the bad reviews before I posted this review. I do not believe them or would have to say these customers are very difficult people to deal with. We have has too many dealings with Coast to over the years to believe those reviews

CALL ANYONE ELSE!!! If I could give this place a zero star rating I would! Long story short Coast came for a leak under the kitchen sink. The tech Chris was pissed off before he even came upstairs to look at the leak. He was suppose to call and give us a 30 min. warning that he was coming ( according to what receptionist Lucy said) and he didn't ,so he had to wait a whole 5 minutes! He came up stairs to my unit,and looked under the sink and said,"" it was a 10 minute fix."" He said he would need to shut off the water in our building in order to fix it. He ALSO said, that the damage done to the neighbors unit below us was REALLY BAD...""it would need a restoration company to remove wet drywall ,fans etc...AND it was going to be very expensive!"" I proceeded to go downstairs to talk with the neighbor about the damage. She told me it was nothing,just a little trickle and she put a trash can under it to catch the water. Chris was dishonest and wanted to take advantage of my landlord...sending out his buddies restoration company ...hoping for a payoff. This company either needs a new employee...ones that are pleasant, happy about their job,and not SCAMMERS!!! BTW he was here for under 40 minutes...the part was a small valve(cheap) that he unscrewed and put on the new one took 10 minutes, the rest of the time he talked to the4 neighbors saying he was turning off the water in the building.AND by the way while he was working on the leak he was on his cell phone bitching to his buddy about how what he was doing sucked....The cost was $196.00!!!! WOw $196.00 sucks??? I wrote the check for my landlord who is retired...I hope he takes him to small claims ...HE IS A ROBBER! I plan to bring this up at the next HOA MTG

My experience to this company is that they are such ""jerks"". I had a gas leak last week. The Gas Company came by and shut off the gas already. My wife called the Company. The guy from CPH&A came in, replaced the $5 valve in 3 minutes, went back his truck, and came back with a $200 invoice to charge me. He said he already told my wife the price, which he never did. I was very mad about this. He was very rude that he even point to his truck and said ""I am a professional and I deserve this kind of money in 3 minutes... What do you think I drove this car to your house?....""
I paid the price and found out he did not talk to my wife the price. I suggest anyone wants to find a good plumber. ""Don't try this Company!!!""

I own a 4-plex in Huntington Beach and I've gone through a lot of plumbers before finding Coast. I've had pretty good experience with them and I use plumbers a LOT. Reading so many negative reviews makes me think some of these people have them confused with other companies with similar business names because I haven't had those experiences. The only issue I've had is their plumbers will not make a repair without authorization (which is a good thing), but if they can't reach me by phone to approve the repair, then they will leave and have to come out again- and this is really annoying. But their quality of work is always very good and I've never had to have them re-do anything. They are also pretty responsive to calls and can usually get out to my building within a few hours.

Same day a kitchen drain plug happened someone came out. The previous plumber could only get the line 15' down, which was only a temp fix. This guy ran it almost to the curb. Best of all he told me a bacteria treatment that would minimize clogs going forward. This will take $75 out of their pocket on the next clog, but down the road, I will use them on my next project.
