Horrible experience and Very unprofessional. Called Steve to fix the leaking backflow valve. Probably he doesn't know how to fix it but saw it as a good opportunity to extract money from me because the water flow was stopped to the house and couldn't be turned back on without fixing the leak in backflow valve. First he gave me estimate for $200 to repair and replace necessary parts. I ok'd it once he dug and dismantled the backflow he start asking for more money. As I don't have any choice other than to agree he said he doesn't have necessary parts and will fix it temporarily first so that water can be turned on and will come back tomorrow to do the repair properly. Took half the money for work. Came back next day did something more and took another half from my wife ( I was not there to check if he did it properly) Guess what work was done very unprofessionally doesn't know how to fix pipes. The soldiering starting to leak called him back again start asking for more money now. Don't ever think of hiring this unprofessional and unskilled guy. Don't know if there is a way to take these kind of folks out from work so that they don't rip off others like me.

Had a horrible experience. We had a couple things we wanted done in our bathroom and Steve was one of the guys recommended by Home Depot. I called him and he wasn't the nicest to me, said he would come by my house the next day sometime in the afternoon and that he would call when he was driving there. The next day came and it got to be after 6 pm and no calls yet. My husband called him to ask if he was still coming, who by the way took the day off for this appt with Steve. He answered and was driving in Roseville, no where near my house and didn't even recall the conversation we had had the day previously, he didn't even remember where we lived, my name or that he had made an appt. He had attitude with my husband and didn't care to make an effort to work on or come by my home. I was disappointed and would not recommend him if you are looking for a professional who is going to do a good honest job.

I called Steve Dresner, of CNS Plumbing in Roseville, to fix an ailing 10 year old Takagi tankless water heater, belonging to a close friend of mine, who was 92 years old at the time. The water heater had begun heating intermittently.
A previous plumber, McDonald Plumbing, had charged $600 to flush the system, which had no effect on the problem. Another company, Ace Plumbing, came out and quoted $1100 to do some plumbing magic that ""might"" fix the problem or $4000 to buy and install a new tankless heater. I should note that a new model of the existing Takagi heater with the same capacity can be purchased for $700 from Amazon.com, plus labor of course. I spoke to the Takagi support department, and they thought both of these two companies were way out of line on their charges. I do not recommend either of these two companies.
Steve, of CNS Plumbing, arrived at my friend's house early, and was waiting for me. I was surprised, considering he came from Roseville to the Land Park area of Sacramento.
I described the problem and showed him to the tankless heater. After seeing the installation, and within one minute, Steve said he knew absolutely what the problem was, from his past experiences. During the original installation, the installer had reduced the incoming gas flex line from 3/4 inch to 1/2 inch. Steve quickly replaced 1/2 inch flex tube, both end fittings and the shutoff valve with new 3/4 inch products. The problem has not returned.
I obtained CNS Plumbing's telephone number from the Takagi website, which listed plumbers that had gone through Takagi's training classes on the tankless water heaters. Apparently the training paid off!
I have never written a Yelp review, but I was so satisfied with the work done by Steve, I felt it was needed. He charged $260, which was Steves original telephone guestimate. I am looking forward to using CNS Plumbing in the future.

I hired this company to install a tankless water heater. In addition to the water heater, he talked me into a device that, when installed, would continuiously heat the water to the affected faucet once engaged. (Unlike a tank hearter, tankless units do not keep water heated from the unit to the faucet.)
While installing the device, the worker broke the connecting fitting on the kitchen faucet, rendering the faucet useless. The owner of the company first refused to warrant the work stating he would not be held responsible for a faucet that was made in Italy. When I refused to pay him the balance due for the work, he angerly yelled at me and walked out the door with the kitchen faucet in hand.
Unknown to me, he sent the faucet to the distributor in Chicago for repair. After approximately 10 days had passed, I was jsut about ready to purchase the same faucet on-line and deduct the cost from the balance due when he called and said he had had the faucet repaired and wanted to set an appointment to install it.
Once he arrived and installed the faucet, I wrote him a check for the balance due and handed to him. He looked surprised and said, ""Thank you. I thought you were made at me."" I stated that I wasn't mad, to which he replied, ""Well you will be tomorrow."" The following day, we received a Certified letter from him where he threatened me with legal action if I didn't pay him for services rendered.
Apparently, this man didn't get the fact that I never pay a contrator in full until the job has been completed. About a week later, he called again and stated that he wanted to come over and switch the faucet device he previously installed over to another faucet since it wasn't working as it should. He came by, changed to device to another faucet, and left.
In summary, his workmanship was superb. On the down side, the demand for payment in full in writing before the work was completed was totally uncalled for. Would I use him again? Actually yes, solely on the fact that the workmanship was outstanding. I think he realizes the error of his ways.
