Called them on Monday to schedule furnace cleaning- told they would call back to schedule.
By Thursday afternoon- no callback: called them to check. Female (with attitude) responds 'how about tmoro afternoon?' I accept.
No show Friday- called office : answering machine states 'office closed', left message.... no callback since .... guess they don't want or need business (?)

In all honesty, I am a new homeowner and the only thing I know about plumbing is where it's located. Since buying our house last year, we have only used Cleghorn because they get the job done with honesty, integrity, and knowledge. They always educate us on what they are doing and what needs to be done. I have always felt the price is fair and it's a bonus they have been quick to help us in emergencies.

We have been using Cleghorn Plumbing for years; so happy they travel outside of Fitchburg! Efficient and responsive. Appreciate the assistance; typically when you NEED a plumber, it's not at a convenient time but they have always been willing to assist regardless of day or time

Five months ago I contacted this company. The person who answered the phone was reluctant to help me and said someone would call me right back. I am still waiting.

Update to previous review: they say they are not affiliated with Cleghorn Oil.

I am not a regular customer, but after my regular plumber was unable to get out to an emergency job, I tried Cleghorn Plumbing & Heating. I explained the ""emergency"" job in detail and they were too busy that day, but scheduled me out to Monday (from Friday). On Monday when my tenants called to ask about the time they would come, Cleghorn told the tenants it was too big of a job and they were too busy to take it. I am confused as to why they even scheduled this appointment if they were not able to fulfill the commitment. I could have scheduled with someone else. And then no one even called in the morning to cancel with us, we had to call them. Very unprofessional.

I have had them come out to my house perhaps 4-5 times total. The first time, they came out in 2015, I had recently purchased the house. There was some basement leaking and I was concerned. The owner and one of his workers came out to the site. The owner stated that it was possible that I would have to pay $25,000 to fix the problem which scared me a bit. I told then that I wanted to look at other options. At some point soon after, one of the workers came out and sealed up a pipe under one of the sinks that was the cause of the leaking. He did not sound optimistic. A few days later, I reinforced the pipe on my own with a putty like substance and have had leaking in more than a year.

Despite the aforementioned, I called them and paid them a couple more times to address toilet leaks and possible toilet replacement. They sent out one worker, Carl, who was solid, friendly and approachable in our interactions. He did good work.

However, the last time he came out he brought another worker who basically watched. This was not a problem for me but I was charged extra for labor which seemed unfair. I asked the staff at the office but neither she or the owner felt that the overall cost should be adjusted.

Despite that, I have called them 3 other times since then in order to do work, and they have not returned my messages. 2 of the times I actually spoke with someone in the office who stated that I would be called back. That did not occur.
