Company Overview

In 1991, Paul Cleary founded Cleary Plumbing & Air. While we have grown, our fundamental values continue to guide us. We dedicate ourselves daily to delivering top-notch service to our clients. We recognize our imperfections, yet we continuously work to go beyond your expectations with every plumbing and air service we provide. You will find our pricing to be competitive. However, we understand that you value more than just cost. This is why we uphold rigorous standards to guarantee you get the best value.

We are a family-run plumbing company. Our operations are managed by both first and second-generation family members. Paul Cleary, the owner, boasts over 35 years of plumbing expertise. Chris, Paul’s son, has been part of the company since 2008. Initially starting in construction, we have now concentrated on residential and commercial plumbing services. Our focus is on enhancing the customer experience. Our daily operations are designed to guarantee that our customers enjoy the best experience.

Having grown up in the plumbing industry, Chris Cleary knows the trade well. We have clients who remember Chris passing tools to Paul during the early days of Cleary Plumbing, Inc.. Chris holds degrees in Business and Real Estate from UCF. In 2008, he joined Cleary Plumbing, Inc. full-time. Chris has successfully passed the state plumbing examination and now possesses a master plumbing license. He is responsible for day-to-day service operations and handles the majority of our commercial and residential estimates. Both Paul and Chris cherish the chance to work in a family business where they aim to build long-lasting relationships with customers.

We purchased a new house and called Cleary to inspect and do any work necessary on the three air conditioning units. Zach did a very thorough job on the inspection, and told us what we needed to fix and equally important, what we didn't need to fix. Zach provided an estimate and when the work was complete, the final bill was for less than the original estimate (how often does that happen?), as some of the work he thought they might need to do was not needed. Cleary showed up on time, got the work done on time, and was professional throughout. I highly recommend!

I needed to replace a water supply valve and was linked to Cleary Plumbing by Home Advisors. When the office staff called me, I asked to provide a quote for such a service. She told me that the plumber will give me a quote after he comes out to my condo. I was quoted a price of $510 to do the job. Plumber: I need to make a hole in the wall and we won't be able to patch it afterward. Me: It sounds like a very expensive job. Plumber: You may join the membership and get a 15% discount today. Me: How much I have to pay today? Plumber: Six Hundred... Me: We are not going to have you do it then. Plumber: I will charge you $49 for the trip. OMG, this is bad business practice. 1. As a plumbing company, they should be able to provide some sort of quote for the homeowner to decide whether to have them come out or not. 2. It is a win-win situation for Cleary Plumbing because they now have my credit card on file and can charge a service call. 3. They won't clean up their mess after they cut a hole in the wall. 4. I had no experience working with them, why would I want to sign up for a membership with them? 5. They are thinking that I now have no choice but to use them so they can quote me a ridiculous price? The proposal they sent me, had $195; Shutting Down Water to Home and Draining Line. Removing Existing Shut Off Valve, Escutcheon, and Supply Line. Installing New Chrome Shut Off and Braided Supply Line. (Special Finishes Not Included) and then for another $100 - Service Includes: Shutting Down Water to Home and Draining Line. Removing Existing Shut Off Valve, Escutcheon, and Supply Line. Installing New ChromeShut Off and Braided Supply Line. (Special Finishes Not Included) MISC ServiceIncludmove water lines $215. So, how many times am I going to be charged for shutting down a line? I turned to Home advisors to avoid dishonest companies like this, but apparently, they are everywhere.

Seacoast Water noticed we had abnormally high water usage and found where the leak was, in our connection to their equipment. Charlie, from Cleary, came and assessed the problem and explained exactly what he would do to fix it. I was given a fair estimate and Charlie fixed the problem. Thoroughly professional. Happy to recommend them.

I had a leak two weeks and contacted Cleary due to the positive reviews listed for them. Plumber Steve came by early in the morning to fix the leak which I appreciated, before leaving he recommended some additional work to be done which was noted on my invoice and said that someone would call me back to give me a quote on those items. One of the items was an electrical issue with the water heater outlet that he said needed to be changed ASAP because it's a fire hazard. After a few days I contacted Cleary because they had yet to call me and inquired about the quote, they told me they would prepare the estimate and call me back with details but did not. I let a few days go by after that call and I called them again asking for the quote and same story was given and still I have not received a call with the quote. I've been trying to wait to get their quote before moving on to another company because of the great reviews but it's so frustrating. I don't understand why it's taking them 8 days to give me a quote, at this point I give up. I am highly disappointed.

Above and beyond!!! Had an emergency after hours and Cleary plumbing answered and Chris went above and beyond. Unfortunately it was an issue that involved other companies and not a plumbing specific issue. Chris recommenced who to call and even gave me a name of who to ask for. The recommended company showed up within hours and were fantastic! Problem solved and very well priced. Clearly plumbing called and followed up with me to see if my problem had been fixed. They just earned us as plumbing customers for life !!! I would recommend them to anyone.

Needed several items taken care of in our new home and went with Cleary due to the good reviews. Matt came out and walked us through everything and was very transparent with costs associated with each item. We scheduled the services (new faucet install, connecting water filtration, new hot water heater, leaky shower) and the work was done on time and everything was left clean. Notably, Matt mentioned to monitor everything and let them know if any issues arose that they stand by their work. We noticed awhile after that there was some leakage in the pipe leading to the hot water heater. Contacted Cleary and had a note back immediately, a call and Matt was there right away to address the issue and resolve it. So happy at how responsive they were and that it was done in such a timely manner.

Our toilet would not properly flush, apparently due to debris in the line. The plumber cleaned out the line and everything seemed to be OK. We were charged a few hundred dollars for the service. A few days later, we went on a trip for a couple of weeks. When we returned home, we discovered that all of our toilets, showers and bathtubs had backed up during our absence. The house was a mess. Cleary sent a second plumber, who repeated the cleaning procedure. He told us that the problem was due to a single baby wipe in the line. A single baby wipe? Frankly, we find this difficult to believe. We feel that the job was not done properly the first time. Again, we were charged a few hundred dollars for the repeat service. We feel that there should not have been any additional charge under the circumstances. The second plumber failed to properly reposition and grout the toilet that he worked on. He promised to return, but failed to do so. This necessitated a third visit from a different plumber merely to reposition and grout the toilet. The three plumbers were all courteous and professional. We realize that sometimes errors occur. However, we believe that the job was not done correctly the first time; consequently, we should not have been charged for any subsequent visits.

What a great experience from beginning to end. Kylie was so nice when I called on a Saturday, she rearranged the work schedule for Monday so Collin could come over first thing. He was awesome with helping us choose our new water heater, explaining all the pros and cons, and even when we changed our mind last minute he got us all installed and taken care of quickly and neatly. The other guy who helped him was great too! I loved the high tech touches-- we got a text with a photo of Collin before he came over so we knew who to expect. We're glad to have found a local plumber we can count on!
