We were having a problem with a toilet that was obviously clogged - draining very slowly and sometimes not at all. We had been dealing with it for a while with a plunger and a large bucket filled with water to get it to go down before finally deciding to avail ourselves of our home protection plan and have a plumber come out to address the issue. On Wednesday, July 12, I called Old Republic home protection and they referred us to Clear Water Plumbing. I was impressed that while still on the phone with Old Republic, Clear Water was already calling in to me to set up our appointment. Talk about quick! Amber at Clear Water said that it would be two days before she could get someone out to us. I called Old Republic back to see if we could get someone out sooner, but they were not optimistic. Not wanting to lose the Clear Water appointment and because the problematic toilet is not the only one we have, I called Amber back to confirm our Friday appointment. She said someone would be out Friday between 2 and 5 and that she would call me on Friday with a ""heads up"" to let me know when they were on their way.

Unfortunately, Friday found me in a hospital ER. At about 1:30 PM on Friday, I had a call from Andy of Clear Water letting me know he was at the gate to our community trying to get in. I told him he was early and that we were not at home, but asked if he could wait 10 minutes until I could get someone there. He said he would. Once again, I was impressed. Someone else might have just taken off.

My partner raced home to meet Andy. He said Andy and his co-worker (whose name, unfortunately, I did not get) were friendly and professional. They took their time to diagnose and then repair the problem, which proved to be tree roots growing into the toilet drain line. They had to completely remove and reset the toilet to clear out the line. They explained everything they were doing, checked the line outside the house and also the other toilet to make sure it was working properly. My partner said Andy and his co-worker were very thorough and easy to deal with - that they worked clean and efficiently and took care of the problem - just want you want from any service.

When I retuned later that evening, I found a voicemail message from Amber who, as promised, had called to let me know that Andy was on his way.

I would highly recommend Clear Water Plumbing. They did exactly what they said they would: they were excellent with their communications, were easy to reach, came out on time, were very thorough in diagnosing and addressing the problem, were friendly and professional. Would that everyone I had to deal with in the course of a day were the same.

If you're looking for a first rate plumber who is honest and fair, look no further. I've used Clear Water for the last 5 years or so and wouldn't consider calling anyone else. This is a rare find and I can't recommend them highly enough. They don't try to sell you anything you don't need and won't try to upsell you. Appointment was scheduled in two days, and the window was a two hour window, not half a day. This was great! Andy, our plumber, was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. He replaced the the main valve in our master shower and fixed the part that broke on our sink pop-up stopper. He was in and out in no time flat and left no mess.
