American Home Shield sent these people. What a Nightmare. I had more leaks and damage after they left. My neighbor clocked the time the tech showed up at 1:05, he left by 1:48.
He lied to AHS and tried to blame the problem on a""new Install"", that ""new install"" was 5 years ago. He left the toilet with a ""new Flapper and pump"", funny thing, he didn't realize that he left the new part by the side of the toilet uninstalled.
Arrogant customer service. I called and was told, ""tech already called AHS and he isn't coming back till Monday"" I said this is an emergency, she said"" we can come back, but it's going to cost ya"".
WORST PLUMBING COMPANY EVER !!!!
Luis S.One should be able to give 0 stars. Where do I start? Super slow response through phone at any time you call. Horrible, unsupportive staff that does not have any real willingness to help. On top of all this, they made me spend $650 on a repair that was not even necessary. After the repair was done, and the original complaint was not resolved, they referred me to find additional services from another contractor and refused to own up to an obvious mistake; technician just walked in and suggested the wrong repairs with little to no troubleshooting. Now $500 later, and a different much more responsive contractor, my issue is fixed. If you are like me and was referred through American Home Shield, good luck! You are going to need it.
Unfortunately, this was the company dispatched through my home warranty company. My water heater was leaking, Clear flow came out and replaced the relief valve. I asked them to check the pressure in the house while they were here, they said they did then took my money and left. Two weeks later I go down to the basement only to find a huge puddle on my floor. I call AHS to have someone come out and look at it. They sent the keystone cops of plumbing to look at it. They tried selling me some piece to go on the water heater; I DEMANDED they check the pressure in the house. I told them there is a gauge on top of the heater did they bother to look at it after a confused look on their faces, they looked at the gauge and said Ms. your pressure is high. Seriously??? Didn't I ask you to check that before you tried selling me additional parts for my water heater? I have no idea how this company stays in business.
This is a terrible company. They send ""technicians"" which really don't know what they are doing and are trying any cheap and quick fix. They replaced my kitchen faucet and a week later leak below my sink. Another technician comes out . The first guy took my 75.00 co pay for the home warranty agreement and pocketed that and still had the company send me a bill. He also put on a tub spout which did not fit, he did not caulk around it and it caused water to go behind my wall and run down creating a leak for the person who lives below me. Another tech comes out says the pipe needs to be cut but has no tools, no pipe, nothing. This past Saturday the thief and another guy come out and tell me the pipe does not need to be cut, and they tried to force the tub spout back on after removing the back plate. Then they left. Water was pouring into the wall and back in the home below me. Another company came out this morning. The pipe leading to the tub spout had to be replaced, the tub spout from Clear Flow was broken on the inside as well. The entire job for the new company was a little under two hours and it is all fixed. Do not use this company
Clear Flow Water Solutions was dispatched to our home by our home warranty company (AHS) for our water heater. They replaced the water heater the next day and it flooded by that evening. Tech came out and mentioned that we may possibly need a high pressure valve installed and left. Said he would contact AHS and see if they would cover. We never heard back. Basement flooded again and we called emergency number. No one called us back until the next morning and then gave us attitude about calling so many times! really??!!! We were told someone would be out Saturday between 1-5. Well... not surprising no one showed up and the plumber called and said he was running late would 7pm be ok? We said yes because we NEEDED this fixed. 7 pm rolled around and no one showed. He called finally around 8:30 pm and said he got behind and was 40 mins away and he would be to our house around 10pm! Are you kidding me? we worked for hours cleaning our flooded basement and we were exhausted ..10 pm was not good. They said they would now send a plumber out at 7:45 am on Sunday morning. Well, guess what ..they never showed until 9:30. The high pressure valve was installed in 5 mins and he was out the door. He forgot to turn the water back on as well. So since we thought all was well we continued with our day and did some yardwork. Went down to check on everything and before we even got to the second step of our basement we saw water. Basement flooded again! The plumber installed the high pressure valve and it was to heavy for the pipe he attached it too and the pipes pulled out!!!!! The home warranty company said they would call and have them send a senior plumber out! No Thank you! we do not want Clear Flow Solutions in our home ever again. There customer service is horrible and it is unacceptable to run a business like that! We have so much water damage and items that cannot be replaced due to them hurrying through a job. Do not ever use this company!
I was assigned this company through my home warranty company to check out my garbage disposal. The tech was about two hours late. Went back and forth with dispatch to determine where he was. Absolutely unacceptable.
BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!!!! Sit back and watch as the complaints continue to build! I have notified the home warranty company to STOP referring this inexperienced, unprofessional, fraudulent company!!!! I live in a small town home and have used the same size sump pump for over 10 years. It finally needed replacing and this company installed a very cheap pump that struggles to work!!! I called to have them come out to check the new pump; the woman who took the order said the pump was still under their six month warranty! I paid $89 for an inexperienced tech to come out (which he did on a dry day!) and all he did was lie and say it was working correctly! (I know what a working sump pump sounds like, and I know what a cheap, faulty sump pump sounds like!) He also tried to just sit around wasting time, staring at the floor and doing nothing; thinking he would increase the Pay By Hour charge!!!! I did not receive ANY documents on who manufactured this faulty, cheap pump! It rained a few days later and I called them back and informed them that I recorded this faulty pump struggling to work & I needed them to come and see how the pump DOESN'T WORK PROPERLY! A different man later called me back and said I should buy a larger pump from them; he LIED and said their products warranty is now ""three months"" versus the six the woman initially said!!!! I will be getting a lawyer! They are now refusing to replace this faulty pump with a working pump!!!! There should be a warranty on a pump that only lasted a few months! I'm going to place ads in every local newspaper and social blog for consumers to beware!!!!!!
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY-- FRAUDULENT Practices
This company came to us through our home warranty company to fix our water heater. They showed up at 8am 11/27/15 and told us we needed a new water heater. We were instructed that they needed to TAKE the water heater because it was under warranty and would be back TODAY to replace it. We heard nothing so we called at 3:30 pm. They said we could not get a water heater until MON, because it is BLACK FRIDAY. WE told them that was not the expectation they shared. WE called the Water Heater warranty provider and they told us they (Clear Water) have the return number and Clear Flow could come and get it TODAY from the local ""Lowes"" around the corner, TODAY!!! SO WE ARE WITHOUT A WATER HEATER. AND the have now lied to the Warranty company saying we did not want them to fix/replace it. DO NOT USE!!!
This ""plumber"" lacks strong customer service and business integrity. THEY LIED to our home warranty!!!! LIED about not being able to get the WATER HEATER!!! DO NOT USE THEM.
WISH I SAW THE OTHER REVIEWS 1ST.
INCOMPETENT? DEFINITELY. DISHONEST? POSSIBLY.
I am out $1500 for a simple clogged sewer pipe under my home. But I almost got ripped off for $7000 by this company.
My downstairs toilet backed up and flooded the basement. My home warranty company sent Clear Water out to fix the problem.
The first guy who came out couldn't figure out how to access the blocked pipe. It cost me 361 dollars for his visit which accomplished nothing. At least the guy, Jose, was a decent guy.
His boss, Dave, came by a few days later. The first thing he announced was that the blockage was outside the house and would require complete excavation of the driveway and replacement of pipes at a cost of 6-7000 dollars. But the fact is that the outside pipes could not have been blocked because all sorts of other things were draining through there just fine.
Eventually Dave admitted that the blockage was under the house and proceeded to try to unblock it with his very amateurish equipment. After an hour or so he proclaimed that he had succeeded and began to pack up.
I had paid an extra 300 dollars for him to run a camera through the pipes to make sure there was nothing serious wrong. He started feeding the camera into the pipe. After about 20 feet water began to rise and cover the camera view. He announced that this meant that there was a dip in the pipes under the house and that the whole basement needed to be dug up to replace all of the pipes. It would cost me an additional 6300 dollars. I was shocked and upset to say the least.
When Dave put the toilet back he didn't properly seal the flapper. Therefore water began to leak into the pipes. (I can't prove in court that Dave did this but it's the truth.) Two days later I came downstairs and found the basement flooded again with more raw sewage. That clearly meant that the blockage had never been cleared because nobody had used the facilities for over a week.
I contacted a local plumber in the area whose business has been around for 100 years and who is well known in the community. He was kind enough to listen to my story and offer his adv ice. He thought my whole experience sounded extremely fishy and suspected that I was being ripped off. He was very busy but I was able to convince him to help me out.
This plumber was a true expert and he had the real equipment. He used a large industrial size snake to clear the pipe. You could actually hear the rush of the water when he broke through. Then he got his camera and ran it through 100 feet of the piping all the way to the outside of the house. The pipes were in perfect condition. No dips. In absolutely excellent shape. I saw it for myself.
So I'm out $1500 for a job that should have cost around $300. But I'm happy because I'm not down the $7000 I would be if I had listened to Clear Flow.
The question becomes, is Clear Flow just incompetent or is there something more sinister going on. Dave seemed intent on turning this into a big project -- first outside the house and then under the house. He knew that I knew absolutely nothing about plumbing. I was easy prey. I guess I will never know the answer to that question.
In summary, don't hire Clear Flow for anything that can't be solved with a simple toilet plunger.
Amanda F.No sense of urgency whatsoever. My hot water heater burst one week ago. I was assigned Clear Flow through my home warranty company (who also sucks, don't bother with American Home Warranty). Finally got someone out there yesterday to confirm that it needed to be replaced. We could've told them that, my father is a plumber but we were trying to actually use the home warranty to not have to pay out of pocket. The technician said that he'd call my report in immediately. I've called the warranty company twice, who in turn called the plumbing company, and the report still isn't ready. So, I'm unable to schedule to have the replacement put in. So, another weekend without hot water/showering/etc. I realize they might not be making a ton of money from the warranty company, but COME ON. Wouldn't you want to make future business?
