Our family has a long-standing tradition in the plumbing industry that spans generations.

We believed that our expertise and experience would enable us to deliver exceptional service to our clients.

Our company was founded in the midst of a recession, a time when challenges were common for everyone.

At first, we had one person working from a second-hand box truck that we bought from another plumbing service.

Seven years later, we have expanded to 16 employees and 8 fully equipped trucks, while still holding onto our dream: to create a greener world, one drop at a time!

Since 2010, Katie has been an integral member of Clarksburg Plumbing.

JR, her husband, is a lead plumber and has been with us since the company was founded.

In 2010, JR and Katie welcomed their twin boys, and Katie transitioned to a stay-at-home working mom, managing calls, scheduling appointments, and handling billing.

In 2012, due to substantial growth, we hired a full-time office manager, enabling Katie to concentrate on marketing, social media, backflow testing, compliance, HR, safety, quality control, and material acquisition.

She supports the owners, estimators, and office manager in all daily operations.

Katie shares, ""Working for Clarksburg Plumbing has been a rewarding experience. I feel a sense of empowerment contributing to our family’s future. I am also gaining valuable insights into plumbing systems, a trade that is essential for our future. I enjoy connecting with customers personally.""

Avoid them like the plague. Literally, don't even think of hiring them. They don't know their stuff (it took them 6 (six!) visits to my house to find the root cause of the problem) and they didn't want to finish the job when they started it. THEY QUIT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE WORKS! They simply disappeared without giving any reasonable explanation either to me and/or the insurance company which assigned them for this job. They cowardly don't answer my questions and provide no rationale for their behavior. Be aware of the way how this company works.

Avoid Clarksburg Plumbing at all cost. They do NOT stand by their work. We had two water hydrants replaced by Clarksburg Plumbing in August. By October there was a crack in the faucet that clearly showed a defect in the manufacture. We called Clarksburg Plumbing immediately to let them know so they could replace it while it was under warranty. The woman on the phone told me to call the manufacturer myself. I informed her that since they bought it and they installed it, Clarksburg Plumbing needed to contact them. I had no information on who to contact. After much back and forth conversation She said she'd send someone out to the house (just to get me off the phone). I had to call back three times before they finally came, they took pictures and a week passed. I called again. They told me I owed money from the original installation and they wouldn't proceed until I paid. I proved that I had indeed paid the invoice in full ($2300.00) No apologies. I waited a week and emailed. JR said he would come and look at the hydrant. I waited another week and called him. He asked me to send a picture via text. I did. He finally came out the following week and said he'd talk to the manufacturer. I waited another week. I emailed to ask the progress. He said he'd be going to pick up the part the following week. One last email to him and he responded that the part and an hour labor to install it would cost me $400.00. Did I want him to order it. After 2 months of the runaround, he finally said that he had bought the business from his dad and couldn't afford to stand by the warranty. I am just stuck with a barn hydrant that spews water from the top instead of the spout. It is utterly useless.

Avoid Clarksburg Pluming. They did pluming work on my kitchen faucet/hot water heater.

Last month, a person came last week to check the hot water heater, it was working fine and it was dispensing water, somewhat intermittently, but otherwise was working perfectly. As the gentleman attempted to fix the hot water heater, I suggested two times he stop and leave as is as he was struggling to make a fix.

As he continued to tinker, he broke it, it no longer works, and now has to be replaced. When he got to the house, it worked nearly perfectly. They then quoted me a price of $700 to fix this item plus labor (its $250 online). It was my belief they should replace this product immediately since it was broken by them.

After corresponding, they refused to fix and would not replace the item they broke.

Awful customer service!

The job they did initially appeared to be OK but was obviously incomplete. They had to excavate quite a bit of dirt and they did not compact the dirt back properly. After some rain some of dirt washed away and now the asphalt is broken and there was a sag in the ground. They are claiming that this is not their problem. The employees need training in how to communicate properly with customers. I would never recommend this company to anyone.

My fiance and I needed our new home completely repiped, along with some drain/sewage line work. I was also pretty determined to do this with PEX on a fully-valved central manifold system, because if you have to spend five digits on residential piping, you might as well spend the extra grand and end up with something cool. I got numerous estimates done by a bunch of plumbers in the area. This kind of job was a huge multi-day full crew deal, about as big as a residential piping job can get. There are a lot of plumbers in the area very well suited to fixing a leaky pipe or unclogging a drain on short notice, but I needed a plumbing company with some bandwidth, which narrowed my options. Clarksburg came in with far and away the highest quote (well over double the lowest bidder), but I wanted this done right and Clarksburg was the only operation that instilled confidence in me that they really knew what they were getting into. Gary, the owner, came out personally to inspect the piping and solidify the scope of work.

Clarksburg got us on their schedule about a week after we finalized the proposal, and Rafael and his crew arrived promptly at 8am on the first day and every day thereafter. JR, the owner's son, came out at least once a day to inspect the work. Several times, throughout the process, we had to re-negotiate or add to the scope of work, which was stressful but unavoidable given the breadth and complexity of work. There were some misunderstandings about what was included and what was not, but in the end, I think Clarksburg was pretty even-handed, and they threw in some freebies to help take the sting out of some of the larger additions.

In spite of all the chaos, Rafael and his crew pushed through, working into the night to get the job done ahead of the holiday weekend (and thus sparing me and the fiance from another several days of not having running toilets). Ultimately, I'm happy I went with Clarksburg for this job, and I would recommend them for this kind of weapons-grade project - the end result was a world-class plumbing system.

Pros:
-Professional
-Punctual
-Great administrative staff (Katie and Terry were both great on the phone and did a fantastic job of coordinating things on the fly)
-Fair in negotiation
-High quality workmanship

Cons:
-Expensive
-Need to keep track of progress/pay attention to make sure that you, management, and the workers on site all stay on the same page as to what's being done and how

We had a pinhole leak in our basement water line. It occurred in the water line between the entry to the house and the house shutoff valve. This called for the replacement of the 1.5 foot copper pipe and a valve. The Clarksburg plumber stated a price of $380 not including parts. Having done such work in the past myself I knew that it could be done in less than a half hour. I considered this charge to be clearly excessive.

Contacted CPLLC to come out and provide an estimate for a gas line installation. JR was friendly and very personable. He looked over the job and said that it was straight forward and answered all of my questions. When the quote finally arrived, I was shocked at the quoted price. It was more than double the two other estimates that I received. I cannot comment on the quality of their work because I doubt I'd hire them as a result of their quoted price. I did reach out to them to see if this was an error; however, I have not heard back from them. I will update this review if I get a reasonable explanation.

After calling Clarksburg Plumbing on a Saturday afternoon about what we believed was a leaking pipe inside a wall. We were told that the tech could probably come in the next 2 hours, that was 2 p.m. ,at the 3 hour mark,3 p.m. we called again and were told he was still working on the job but he would call when on his way. Well.... We went to bed around 11:45 p.m. with no call, half expecting them to show up on Sunday morning. Nope! With the rates they quoted us we expected much, much better help so, not only did they not show but they never called. We called Poolesville Plumbing and they showed within two and a half hours and all ended well, except I really felt compelled to write my first ever Yelp review because of Clarksburg plumbing's inept customer service and lack of professionalism.Unacceptable and rude. I won't ever use them or refer them to anyone.
