I had Clark come to my house earlier this year to replace a leaky pop-off valve on my hot-water heating system. It took all of 3 minutes to unscrew the old one and replace it with a new one. Cost?: $150! The price was outrageous. A month or so later, the pressure relief valve on my system was leaking. I tried to go their office in Gardnerville, but no one was there. (Someone was there earlier when I was wanted to make an appointment for my pop-off valve problem.) No office hours were listed so I tried calling them. After several attempts during the day, I would only get their answering system. I went on line and tried to make an appointment, as there was an e-mail address listed. Someone tried to call me back later but I was out, so I tried to return the call but no one answered. I then sent them a PDF file explaining the problem along with a picture of the unit in question. I got some type of generic computer-generated response. Again, when they called, I was not home, so I tried calling them again and this time I told them via their answering machine that I had sent them an e-mail describing my problem. I later got a call on my answering machine that they never got the e-mail. I resent the e-mail but didn't hear from them after waiting another day or so. At this point, i decided to take my business elsewhere, as the company is poorly managed and their office staff is less-than-intelligent. So much hassle for nothing! Go somewhere else for any plumbing problems. This company just can't seem to get its act together.

Clark has been my company for all my plumbing and heating needs at several properties for 15 years. I have always received prompt and courteous and professional quality service. I don't know why negative reviews, that's never been my experience. Even if running late or if I have recurring problem they are accountable and keep me in the loop with phone calls etc. They've been busy before and reluctantly I've had to call a competitor and I was never happy--Clarks my company and worth the wait. Thanks guys for all you do!

We had to have Clark replace the well water tank because the internal bladder malfunctioned (fairly costly). A few months later it seemed to be having the problem again, but Clark gave me the run around about getting someone out to check: not returning calls, or when I got them saying they no longer have technicians who can work on that, or, or, or --Basically, not their problem. Beware of companies that don't stand by their work!

WOW, These guys hit a home run with the bases loaded! My 84 y/o mother lives alone 45 minutes south of Gardnerville at lake Topaz. Her heater went out just as the temperature dropped into the teens at night. Every other company I called either told me to go pound sand or they were booked out for several months. I pleaded my case with Clark's and they sent an overtime guy out to fix it. He rebuilt the insides with what sounds like a complete overhaul and it now works perfectly. My siblings and I live a days drive away, so we felt like our hands were tied. These guys deserve a great big THANK YOU!! As a business owner, I can tell you that we have a LOT of expenses just to keep our doors open and employees on the payroll. It is getting more expensive to operate every year. When you read reviews about pricing, please consider what we have to pay before we take home one penny. I am very satisfied and grateful. May God richly bless you all this holiday season!

Clark plumping and heating is the worst. In June 2018 they replaced my thermostat , we turned on the heater and it fired up and then it was turned way down for the summer. 4 weeks ago it did not fire up when I turned it on and I called Clark because they were the last to work on it. A young man came out and told me I needed a flame sensor which had to be ordered and he would call me back in a couple of days to tell when the part would be in and set up a time to put it on. Two weeks went by and I called to see what was happening as it is starting to get cold. I was told someone would call me back the following day. No call. I called on Friday and talked to George and was told by him someone would call me back that day. No call. Called Monday, same thing. I called on Tues. AM and was told the same thing. I gave up and called a local heating and plumbing and was told someone would be out in 2 hours. Brian showed up and within 5 min had the problem figured out and repaired. There was no part called a flame sensor in my heater. There was a broken wire which he fixed and the heater now works fine. Booooo to Clark heating. Do not use. Poor customer service.

After waiting a couple weeks for service on our AC. Clark plumbing came out to service on June 20, this is a picture of our AC AFTER $160 service and it still blew hot air. Called them several times to make contact and reach someone. The calls get routed to a national call center? No one returns the calls.. I asked to talk to the owner or a manager? Nothing!

Needed a simple fire place cleaning which they managed to turn into 3 visits - one to inspect, a second one to clean and then told me they needed a third visit because they could not finish on the second one. Every time they charge you for travel, card processing fees and others. The third time the technician stayed barely 10 min but they charged for an hour work plus travel etc. When I called to complain they told me that was the min charge per visit. Pointed to them that the third was due to an oversight on their part. They told me billing would call to discuss, three weeks later and four calls in I am still waiting for someone from ""billing"" to call me back.

Avoid at all costs. Clark Plumbing came to service a fully functioning heater. When we tried to use the heater the day after their visit it was no longer functioning. We called them asking to come back and check but they refused several times citing various excuses and willing to leave us with no heat overnight in 20F weather. We ended up having to call another provider to find out the issue was due to an error on Clark's side. Called the manager who had the guts to tell me they always guaranty their work and were ready to send someone. He mentioned he would waive the service fee but then still send us a bill. They are not professional and do not stand by their work.

Had I seen the Yelp section ""6 other reviews that are not currently recommended"" and read those reviews I would have known to stay away. The issue in Reno/Tahoe/Truckee area is that the demand is so high for the trades (plumbing, electrician, carpet installer, roofers) that these companies get away with shitty service, horrible customer service, and high prices.

I had issues with Clark Plumbing in Carson from scheduling to horrible customer service, and inefficient service. Bottom line, DON'T USE! Sadly I have no other plumbing company I can recommend as I used Dukes last year for a gas line with similar results. I first discovered a leaking toilet and leaking furnace exhaust while working in the crawl space. I called Clark 11/6/17 and was on a wait list the first week for ""first cancelation opening"". The week came and went and I called on 11/10/17 for an update and instead of being on a cancelation list I was scheduled for Monday 11/20/17. The appointment was scheduled for 12-4pm. I called office at 3pm to see where the tech was and was told he was running late and I was last on his list. The office said they would call the tech and call me back with an update. I never received a call back. At 5:30pm a guy shows up to account he was only here to get a material list of the issues and stated the office would call back to reschedule. They never called back. I called them on Friday 11/24/17 to see when they were going to reschedule the work. The stated Monday 11/27/17 from 12-4pm. Monday afternoon comes and I call them to learn the tech never showed up and won't be coming out. I asked why didn't receive a call as I'm just waiting at my house. Clark reschedule or Wednesday 11/29/17 from 8-12. The day before I get a call they will be out form 12-4 and I called the office to see why I was pushed back and to make sure that I wasn't at the end of the customer list that day and the leaks would get fixed. Technician actually comes out on 11/29/17 , attached new gasket and new seal on toilet but doesn't have material to the leaking 3"" pipe nor piping & connections for the furnace flu. So a SECOND material list is created and I'm reschedule for the next day 11/30/17. I can report the work is complete, but the invoice showed the tech's work on 11/29 at 0.5 hrs more than he said he was going to charge and today's 11/30 (3rd tech) completely redid the work done yesterday as he completely replaced the gasket (not just fixing what was there) and added two more seals.
I called TJ (office manager) right away to talk about the invoice as I didn't want to pay for the tech's work yesterday that was unnecessary as it was redone today and he was obtuse and not helpful nor cordial at all. They run a horribly inefficient shop and do not provide any hint of a happy customer service. NOT RECOMENDED
