I made the mistake of using Clark for Plumbing after being warned. My first experience was Great! A very nice guy came and cleaned all my sink and shower drains. I was really happy with the experience. I thought, why is everybody so against Clark.
Well holy cow, I know why now!

I need a four things handled. A shower message installed, a sink pop up repaired, a new filler in a toilet and a new toilet installed. Honestly, one guy should have been able to handle it. I was sent two plumbers. One (the worthless one) cost $220 an hour and the other cost $120. I had said exactly everything that I needed done when I made the appointment. Well guess who had to run to the hardware store to get parts, that's right, me. This would be no big deal except when they left I was told that since I supplied parts there is no warranty on the work that was preform, ""but we checked everything out and it's fine"". $400+ seemed high, but as the old saying goes with elevation comes inflation.

Part two of the saga begins. My sink now has a study small stream of water running through it. I thought, well I want to replace the vanity anyway. I was able to get it to a slow drip.... drip....drip.....
Next my new toilet is leaking at the base. Every time it's flushed I can see water seeping out. Apparently, there was a problem when the tile was installed. My husband and I were here the whole time. Why, we weren't told about the situation is a mystery to us. I call back and schedule an appointment. I got a call back that nothing is on warranty because I supplied parts. I was told that everything was detailed on the invoice. She must have a program that deciphers handwriting, because I can't understand what this paper says (inserted below).

To be truthful, I lost it on the poor girl who scheduled appointments. For that I am sorry. I told her that she needs to talk to someone and get back to me. I also, said that if I have to pay again that I will get a plumber that can do it right the first time. I really don't blame her for not calling me back or understanding that I said not to send them if it's not warranted, because I was really angry.

So when I never heard back and the plumber showed up two hours before our scheduled time I assumed that they were backing their work. Oh hell, NO. When the lead plumber walked in the door he announced, ""I knew this was going to happen"" referring to my leaking toilet. I thought, hmmm, convenient that you told me no warranty as you I was paying the bill.

Bottom line another $365 for a total of $781 to have a few simple things done and still no warranty.

So. Lake Tahoe: book appointments online, but then don't show up and then hang up on you when you call. This division of a National Chain should be avoided.

Woww, this is definitely the worst company I have ever dealt with in the Tahoe area. A 2-3 day job that they quoted, took them 41 days. I found a leak in the work they did so they did fix that. However, they charged my credit card without authorization before the job was completed and admitted that the job was not done properly and not according to their contract. Communication between worker and the front office was horrible and someone was definitely lying. The area where they worked was left in complete upheaval and I am still trying to fix all there destruction. The workers had no concern or regard for the existing work. When I asked for a discount the owner threatened to put a lean on my condo which was up for sale so I had not much choice other then pay it, due to pending sales. I really hope that this deters people from hiring them. It was such a headache, in hindsight I would have paid more for a better company. For your sake don't hire them!

This review is long over due! I've wanted Clark to know how much I appreciate their fast and reliable service at all my homes these past many years--i think I'm one of your original customers--and I never hesitate to call or recommend you. Clark has helped me with numerous projects--from faucet repairs to new furnaces to clearing sewer lines for me and my tenants. Thank you for always being fair and showing up and proving to me again and again my trust is well placed. You treat me like I matter to you and I'm writing this to let everyone know.

In Tahoe, all of our plumbers are busy, especially when cold weather hits. We have called upon Clark several times and they come thru every time. This week we had a water heater fail leaving my tenants without hot water. We called the warranty company, they could not raise anyone. We called around and landed upon Clark and the got a plumber over to fix the water heater within 4 hours. Outstanding service, knowledgable professionals and great back office personnel. Give them a try!

Our hot water heater began leaking on the Friday after Thanksgiving. I called Clark as they were recommended to us. I spoke with the receptionist and she stated she would get ahold of the Tech and he would call me back right away. I waited about 3 hours and called again. I got a very rude lady who stated the tech should be calling me any time. He did not call. I missed out on Christmas tree hunting with my family waiting for him to call. As of today I have never received a call back. I found another local business that was great and my problem is solved. This is horrible customer service. If you are too busy at least call to let me know. I would not recommend them at all

The company has serious professional issues.
The communication is terrible, the office staff called me a liar and the tech flooded my garage installing a new water heater, I asked him to leave and had to hire another company to come finish the job!

You hear time and again, about shopping local and using local contractors and businesses. Clark your a joke! We had an appointment for a bid for a new furnace and duct work. We understood that it's a busy time of year. Our scheduled appointment was Monday, October 8, 2018 and you called in the afternoon to say, your tech went home because he needed a root canal. That you would come Tuesday 10/9/18 between 10-2 pm. I called at 2:05pm wondering if you were still coming? You said, Yes the tech will call when he's on his way! I called again at 3:45 and the tech showed up at 4:15. We live in a typical Tahoe neighborhood and the tech said, he was not sure if they have mobile home furnaces and we said this is a house. He said oh sorry, he asked for a flashlight, was not wearing anything that said, Clark on it and he told us, he just moved from LA and was not used to this weather. We asked for a written bid/estimate twice and he was getting ready to go and after watching him scribble on a notepad he said the ballpark figure, $500 up or down would be $8000!!!! $8000 for a 900 sq foot cabin, seriously. You never gave us a written bid and it's 3 days later! Your tech was very unprofessional and cocky.

These guys are nice and all... everyone is nice on phone. Our AC was not working and they come out. The main problem was Fuse was gone and since we were not there, we called Clark Plumbing. They fixed the problem and replaced filters etc. The AC did not work within a week, called them back and they fixed it. It broke within 2 hrs and called back and fixed it. No parts were installed and all they did was tweak the problem here and there without going through the whole system. Cost to us of 3 trips? Over $1000 and the technician who came so many times as apologetic over phone and all. I thought they would not charge but they did for all 3 visits! The owner of the company refuses to hear the actual series of event with the whole problem and kept talking as if we are the goons who are not paying. Of course there was confusion of paying 1st bill which was identical to 2 more bills! Just avoid them or if you've to get them, because of lack of technicians in the area, BE very very careful and demanding of the work. For this confusion the owner wanted to put lien on the multi million dollar home. They don't give a rat's ass all they want is $$$
