These guys are nice and all... everyone is nice on phone. Our AC was not working and they come out. The main problem was Fuse was gone and since we were not there, we called Clark Plumbing. They fixed the problem and replaced filters etc. The AC did not work within a week, called them back and they fixed it. It broke within 2 hrs and called back and fixed it. No parts were installed and all they did was tweak the problem here and there without going through the whole system. Cost to us of 3 trips? Over $1000 and the technician who came so many times as apologetic over phone and all. I thought they would not charge but they did for all 3 visits! The owner of the company refuses to hear the actual series of event with the whole problem and kept talking as if we are the goons who are not paying. Of course there was confusion of paying 1st bill which was identical to 2 more bills! Just avoid them or if you've to get them, because of lack of technicians in the area, BE very very careful and demanding of the work. For this confusion the owner wanted to put lien on the multi million dollar home. They don't give a rat's ass all they want is $$$

Stay Away!! Clark put in a new heating system in our home. The unit went out inside a year and they came out on a weekend (nice of them) to look at it. They charged me double time for the service call. They did not have the part on hand. Said the part would be on warranty because heater was new. Then they called and said part is not on warranty and I would have to pay $250 for the part, but they would put it in for free. After paying $250 for the part they charge me for a second service call anyway. I'm fighting the credit card charge cause they placed it without my permission. Tried talking to the owner to work something out and he hung up on me. These guys are scam artists!! Stay Away!!

worst customer service ever, the guys they have working for them have no clew what they are doing let alone can communicate. if you want to wait months to get something fixed and then have to call someone else to fix it, these are your guys. BEWARE.

Used these guys to upgrade a old central heat system to HVAC. They did an alright job but scratched my new floors badly. When I confronted them about it, they refused to pay to fix it! I ended up having to take it off the invoice myself as I wasn't about to pay them in full after they damaged my house. Also down the road I had an inspection done on this HVAC system they installed and I was told that they didn't vent it properly and that I had to have it revented properly because it wasn't getting the proper air flows

Warning!
My new home had a damaged heater (installed by Clark) due to water seeping from the roof, down the pipe and into the casing!

The woman who answered the phone was not polite. But the real shocker was when she transferred me to a man (manager?) who was so blatantly rude, I hung up. His tone was so ugly. He clearly did not care at all.

The people (inspectors and installer from another company) who gave me my estimate told me that they see this type of lousy work from Clark all the time.

I knew the moment TJ Stewart walked into my lakefront home that he was lazy and the price would be exorbitant.

I told him I was getting quotes and he became irritated. When I tried to negotiate the price and he saw I had questions, because he was going from a 155,000 btu to a 135,000 btu (probably to skimp and save money) he told me I should look for someone else.

So if you don't care about getting ripped off go here and try not to ask to many questions or the owner will become an asshole.

I told him I was going on Yelp and he freaked out saying that we have no lives and nothing better to do. I told him Yelp is helping consumers stay away from people and businesses like you. No longer are we quite and just looking in the yellow pages and betting if we are getting an honest and sincere contractor.

Several years ago I called Clark for a small wall heater installation in our cabin. It must be about 10 years ago. They wanted $6000.00 dollars. Do these plumbers at Lake Tahoe think that they are brain surgeons. Most of them are way over priced and greedy. I am writing this at such a late date, because i just read the reviews for this company. Most of the time you are lucky if they answer the phone or call you back. If they come out to give an estimate it takes weeks to get an answer. Is anyone else tired of the Tahoe greed and incompetence?

We called them because they advertised a free estimate, and being that we had two issues of concern, smell and low output in two rooms. While our initial conversation with Shelia seemed awkward (she said ""let's see how much the government will charge us"" and mumbled a lot), she got Techs to come out a few hours later. They looked at our new filters (3 weeks old) and told us they need to be changed, and tried to sell us a maintenance plan. Then told me the fee would be $104, then charged me $109 ($5 ""convenience fee"" that he made no mention of). They were literally here for 20 minutes, and didn't do anything but obtain our unit serial numbers. When I called the offer to question the charge another lady told me that she could have another tech come out. I wasn't interested in being sold another maintenance plan, or dealing with a company that doesn't stand behind their ads.

Update: A Man called me back and actually said ""I was asked to call you"". He told me what he knew, then asked for my version. I basically agreed with him then added that when his technicians got to our location they didn't do anything. He proceed to tell me that they were asked to be quiet and told they couldn't do any work. To which I asked ""why would I have called you out?"", he had no answer but began to belittle me, even asking if I was new to the area. Since when does that matter when providing customer service? He was told that I wasn't going to pay for the call, I never said that, only saying that I an extremely unhappy with my having to pay for time spent on a job that was not completed. When I asked why I wasn't told about the $5 ""convenience fee"" he told me that was something that the ""office girls"" would tell me. Funny, because the tech gave me the receipt. When I asked about the ""Free Estimates"" on their website he (with a raised voice) said that they don't offer Free Estimates.

Overall, had a toilet installed but not totally installed properly. Service person seemed confused and time I paid for seemed excessive. Doubt if I can recommend them for further work.

My husband and I recently purchased a home in South Lake Tahoe, it's a huge fixer upper and things are just not done right, we were freezing as the floor heater wasn't performing, we called Clarks plumbing and heating and asked for help resolving the issue, some time in few days the tech came by which was a very weird experience as it looked like the guy came to laugh at our problem, he looked at the floor heater and said that this floor heater is working at its maximum but there is a part of it missing which I quote ""probably makes your head spin as you are breathing carbon monoxide"". He was smiling and it really felt like he doesn't like us for some reason. He said that we need an HVAC unit installed, he said it's going to be a ""huge"" job and gave us a number $12,600. We asked if he can Andreas the floor heater issue - he said that he's not touching that... he wanted to charge us $140 service fee - a complete scam.

Just an update, it took a day to install a York HVAC unit, it was $5,600 for the labor and materials and these guys are a complete scam, do not pay them, do not deal with them, they are running g a corrupt business scamming people with need as there are not many choices I. south Lake. Do your research and call companies in Sacramento, there are many plumbing and heating companies there and they are not crooks like these guys.

Horrible and sad to see such companies still exist - don't give them a penny!!!
