Recommended Customer Reviews

We had CK install a tankless system, and that was great. As part of the install they removed the old tanks and used a dolly to haul them away. In the process our custom floating stairs were gouged and damaged. The installer was decent enough to own that and advised we call the office to see what could be done. We were not looking for some exorbitant payout but something as this will be a multi thousand dollar expsense to fix. They told us to pound sand and that such things are par for the course. Zero integrity. To be clear the plumber himself did great.

Huge RANT to CK Mechanical. Grab your popcorn, this is a long one.
I called CK Mechanical to give me an estimate for installing a stackable washer dryer and new vanity in my bathroom. They sent an apprentice to give the estimate of work back in December, so when the journeyman got to the job in February and found out the estimate wasn't accurate to the work that needed to be done they had to come up with a different game plan. He then proceeded to leave two apprentices to do the job, which not only took a MONTH to do, but they left trash and cigarette butts in the garage, my tenant at one point found them sitting around the house ""waiting for parts to be delivered"", flooded the bathroom once (almost twice!) and more.
I then hear from my tenant after the work is done (I have heard NOTHING from CK during the duration of this job), and he is horrified of the experience he had, but is glad the work is done and they are no longer working at the house.
I then ask him for pictures of the job and ask about some of the work they did, to which NONE of it was a part of the estimate I received for the job! He had also not seen the journeyman since that first day, so no one signed off on the work the apprentice's did.
I also find out that the contractor that was on the job made a complete mess of the place when removing and reinstalling dry wall, so much so that the tenant couldn't stay in the house for two nights and had to pay for cleaners.
After collecting all of this information, I proceed to call them and try to figure out what the heck happened. We schedule a meeting with a different journeyman (to which I have to drive from Sheridan to meet with) to go over everything and affirm that he would be installing an emergency floor drain that wasn't done from the initial estimate. I also request that he and his supervisor send me a signed letter stating that the work done by those apprentices would not cause issues down the road and he agreed to get that taken care of.
A MONTH GOES BY and not a word. I follow up with the tenant and he says the journeyman installed the emergency floor drain and was going to call me.
I call again. They say they will call me back.
A week later I call again, but now I'm pissed. The gentleman I speak with says he will call me back, and calls back 5 minutes later saying the ladies in the office will email me the journeyman's write-off of the apprentice's work. Awhile later, I receive a waved bill of the emergency floor drain install he did. I respond and tell them that's not sufficient enough and that I need written consent of the work the apprentice's did or that I will demand they come and do the entire job over again free of charge.
Crickets.
I don't know what else to do. I am now paying for a job that wasn't done according to the estimate I received, and I am EXTREMELY frustrated with how this situation has been dealt with. I don't trust them to come and do the job again and want nothing to do with them, and am angry to have to pay them for this treatment at all.
DO NOT USE CK MECHANICAL FOR ANYTHING!!!

Called to have a garbage disposal replaced. They wouldn't give me pricing over the phone, said the tech would have that when he showed up. When he did show up, he wanted $425 dollars to do the job, which was ludicrous. I told him disposal's at Home Depot are $100 bucks, he says oh no, they start at $140. I refused service, and he charged me $67 bucks for showing up.
This must be the new scam, call for pricing, they don't give it to you, send out a tech, overcharge you, then when you refuse service, we charge for showing up.
My job in Casper had me involved with thousand's of people everyday, I would never in a million years recommend these scam artists to anyone, and believe me when you live here your whole life, people ask me who to recommend, this outfit is not one. What a disgrace to this community.

I had a water heater installed yesterday and I'm incredibly happy with the service. The quote was not the highest or lowest, but the professional level of service I received was worth the extra. Lowest bids are not always a great idea. I was charged exactly what my estimate stated and I'm happy that they do not charge an hourly rate, rather a per job rate. Things were very cut and dry and up front. I also got their friends and family plan that gave me 25% off up front (though this only brought the price down to what others were quoting. I feel like this was more of a marketing move to give me services later on. I respect the business savvy of the move, but feel it's a bit shifty - hence the one star off).
Pros: Fast and friendly. Everyone I dealt with was very professional and took great care to treat me like a human and my house like their own. The technician who installed it (Sean) seemed knowledgeable and welcomed my questions. I like that the family plan helps to cover all services and includes inspections later on (as we may need it for selling the house). The 25% discount will be welcome as well should we need other work later on.
Cons: Not the least expensive, but I wasn't really shooting for cheap, I wanted dependable. The family plan seems like a good idea up front, but it felt like it was necessary to get in order to get the real price of a water heater install.

So, we had originally had some issues with pricing, but the office lady was more than willing to hear our complaints and adjust the price even after we had agreed to pay a higher price. They went above and beyond our expectations and I can recommend them to our friends.

I will never call these rip offs again!! They tell you they give a quote up front and thats what you pay and if not satified you don't pay. I got a quote and then was told if they have to do more than what they thought then that will be extra. The guy did maybe an hour of work and spent 3 hours running for parts at their shop across town so I was billed for that time as well. The job shouldnt of taken more than an hour at most and they charged over $800 to replace a drain pipe nipple that I found out late that I could of bought the part for $50 and fixed it myself in an hour. Just so I didnt get charged more I put the sink cabinet back in place and hooked the sink up myself because that was gonna be extra $$$. I think these people are the biggest RIP OFFS and LIERS and will never call them again
