We live in an older Philly row home with older Philly pipes. City Plumbing has recused us from more plumbing disasters than I can count off the top of my head: broken radiator pipes, main drain line, sewer lines and trap, heating boiler (the week before Christmas)... Fast response times that are proportionate to the issue and fair prices that are well described on the invoice. Overall: extremely dependable.
Excellent experience working with City Plumbing. They came to investigate a leak and did a great job resolving the issue quickly. Their price was very reasonable and competitive and their services were friendly and competent. Highly recommended!!

Quote: Extremely fast in responding, very thorough in walking through the job, and being honest and competitive on various options costs. Did not feel railroaded or pushed into an option.
Customization: Discussed options on how to plan for future with pipe access and reviewed questions, as I compared offers. No hassle, no fuss, high customer service focus.
Work: Very impressed with the work done by the City Plumbing team. They were diligent with COVID in wearing masks, especially when entering my premises to do an initial demo, install, and replacing bathroom appliances. Very professional. Only would suggest that foreman provide an overview walkthrough the day of the work about what will happen and what to expect. Prompt on-time
Reality: a couple of innocent mistakes happened with my window sill and window gate during the job. The company took full responsibility and repaired the problems with outside contractors. They remained accountable and courteous throughout. One outside contractor wasn't great with timeliness and initial understanding of the problem, but did a fairly serviceable job (and City Plumbing was responsive to this concern), the other contractor was top notch.
Customer Service: Karlene and Jacinda were excellent at relaying messages rapidly and addressing questions that arose
Overall Value: Very high---received high-quality work, good guarantee, politeness, and efficiency for a fair price. Would use again.
Paige J.READ UNTIL THE END (first part is a draft I had saved since February and second part is what is happening to my home due to their negligence)
Whatever you do- don't let these guys into your home: Showed up an hour+ late after requesting a time between 2 of their time slots: 8am to 12pm or 12pm to 4pm....so they showed up at 1:30pm.
I am horrified that this company is so similar to cable companies- disrespectful of their customers time. The only difference is you are paying these guys much more money to at least make it to the appointment BETWEEN the time slot.
Considering I got a video sewer scope inspection at a new home, that I don't live at yet, it is a major inconvenience to wait longer than what I agreed on with the company prior to the day of the inspection .
Both reception and the guys on sight need to work out a better plan to make sure communication happens in a more up to date way. I had to personally call TWICE to get an update. If you can find a different company to do the job that doesn't disrespect you and your time, you are better off.
I understand things happen like traffic or other late clients, but these are things that by now should be planed for or AT THE VERY least communicated with your client
They get 2 stars for completing the job and getting me true information that I paid for. But they failed to get 3 stars which would have came from better customer service, respect and time management.
(Now that's just the beginning that I drafted up back in February and decided not to post as I try not to give out 1 to 2 stars bc this is someone's business and my experience is just one person....but after my newest interaction I decided I don't want them to do this to anyone else, too!)
SOOOO now they get 1 star only because in order for me to share my experience I have to give a star which they don't even deserve.
So you see I mentioned they did a video scope inspection...NOPE, no video. BUT the guy at the house was HAPPY to take the full check amount for NO video. I called and they refunded me (just paid for a scope inspection- not refund in full... originally I gave a check for $300 and they refunded me around $75.... BIG MISTAKE Bc now my new home is flooded and I have no proof their employee even completed the job. I have a piece of paper that says he saw clean pipes and no problems (literally 3 sentences)---, I moved April 24 and a flood occurred April 30 (no one living in home until April 24) and the Pipes are CRACKED and completly messed up- lots of money to fix this mess that should have been avoided. We had 2 other professional opinions that have said this issue was here since before the city plumbing inspection so they definitely should have seen it.
Best part is the email response from who I assume is a manager/owner named Ryan Gomez. (After I spoke with them on a phone call to inform them of this problem)
Anyways, the email was unprofessional and rude. I didn't want to attach for reference because that is not my place but here is a quote that continues to stand out in my mind ""we charged a minimal fee and provided no guarantee on anything."" -- I never would have chose a company that might just flip a coin before inspecting my sewer. Also it wasn't a ""minimal fee"" you charged me your sewer scope inspection price.....Absolutely horrified.
Moral of the story- they just don't care about their customers, find someone else.
Great service. Nice guys took the time to answer my questions. Main was blocked and now it's good to go and took no time at all
Was told they'd be at my house between 8 and noon for an estimate. Followed up with them at 12:45. They said they needed at least another hour and a half before they could get to me. I start work at 2 and have no days off any time soon. They wanted to reschedule. What so I can put another rediculous 4 hour window block of time on hold? Sorry. They only get to do that to me once. Guess they are too busy to honor commitments. Hope this review lightens their load.
Yesterday, my central air went out. It was almost 100 degrees, and it was a Sunday, so I was really in trouble. I called City Plumbing at 8AM, had someone at my house by noon, and had AC by 1PM. What a godsend this company is. I also figured that they would charge me an arm and a leg, and they didn't! They were amazing. Highly recommend.
Bianca L.Ryan and the staff at city plumbing are amazing. I have been using Ryan for various projects both big and small. When a main line broke leading to 14 homes he was there immediately restoring water to homeowners and taking on the huge project of replacing the pipe. He has since fixed my ac, replaces a washer and repaired a broken pipe in my house. Each time his crew has been prompt and very responsive. He is my go to with any plumbing issue.
Laima P.For a few years I've tried 3 different plumbing companies, some were overpriced with OK job, some were lazy with medioka quality , some I was waiting for a long time to come and they never came. I needed to re-route venting pipe from basement to the roof of the 3rd floor. Matt came and gave me the estimate and Ryan came as agreed to do the job. The way he worked and did the job - I was pleased (and it's very difficult to please me). So I kept them in my mind till the next time I need plumbing job done. Time came and I called back City Plumbing.
This time Tom and his assistant Kody came - and what a job the did! It was only second time in my 4 years that I did not need to ""baby sit"" construction workers. They are very professional, upon their arrival we worked through the project - I expressed my wishes, listened their suggestions and they went straight to work! The way they worked i knew my presence is not needed - the guys know what they are doing and the most important was the quality. It's so funny because only when they were leaving on their truck I saw ""quality service"" - that's exactly what these guys provide. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for such excellent job. It was that rear team when I just would open my mouth to mention a detail as in return I would hear - ""Don't worry , we have it - you'll be covered. The guys are young and in the past I was looking for the ""old school guys"" but this company changed my mind and they brought back a trust in the construction people who do their job right and with quality! Thank you guys and you'll be the only ones with who I'll continue my plumbing job.
P.S. They might get busy and not come for estimate as scheduled (that happened the second time) but be patient and they'll come to you.
I was recommended this heating and plumbing company by a very skilled electrician I had previously hired to do some rewiring. I worked with Ryan and CJ who installed an indirect water heater as a second zone on my high efficiency boiler.
Though the install was quick and tidy, we ran in to a difficult problem of intermittent banging which presented itself after all of the work was paid for (I paid half up front and half upon completion). The problem was difficult to diagnose because it would only happen every hour of so. Ryan and CJ were extremely patient and diligent as they came out to my residence 5 or 6 times to try and remedy the install. After replacing each part and though discussions with the manufacturers, eliminated the boiler and the water tank as culprits and zeroed in on a pump with a broken check valve. The folks at city plumbing are consummate professionals. I gladly recommend their work and their ability to stand by it.
