Another rip-off in Hot Springs Village! These clowns charged me $331+ for hooking up my back flow valve and turning my sprinkler system on. They claimed an O ring was missing from the valve, but just happened to have a $42 piece of plastic that would fit. Had called earlier and made an appointment, but they never called or showed on appointment day. After an email from me, they showed up promptly. I have used these yahoos before, and had no qualms about calling them again. BIG MISTAKE! DO NOT CALL THESE RIP-OFF ARTISTS UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET RIPPED-OFF. BEWARE!

Great service. After dealing with another Big Blue company for 2 weeks trying to get a water heater installed and having the install date changed 3 times , I called the Gang here. They had me a new water heater in in about 5 hours. Super Fast, Friendly , Professional. Will use them again.

Ronnie the owner of City Plumbing 47 Minutes of work $469.00 Ronnie wrote the invoice and stated no warranty. I called the office they said it would send out a plumber for $69.00 fee. The owner Ronnie ripoff came out and said if it took two hours it would be 399.00. I told him its a snake to clear the sewer pipes there is no way it would take over 1 hour. I told Ronnie I was going to stand right there and turn on my timer on my phone to be sure it would not be 2 hours. Ronnie plumber finished the job in 47 minutes and the bill was $468.00 for 47 minutes $10.00 per minute and I told Ronnie and showed him my phone timer. Ronnie just laughed at me and said he was the owner. I said if your office had said it would be $468.00 to snake a drain pipe I would have said no way. I called a different plumber here in town they said they thought it would be very high at $468.00. I think this is very high for 47 minutes $468.00. I am waiting for a refund from city plumbing. I want everyone in Hot springs to be aware they are complete ripoffs,

TOTAL RIP OFF COMPANY....
Called them after the big ice/snow storm to look at an issue from a frozen pipe at my 87 year old mother's house in Hot Springs.
They showed up and were there 15 minutes - all they did was cap off the leak and charged $268. When I called them to ask why it that expensive - I was told they go by BOOK PRICING - NOT HOURLY RATES!
I had no issue with the $69 service fee - but $199 additional for 15 minutes!
WOW!!! I would not even have issue with the $268 had they actually REPAIRED the pipe - but they did NOT do the repair. They told my mom and me that if we wanted the pipe actually repaired, it would be another day and another ""BOOK CHARGE"". Literally they were there the amount of time it would have taken to give me a quote - and if they had only done an estimate only, it would have cost me $69!

Asked to speak to the owner - Ronnie finally returned my call
I told him that I use two plumbing companies in Dallas and this job in Dallas, where I live, would have been $141 from one company and $150 from another. If they charge book pricing, why not give my mom the full amount of the time for that repair and stay and ACTUALLY FIX THE ENTIRE PROBLEM. (this is a line that feeds to two outside water hydrants so I guess they felt it was too cold/not important enough to handle it that day.)
I asked Ronnie to please work with me and be fair about this 15 minute job - and repeated my displeasure that it was not even repaired. I asked for a credit to my card / price adjustment. Ronnie advised that he would 'think about it' and would call me back. RONNIE NEVER CALLED BACK....

After no call back from Ronnie, I disputed just a portion of the charge (only disputed $88 of the $268 to be fair to everyone) and their response back to the credit card company was all a lie too. They told them that I was 'happy with their job but later changed my mind' and called the next day to complain. TOTAL LIE. I called the first time 15 minutes after they charged my card - in shock at the price and that it was not actually a completed job - and would require a return visit.

Fast Forward....I had the actual repair done by another local plumber in Hot Springs that charges HOURLY RATES @ $80 per hour. The full job cost only $80 and that included the trip charge...They were there 40 minutes and done. They cut the 3/4"" galvanized pipe, repaired the coupling, and spliced in new piece. Done for a fair price by an honorable, LEGITIMATE COMPANY.

TO RECAP:
40 Minutes = $80 by a FAIR Hot Springs plumber that charges hourly rates.

15 Minutes = $268 by City Plumbing based on their 'BOOK PRICING'!
RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!!

If City Plumbing, Heating & Electric of Hot Springs had done the right thing, and were a standup and fair company - they would have done the adjustment.

HOMEOWNER BEWARE!!!
Do your research and ALWAYS ASK if a plumbing company charges HOURLY or BOOK PRICING.

I called City Plumbing Heating and Electric to have two air conditioners changed out and they came out and gave me an estimate the same day, and had the job completed two days after that. They cleaned up after themselves and did a great job that I am very pleased with in every way. I have used them for plumbing also and they give a one year warranty on all repairs!!

I called to set up an appointment several days in advance with City Plumbing (as I had them do a job several years ago for me), because I had several plumbing needs & several electrical needs, & could get both done at one time from one company.
Plumber got there & quoted ""from the book"" for the jobs & I was appalled at the price, which was twice what was expected for replacing a dishwasher & sink, with items I had already bought. Over the barrel, I agreed. (About $176/hr!)
The electrician on the other hand, walked out without saying where he was going, would be back soon, or anything. After about an hour, I asked the plumber if he knew when his buddy was coming back? He did not know.

After another hour, I called the main office to inquire, & she knew nothing. I finally had to call another electrician to arrange service for that afternoon & fortunately found Stoney Lane Electrical that could do it for me and he did a fine job.
I won't be calling City Plumbing & Electric again.

These people are the best! They always wear covers on their shoes so they don't get my carpet dirty and they are polite and informative. Wouldn't consider using anyone else!

We had problems with our A/C unit and one of our faucets. We had tried calling a different service in town initially, but they didn't return our calls and only replied to our text messages (which was mentioned on the voicemail) after a delay of multiple hours. They seemed nice, but I'm personally not a fan of waiting around without a schedule.

I really appreciated how City Plumbing, Heating & Electric was not only able to send one technician to cover multiple issues - but their office was very diligent in calling to inform me of any schedule changes. When they weren't able to send someone the day I called, they scheduled me for 8 a.m. the next morning. Unfortunately - while they weren't able to arrive until 10 a.m. - the office called to notify me rather than having me sit around for a few hours.

I also appreciated that when I scheduled the appointment - the office explained the flat service fee for the visit. The technician also explained all of his repairs, was very courteous and prompt, and identified all of the charges on the bill.

Would highly recommend to others!
