Do not go anywhere near this company. They billed me a ridiculous amount to change a flapper on a toilet. There are plenty of honest, reasonably priced plumbers out there, which I found out unfortunately after I hired them.
Richard W.Citron was supposed to do an installation of an overflow pan and other work. So far it's been three weeks. I was told the pan had to be fabricated by another company, hence the wait. Citron also put off fixing a broken toilet, a n urgent problem. A plumber was supposed to come by today between 9 AM and noon, so far at 12:121PM, no one has shown up. When I lived in Pleasantville, we had much better luck with Rob, and Mike Mele Jr. The senior Mike Mele also was great. Early on the Pleasantville we wanted to replace mixed piping with all copper. The first estimate we received was for $2000. Mike Senior did it all for $495. I shall go back to them in an instant.
Harrison P.I was recommended to use citron by a friend to fix a leak I had under my sink. The staff was friendly and helpful. They also have a flexible schedule and good availability which was a plus.
Francisco S.This company is very professional and has licensed plumbers, which is something I couldn't find that easily. I had a leaking toilet and i didn't know what the problem was. When Citron Brothers took a look at it, it ended up being the waste bend that was damaged. They did the job in a day and I have to say that I was very satisfied with the efficiency of their work. I totally recommend them to anyone in the Westchester/Bronx area.
I would not use Citron for any plumbing work. We hired Citron to replace all the copper pipes in the walls of our 2nd floor kitchen and 3rd floor bathroom and install new water lines to a third floor closet for a new washing machine. Citron had to re-install my new bathtub twice because it was tilted in the wrong direction leaving water to collect in the two rear corners which would eventually cause mold and damage the new tile walls.. The new bathtub, installed by Citron, had to be removed so they could shim the back and raise it a few degrees, which meant that I had to remove and replace all the new cement walls around the new tub to get it out (at my expense). Citron's plumbers didn't fasten the new copper pipe for my shower head to the beams properly so my shower head was loose and moving in all directions. In addition, I hear an alarming knocking sound inside my bathroom wall behind my bathroom sink, every time the new washing machine (four feet away in my hall closet) adds water. That knocking sound is probably due to another loose pipe inside the wall. In addition, the bathtub spout, installed by Citron, is 1/8 inch away from the new tile wall which Citron's plumber filled with caulking. That tub spout pipe was also loose which is why Citron couldn't tighten it to the wall. I had to write a letter demanding that Citron correct all their mistakes before paying the final installment of $1700 out of a $7000 job. Citron refused to complete the job unless I paid them the final balance in advance. Ultimately, I hired another licensed plumber to finish the job, hook up my new kitchen sink and dishwasher, etc. An awful experience!
Unbeknownst to Citron and the customer, the job agreed to in advance ended up being an all day and into the night repair. The call center and dispatch clerks could use more customer service training and polishing. They are too quick to reply without empathy, and it is apparent that they just want you off the phone.
However, despite this, the head foreman at the office accommodated the situation and resolved the crisis very much appropriately at the end. It was a rough road of unforeseen circumstances in getting to the finish line but the end result was met. Eventually, the frustrated customer was understood and heard by the foreman. Getting to him was a chore as the clerical staff and call takers keep that gate tightly closed, which should not be the case. Ultimately, Citron did right at the end.
Sonia C.My super called them for an emergency repair in my bathroom while I was at work a few months back. The sloppy work done was the least of my problems. I came home to find that they had gone through and used items in my kitchen. Also they left plaster dust all over a jewelry armoire in my bedroom. I had to file a police report.
Fast, efficient, friendly, neat, on time and highly professional. I recommend this company if your looking for a satisfying experience.
These plumbers are crooks who overcharge. They did my addition on my house and put registers in the bottom of the radiators which never fit right and fall out all the time making noise and allowing dust inside. And in my walk in closet the put in baseboard heat which always leaves us cold. There are way better plumbers.
Lee H.A client of mine needed an emergency repair right before he left town for the Easter weekend. He called citron. They were responsive, reasonable, and I will recommend them going forward. Thank you citron for making a tiny job a priority. Roseann Boudreau-Grillo SFR, CDPE. Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, Scarsdale, NY 9143100636
