STAY AWAY!!! Do not call them. They originally installed a water heater and boiler in 2010, our water heater went out 2017 which still had a warranty. they came in to install the new water heater, which took ALL day over 9 hours!! and tried to charge us $1500 for the service. after some complaints explaining that they did not express that to us, they dropped the rate. while they were there all day they were soldering and fixing pipes, which they did not clean up at all, even depleting the pipes which was all over my floor! After a week, we noticed no heat in the upstairs, called them again, conveniently it was a ""part"" that needed fixing, which cost us another $200, this place is a JOKE!!!
I called Circle on 10/13/17 because, I had a leaking pipe. The next day a plumber was sent to make repairs. He end up fixing the leak on the indirect loop, replaced backflow valve, circulating pump that was not circulating and a flange that was spraying water. Overall it cost me $771.00. 3 days later 3:00 in the morning, I was awakening by my nephew to find out that there was another leak and it looked like the valve for boiler had failed. The hot water was pouring out. I called Circle and notified them that there was another leak and mentioned that the plumber was just here 3 days ago. The individual I spoke to mention that they will send someone first thing in the morning. I called my work and told them, I was going to be late that I was waiting for a plumber. I waited for a call and no one called and I finally called the Circle around 9:00 am and ask if they were sending someone, because that's what I was told. She said that they really don't have opening and would put me on the waiting list for the next day in the afternoon. I mentioned that would have been nice to know that and I could have gone to work instead of wasting my time waiting for nothing. I had to shut my hot water off until repairs could be made. I went to work and happen to check my camera outside on my phone, I noticed there was a Circle truck parked on my driveway. Immediately called my mom and she said they fixed the leak. She also mentioned and that she told the plumber to call me for the payment. First of all, I never got a call from the company that they were sending someone over that day. I didn't get a copy of the bill. Until 10/30/17, my mom came home from her house and handed me a bill from Circle. Apparently they sent the bill to my mother home. They have my address and phone number on the bill, and the work was performed on my house. I wrote a letter on 10/31/17 disputing the bill and letting them know that if the system had been properly tested the inoperative or poorly functioning fill valve and relief valve should have been caught. I got a call from their service manager the same day and he said he understood, but if the plumber would have caught the problem it would have cost me the same amount. He made it sound like they saved me a bunch of money. Even though they billed me 1.4 hours, which costs $162.50 and the material was for $129.00. If the problem was caught in the first place, I don't the labor would have costs me that much. I asked him why the heck they will send the bill to my mom address. He said doesn't know that's the billing department. They take limited responsibility and they don't guarantee their work. After what I experienced, I would not recommend them to my friends and family.
Esther J.I called Circle because my rental property had a leaking pipe. The next day a plumber was sent to make the repairs. He reported a pinhole. That same evening the tenant reported water pouring down like a shower. I called Circle immediately. The after hours plumber said he couldn't guarantee that he could make the repair and that I should call again in the morning. I did and the office said the plumber would be there between 10-12:00. He showed up at 2:00 and reported a one and a half foot split in the pipe and the need for a p trap for the upper level clothes washer. Repairs made. Then a couple of days later when the upper level tenant used the clothes washer the water began leaking again onto the lower level tenant. So, again (third time) a plumber was dispatched. He reported a 6 inch split in the pipe. He told me raw sewage poured down over him. I was horrified for him. He ordered a carpet cleaner to come. Later I discovered that it was never raw sewage but rather gray water and he was spoken to about saying raw sewage when he means gray water. Same plumber ordered a drain snake to be performed. In the end the leak seems to be repaired and all is good. I was in constant contact with the office about the billing etc... when the final bill was sent to me it stated after hour work was done when in fact there was never after hour work performed. Same bill stated that if I did not pay by the next day that the bill total would increase and I would be turned in to a collection agency. I called immediately to pay and was told that the sender of that email bill message had left early. I called the next day and was able to pay the bill. I explained that I am not used to receiving a first bill with threats of collection agency. It took three plumbers to make the repairs and then they treated me badly with the billing. I would not recommend them. So it turns out the plumber that finally stopped the leak failed to cap off the pipe. Over time stinky fumes started to emit from the repair area. The tenant was hesitant to report this to me as she is often late with rent and she was afraid of being a complainer. The stench eventually got so bad she finally had to let me know. I immediately had a drain cleaning company come over and he discovered the uncapped pipe. He capped it and resolved the problem. $135 bill. I sent the bill to Circle office staff. No reply. I left a message for Ken, the owner. No reply. They really should reimburse me for the $135 I had to pay for another company to cap the pipe that they should have capped. I feel bad for my tenant that she had to smell the stink.
Scott M.Take no responsibility for their work. Their service manager stated that they warranted parts they install (I asked if they warranted their ""work"" and he reiterated 'parts'). We have had five technicians here attempting to remedy issues that started from a simple check up on a WORKING boiler system (by their technician). The service manager says there was a massive air bubble in the system which needed to be drained (which he did). Several of the techs stated that the system bled air eliminating the need to bleed it. Additionally he believes a pump is failing but they bailed before making the repair which completed their 100% failure (probably their best decision). Top it off with zero customer service skills.
Circle was one of the only companies in town on call on the Sunday I lost my heat/hot water. They came and figured out what was wrong, but had to wait until Monday to get the part that was needed. Promptly here on Monday morning, Ed had my boiler up and running within the hour. Great experience with knowledgable professionals.
Kolby K.What a joke! Called and waited a week for these guys to come and give us an estimate for a gas line. The guy called and you could tell he didn't want to bother coming out. His words ""I just wanted to make sure you wanted me to come out because its going to be AT LEAST (amount thats $350 more than other competitor) and that is without me looking even looking at it."" I asked how they could be so different and his statement was that he doesn't make the pricing. If they knew the price they should have just told us over the phone a week ago. Rude service and obviously expensive pricing. Don't bother!
Called for a ""Free Quote"" as advertised on their web site. After I gave them my contact info. I was informed they charge $75 for quotes in Eagle River (about 20 miles from their office). Don't see any reason to ever call them again!
2014, needed a sump pump...too much water in the crawl space for him to set the pump. (he didn't want to get wet) I had to call Alkota to finish the job!
Joe B.Nice guy, but he was one hour late. Three small tasks and it took 4.5 hours to complete. 2.5 hrs. were booked as overtime. $200 per hour. And when he left we had no hot water. He had not re-opened the 3 valves and had not relit the heater. I discovered that around midnight, along with three small leaks so I had an early morning recall, obviously. Plumber #2 fixed the work and lied to my face about a part that I bought at Home Depot. He said they were no longer made. Eventually confessed to the fact that he just didn't have on it his truck.. They told me they would look into the excessive overtime charges. I am still waiting for that phone call.
Margie T.My heating system went out New Years Day 2013 - watering pouring out of it. I had replaced it approximately 4 years ago with another company (no longer in business). Circle Plumbing was the Carrier Certified Warranty repair for Anchorage. There was a crack in the heat exchange. I had no heat for 13 days!!!! It was during the coldest time in of year. Had to purchase 5 electric heaters so my house didn't freeze. Communication was scarce with return phone calls. 10 days into no heat I received a phone call from one of their employees who was trying to sell me a whole new system and said they didn't Install Carrier Systems because they are too much trouble. 3 Days later they got the part and installed and the heat back on! (When the Carrier was initially installed they was a serial number swap with another person who lived near my house. I called the main Carrier Dealer and they gave me the name of the person who's serial number I had. I contacted him and he had the exact same problem one year before.
