They don't know how to schedule appointments!

Wasted 1/2 day of vacation for an appointment, but they did not show. When I called, I was told the appointment was for the next day. I was not able to be home the next day so I made another appoint. Same thing happened. Twice they did not show for the scheduled appointment. There are way too many pest control companies in my area to trust them a third time. I DO NOT RECOMMEND CHURCH SERVICES FOR PEST CONTROL.

These people do lousy work, they take a three hour lunch then make you stay until 9 to finish their work because they won't come back. They put in the wrong socket and wouldn't fix it. There are much better service people around.

The wife called this coming to install a new a/c unit before we got married, they were after and did it within her budget. One year later we called them to to come and fix our a/c because it went out. I called they said they would bout around 5pm getting close to 5:15 no body has shown up or called. I called them and they said the tech called and since i did not answer he went to the next call! i told that BS my phone never rang. the tech showed up around 7pm! after check for over an hour he told us the expansion value was bad. I said ok can you fix it and he said not tonight had to order the part. HE said they would call he in the morning, (they open at 7:30) 8:30 i called them i was told they had to find the part they would call me soon. 11:30 i called again i was told they can't find the part, i talked to the manager Dale he said he would look in to it, he did not sound really to worried that my house was hot or that I had to sleep out side the night before, he replay was "O well"! He said he would call in a hour. 3pm I called the again! i was told they have call me & times since I had called and that my phone went straight to voice mail and they left message! that's BS because i got 4 calls in that time and never went to voice mail on any of them. They said the part was under warranty and labor was $93.00 per hour and he would be there around 4pm! 5:50 RAJ shows up FIRST WORDS OUT OF HIS MOUTH it will be $495 for this job,FIRST WORDS! we told him NO the part was warrantied and they said only labor, he got really mad about that and and started to complain about it, telling me some said story about how he hurt his finger and this and that. I told sorry about the finger please fix the a/c. He told me it was like a 5 hour job, i said the guy that came last night said 3 hours to replace the part!. He got pissed of at that, we called the office and told that Dale was going to call us back he NEVER DID! Raj milked the 3 hours but the a/C is fixed he tired to up sell us every thing he could while he was there! NEVER USE THEM. I need my coil replaced i will NOT be using them. I gave them 1 star because i could not pick 0 stars. THEY SUCK DO NOT USE THEM!

I came home on Tuesday July 14th @ 7:50pm to an 84 degree home and my new $10k unit of less that 45 days wasn't running. I called Church and they had the Service Mgr call me back at 8:29pm after they told me I had to pay $144 for the after hrs service call. The Mgr told me all the techs were out that night and wasn't sure they could get to me until the next day. I went to my neighbor Nathan Lazarine of Lazarine Heating and AC (Family owned and operated since 1977) and he came right over and discovered the fuse went out in the until. He replaced it and charged $125 for everything. When I spoke to Church the next day they said that shouldn't have happened and they would send out a tech and have a mgr (Dale) call me about reimbursement. I was even willing to split the cost with them. Two days lapsed and no call from Dale so I called back that Friday and he states he has been busy in the field and that's why he didn't call back. He told me to call Lennox myself to get reimbursed. So I call Lenox and they reported the complaint because they stated they Church knew that wasn't the correct process. I called Church back and was told a Frank would be calling me back about the issue. That was two weeks ago! NOTHING has happened! I will be letting Costco know about this issue with Church. So disappointed to know that this could happen so soon after purchasing a unit from them. Not happy at all!

I used this service on a weekend. They did the work but the pricing was way, way out of line. I will NOT use this service again. I did research and found the National pricing for this service at 100 and topped out at 400. They charged me 500 and then said they'd honor my coupon and "only" charged me 325. My regular AC company would have charge $150 for this service and that would have been a 200% mark up on parts. Again, they did the work...but priced it at 3 times the price another big company in the area would have priced it. The "final" discount price was over 3 times the national low price and more than 2 times over my normal AC company. However, after reading the reviews here I see the trend here is charging outrageous prices for services. Unless you are fond of spending money, I say, do some research and find a company that does the work and charges fair prices.

I live in Austin and have my house in Houston rented out. My tenants notified me that about once a day something was tripping the main breaker and they were completely losing power until they went outside and reset the switch. I called Church Services on 6/23/2015 to come out and do a diagnostic to tell me what was wrong. On the plus side I will give it to them that they were punctual and on time to the appointment scheduled and called in advance to let my tenants know they were on their way which is the only reason they are getting two stars and not one. That being said, the technician, Jeremy, performed the diagnostic and promptly called me when completed explaining that the main breaker was malfunctioning and I'd need a completely new panel and rewire to fix the problem to the tune of $2400. It's kind of like being at an auto repair shop and hearing a mechanic trying to tell you that you need a new engine when all that's needed is a new timing belt. Anyway, not being satisfied with the explanation and quick estimate given I contacted Thor Enterprises L.L.C. - Electrical Services who came out and conducted a diagnostic the next day. Danny Hixon from Thor came out and diagnosed the issue, notified me that the panel was fine and I'd just need a new main breaker, performed the repair by installing new parts that day, and all for around $350. Quite the stark difference in pricing and diagnosis, huh? I got a call from Church Services today, 6/25/2015 asking for a review of the service I received. I explained the situation to include the second diagnostic I received and the lady simply said "Okay, let me go over the bill with you" so I could pay for the diagnostic call. Before I got off the phone though she told me to keep Church Services in mind for all of my HVAC, electrical, and plumbing needs... almost like she hadn't heard a word I'd said. It actually made me laugh out load and I told her no thanks.

I had an AC/Heating problem -- both were coming on together and we didn't know it! Called Church's and Raj spent the time to figure this one out and get the right replacement parts. It took a couple of trips, but they got it done. I have been using them for years and it's great to have someone you can trust.

Church Sr. installed my complete system in 2008 and this is the first major repair I have had on the system. Alex arrived as he indicated on the phone, Informed me on the price to conduct a system test. After his testing he suggested the solutions and gave a complete estimate on time and price. I mentioned some constraints on my schedule and Alex suggested the calls I need to make, which I did. I spoke with all but one, the scheduler that day and followed up the next morning by business opening time to verify the parts and work schedule so I could adjust mine. All was agreed upon. I waited the day of repair without success. I called and a new person answered the call, assured me all was a go, but then the call came about 4pm that the repair would take about 5 hrs and other issues that just seemed to appear. (somebody in the office screwed up). They implied the Technician was to perform some additional duties for the parts and there wasn't enough time, they would have to schedule for tomorrow. I had to miss a corporate meeting, use another vacation day, and work backlog. I almost cancelled my 2k repair but I know I could trust Alex to get the job done. He arrived the next morning right on time did the work and a little extra which is the only reason I am staying with Church Services. The Tech's are the company representatives and should not pay the price for poor corporate communications. I would be embarrassed if my company dropped the ball on a repair they probably do on a weekly basis. Shame on them. Alex did a fantastic job, the house is cold. Thanks you Alex.

I usually have a guy I really trust to do my AC repairs but he wasn't going to be able to look at it today, so I began researching online for good companies that give free estimates when I found Church Services. Church services told me that they NEVER charge for diagnostic/estimates but I saw on their website they had a coupon for a free ac estimate/diagnostic. A red flag popped up in my head but thought maybe it was just a mistake made by whoever works on their website. The lady on the phone said that they could come today in about an hour and a half or so. It was better than what any other company could do so I took them up on it. After the guy came and looked at the AC unit he first told me the fuse box was loose from the wall (I don't remember it being loose before he came), he then showed how the wiring on the outside unit was well worn and needed replacing but when I looked at it, I noticed that it looked like it had been tugged on. I was a little familiar with HVAC work since I had assisted a HVAC guy during a summer job as a teenager. He told me that the unit was low on freon (down to maybe 2 lbs) due to a leak which we both agreed on. He then told me it would cost $280 to find the leak, $1026 if it was a coil (and again it was "both coils") in the attic, plus $120 for the first pound of freon then $80 for each pound after that. Our unit holds 10 pounds, so that could be around $840. This repair could come to a grand total of over $3,172 with other charges pending due to any other "repairs needed". The guy also told that they don't do payment plans or billing unless you call the company to set up an account pending approval. Unfortunately the office was closed because it after 6 when the guy showed up. My normal HVAC guy came the next day and after looking it over told me that wasn't the problem at all. Had the other guy decided to take his time and run the heat, he would have noticed that our unit was a heat pump and that it was not low freon or a leak but a bad valve... a bad valve that only cost around $140 to replace. If the other had gone ahead and put the freon in the system, it could have caused the coils and other components to break under excessive pressure from having DOUBLE the freon in the system. The lesson here is always opt for a second and maybe even third opinion and make sure that whoever checks your HVAC unit does so thoroughly to make sure he has has pinpointed the problem correctly. I could have paid at least $900 bucks only to have a very expensive repair or replacement AC job that would have been on Church Service's bill.

Last week I received a call about scheduling my heat and AC service checkup. Today I was scheduled for 12-5pm. I received a call asking if the technician could come earlier. When I agreed, he was at my house in 10 minutes. He was very professional, friendly, and courteous. Thanks Church Services and Jimmy Tate!
