Recommended Customer Reviews

Our air conditioner went out this past week. We called Church Services around midnight and were told a tech would come out for a $144 fee. We agreed to the fee and were told we would hear from a tech in the next two hours. We heard nothing. At 7 a.m. we called and explained the situation. The agent copped an attitude and told us they were just going through the messages from the previous night. She then told us a tech would be out between 1 pm and 6 pm. We then called another company (John Moore) and they were able to dispatch a tech by late morning. When we called Church Services to cancel the appointment we supposedly had, they could not find any service appointment for us. Church Services may have knowledgeable techs but their customer service agents are beyond inept.

After a 4th attempt to contact someone, I was finally called back. The people I spoke with were very concerned about my experience and admitted they were working on communication issues within the company. I don't think something like this will happen to me again with this company and I do believe they are going to address the problem within the company.
I'll try them again and see what happens

My complaints are similar to C.H. below.
I've used Church Services for nearly all of my home repairs and pest control for the last five years but after getting gouged on pricing again yesterday they've lost me as a customer.
Back in June of last year they charged me $400 to install an industrial sink in my garage. The job took less than an hour and about $25 worth of PVC pipe. When they (Spencer) called to do a follow-up survey I questioned him about the pricing and said I'd be looking around next time I needed a repair. Seeing how I was a longtime customer he offered me a complimentary P1 membership and a small discount on a shower pan repair to continue using their services.
Figuring all was good I had them out yesterday to repair a leaking faucet that consequently led to several repairs on my water heater. The charges were as follows:
$185 to repair the leaking sink.
$185 to replace two water heater flexes.
BUT THE REAL KICKER was the $385 to replace the pressure release valve on my 2007 Rheem water heater!
The technician warned me that the water heater could explode if the pressure release valve wasn't replaced. So, assuming it was an expensive part and a complicated job I went ahead with the repair. WRONG! A new release valve costs about $15 and it took around 30 minutes to do the repair, most of which was spent waiting for the water heater to drain. Fortunately I didn't bite on the $1200 40 gallon water heater he tried to sell me...
They've burned me for the last time and you'd be wise to avoid them too.

I don't usually write reviews like this but this is really bothering me right now.
I had a leaking shower in which it looks like the shower cartridge needed to be replaced. They charged me 315 to get it replaced and the tech offered me 5% discount that comes to a grand total of $299.25. That is very overpriced for me. The service was great and everything but something this small to charge me that much. They supposedly go by this flat rate book. It doesn't matter how small or big the issue is - the charge remains the same. That is stupid in my opinion.
Everyone please go to another company for your plumbing services.

I have used them before for plumbing and electrical work and was happy but I am not happy with my last encounter. The tech did a "electronic" scan to see where my freon had leaked out of the AC. I don't think he could find the leak and stated he had to recheck several times but came up with a leak outside near the unit. The freon to check the leak and the test were $388.00. He indicated we needed new equipment that did not take freon, it would be cheaper than fixing what we had to the tune of "thousands" of dollars. I hired another AC contractor, found the leak in the attic and replaced the copper tubing and we are good as new. I would not use their AC techs again.
UPDATE: I wrote them and their service manager answered and offered me a refund. This gets a 5 star in my book.

After installation it is impossible to get anyone to respond. What good is it for Church to go to a place and not communicate to the customer? After 6 calls over 2 weeks still no response. During install
technicians were professional. The after service has been anything but professional. Beware, do not use this company.

Their customer service department will NEVER call you back. On two separate occasions I have contacted them and never gotten a response. Do not waste your time with them.

While back I had a leaky washing machine faucet . The faucet was soldered to the pipe and it had to be cut off from behind the sheet rock, but instead of doing that the knuckle head kid plummer attached another faucet to stop the first one from leaking that looked very ridicules. After I called their office another crew came back , but they tried to charge me extra which I refused , but after they talked to their office they agreed to fix the faucet without charging us extra.

Should have posted this in August. During an energy check by Relaint this summer it was obvious that my hot water heater needed replacing ASAP. The contract company doing the inspection sent out the plumber and during his bid he said that I needed an additional drain out to the patio from attic(2 story TH) and an electrical shut-off near the water heater. The next company said the same thing but their bid was $700 higher (even the charge for the inspection varied). I see Church Services trucks in my area of town frequently and decided to call them. Kevin came promptly in the schedule time with calls to keep me informed of time schedules during bid as well as next day install. He came looked at everything and we sat down to go over the details. When I asked about the separate drain the 2 other said I needed ($695) Kevin sid that I was okay but went back upstairs to double check. He said that I was good and that I already had 2 separated hoses. They also had the lowest charge for the city inspection. One interesting note the first bidder said I didn't need to really have the inspector come out since he talked to him on the phone and said I would be good to go but if anything ever came up if I sold my TH the inspector would take care of it???? I realized the quick shut-off was not on the bid and called late the same day. The man I spoke to kept trying to put me through but since the line was busy said he would send him an email requesting a call back. The owner called about 7:45am saying he had just read my email. He assured me that everything would be done to code and if not they would come back to take care of it with no additional charge. Kevin and Jacob came to do the removal and install and the electrician came to do the disconnect durning that time frame. Very nice, fast and cleaned up the area. The kept me informed also that the City inspector would come Monday morning (install was Friday). Passed no prob. Kevin said he did leave off the cut-off from the bid but stayed with the bid he gave me. They come after a year to drain the heater and part of that trip includes checking my plumbing through out the townhouse. Everyoe I delt with was personable and knowledgable.

Our ac wasn't blowing air inside of the house but the outside unit was working so we call church one technician was here on time and he was nice but he didn't fix the ac we had to pay for the "service call" next day we call another company in less than 20 the other guy was done.
