Thank God for Christian Bros.

My A/C went out about 5pm one evening last summer. I called Christian Brothers but the tech wasn't able to get out until the next morning. We had to spend the night in a 90 degree house, but luckily Christian Bros was there the next morning at 8am. It took the tech about 15 minutes to figure out the problem and about 15 minutes more to fix it. He also showed me an an area on my unti that needed repairing and fixed that for me as well.

Prices were fair and the tech was great. I would definitely recommend them and use them again.

I have only two complaints: 1) Did not take before and after pictures. 2) My A/C did not go out before this incredibly hot year. Talk about night-and-day with the new system!!

It actually went out mid-October in the middle of the night. I knew it was the compressor on a 15 year-old system. Hoping it would last one more year before spending the $$. But I spent the next two hours researching who I was going to call and after reading all the reviews, decided upon Christian Brothers.

After Service came out and confirmed the worst, Ricky came out and I learned so much about AC systems. Too much to go into detail here, but let's just say he sounded like he knew what he was talking about. I told him they better give me the best deal possible because I am not made of money. So he showed me my options and I went with a whole new system.

I researched in great depth all that Ricky had told me, all of it was spot-on, and knew I was getting a good deal.

They came out and installed the system. The techs were very nice and I wanted to keep the old cement foundation, so they moved it for me. The system looks so nice and neat, but boy how much better it works! I have had the opportunity to use both the AC and the heat and just love it. It is quiet but yet has soft, forceful air. It is the perfect size for the house (I know because Ricky told me so and I researched all that).

I was just about to call them and ask how I go about getting the City of Austin rebate and next thing I know, received a check in the mail from COA. They did all the paper work.

My recommendation is for those that are thinking about a new system, do so now before the rebates expire and call Christian Brothers.

our AC had not been working well and one of the Christian Brother Techs came out and helped us so much. He was kind and gave us great advise about thoughts for the future of our AC.

They called late afternoon when we discovered the AC problem and had it repaired the next morning (in August 2011, no less!!). Good communication, and the repairman was very courteous and friendly.

I would definitely call them again for AC problems.

We went with Christian Brothers AC to repair our rental property's AC unit. We chose them based on recommendation and "reliability." They also offered to put in 2 window units at the property until the unit was repaired which was a nice "offer." Here is where it all goes bad... they showed up with only 1 window unit. The installers were supposed to be on site this morning at 8 AM. No show. Called CB at 9 AM and they said 11:30 now that they had run into some delays. No show. Called CB again at 12:00... they said it would be 12:45 now. No show. After a very heated conversation with CB they are now saying another hour. While speaking with the installer, Ricky, he gave me every excuse in the book. There are a lot of people without AC... their are elderly without AC... THEN DON'T OVERBOOK AND UNDER PROMISE!!! When you say you are going to be somewhere and people are missing work and not getting paid you should be on time, within the window of time, or call at that time and say when you will arrive. I will NEVER use them again for their service. I will advise others not to as well.

These guys were awesome. They were prompt and came in the exact time frame they said they would. The technician was friendly and helpful and wanted to make sure I understood how to keep up the maintenance on the unit. All around, I got really good service for a reasonable price. AC is so important in TX and I think feeling like you have a good AC tech is just as important has having a good mechanic.

We appreciated Marty's friendly and helpful manner AND that he quickly fixed the AC. Seemed genuinely interested in customer welfare on a very hot day in mid-June 2011.

Our A/C went out right at bed time last night. Well, we at least now know we can make it through one night in during an Austin summer without A/C. With that said, we didn't want to test a 2nd night. So, 1st thing this morning, I spent a good 30 minutes researching online A/C repair companies in Austin, and none of them came close to Christian Brothers from a ratings standpoint, both in terms of quality and quantity of ratings. This made it an easy choice as to whom to call, but also set the expectations pretty high.

To say the least, Christian Brothers delivered. Leland, the A/C repair tech assigned to our job, made it over this afternoon, and within 30 minutes had our A/C working again. Apparently, the little device that acts like the starter in a car but for the A/C had expired, but he had everything he needed to get it fixed. Although the house made it up to 91 degrees today, the temperature is steadily dropping!!!

In addition to getting the unit fixed quickly, Leland was very polite and professional. I also felt like the price was fair and affordable. I would recommend Christian Brothers to others, and will use them the next time we need A/C repair help. They do plumbing also, so now I know who I'm calling for plumbing work also.

They sent out a guy named Glen. He was quick, honest and direct. The AC was fixed for under $200 and Glen gave me bi-annual preventative maintenance tips I could accomplish myself. I was very impressed with the service from the initial call through the repair.

They sent a tech out named Marty and he gets five stars. He was a great guy, chased the problem down and wouldn't leave until it was solved. Completely restored my faith in the company. Have air conditioner, they didn't charge me for Marty's visit and they have a new happy customer. I will use them again. Not removing the original review because mistakes have consequences. I completely understand that it is summer, they have a lot of customers and things happen, but we all have to pay for our mistakes, right? .
