Very disturbing experience. The technician was very knowledgeable which I appreciated....the price quote was double the 2nd opinion we received. The company had no response when I asked them why the 'double' price difference. I will never call 'Christian' Brothers for anything again-lesson learned.

They gave me the run around all day long and kept telling me they were coming when they weren't. Finally when they did show up ; the guy that came was a total hustler, who tried to pad the bill with things that were not wrong with the system and promptly gathered up all his tools and wanted to scurry off when I told him I wanted another opinion. Don't trust this company. Terrible experience!!!!

Thanks to Chris Dickenson for coming out and knocking out our AC problem in no time at all. He was quick, friendly, clearly knew what he was doing and explained what parts were faulty. Three months ago, Longhorn came out and charged the same amount and our AC clearly wasn't fixed as we had the exact same problem pop up again. Longhorn also only guaranteed their work for 30 days. Christian Brothers guarantees it for 1 yr.

We had Christian Brothers replace our entire A/C unit about 4 years ago. While they weren't the cheapest quote (I am scared of the cheapest quotes!), they were the most honest and offered the most with their warranty at the time. They were on time, professional, and did a great job with installation. We have had them come out to service the AC since then and have had nothing but professional employees come out. I had to have them come out yesterday to update some things in the furnace closet so it would be up to code (per 3rd party inspector). Again, the guy was honest, friendly, and detailed. The only thing (and it's minor) is that the company charged $109 just to come out and review the inspection report. We ended up paying to have some things done (condenser coil cleaned and other things) and I assumed that the $109 would be deducted from everything else. Unfortunately, it was tacked on as an additional cost. Not a huge deal, but we also had a plumber and a roofer come out yesterday to review the inspection report (we're trying to sell our house) and they didn't charge a fee to review it. Seemed kind of like an expensive charge? Not sure what industry standard is, though...
Once again, a minor annoyance...

Company charges 69 diagnostic fee, but it's waived for any work. The tech came out, ran around and everytime I asked for estimates on the work, he sort of mumbled numbers here and there and was never really clear. Of course, he recommended a completely new unit instead of actually diagnosing the problem as a rusted drain pan. When I asked about just fixing that, he made it sound like getting a new drain pan would require and act of god and the labor would be so significant, I might as well just replace the unit. At the end, he asks for $170 and claims that's the charge for 'clearing the line' (something that he did in 5 minutes while he was diagnosing the issue). The tech never actually stated he was going to do work above and beyond the diagnosis before doing it. The tech was just shady and untrustworthy and I'll never be using this company again.

Like many before me, naturally the Summer season puts a huge stress on our AC systems and eventually 'ol reliable just needs some help. Of course, these situations bring up WAY too many Investigative TV shows and specials, and you think nothing but how badly you're about to be "ripped off". I really put a lot of faith in to Yelp reviewers because they have never let me down. But this...this is such a dicey situation to be in, you just never know. Well, it looks like my fellow Yelpers are holding true to their word...
So the outside "condenser" died out Monday late afternoon - caput - the fan wasn't spinning and no cold air was coming out through the vents. I did what I could, checked what I could check, but quickly realized this job was for the Pros. But just who to call? I decided to flip through the pages of the Community Impact magazine that I so look forward to getting each month - mostly for the food coupons. Saw a nicely-sized ad for Christian Brothers for AC service. Next turn, is to Yelp, to check on reviews. Seemed most fo the reviews were perfect - and that immediately set off bells-n-whistles that maybe the reviews were biased or the reviewers themselves were connected. Just the same - we get them out for an assessment, and we can always decide to proceed at that time.
Called them at about 5:15pm on Monday night, and Tuesday morning - BAM - they were there - just like they promised. Mature, clean-cut gentleman, in a uniform with a marked van. All promising signs. Gets to work quickly on the outside unit, and within minutes - literally minutes - he's telling my wife EXACTLY what was wrong and the parts needed to get things back up.
He performed the repair quickly and with no mess. Ended up being a very overworked and needing to be replaced capacitor. The Technician even left the part for me to see when I got home from work. Very smart!
The Technician went further to explain some of the wear-and-tear components to AC systems, what in ours appeared to be headed towards its' lifespan, and also the Service Plans available. There was absolutely NO pressure, so illogical "too-good-to-be-true" sales pitches, and that was that.
Christian Brothers definitely deserves recognition for their integrity and service. It is so hard to find Companies you can have faith in when the predicament definitely puts you at a disadvantage. Do your due-diligence, research the Companies out there. But definitely consider Christian Brothers should you need service.

I was a bit disappointed in my service call from Christian Brothers. My air conditioning wasn't cooling properly, and I did some yelp research to find a company to come out and help me. I settled on Christian Brother's after reading the reviews. I guess I got unlucky.
I'll give them two stars, since they did come out they day I called. But, that was about the only positive part of the experience. The technician immediately complained about the amount of time it took to reach my house. Then, after some troubleshooting, he wrote a simple invoice: $450 to fix the system. There was no breakdown of parts/labor, or anything like that. Just a line that said, "$450.00 to replace valve." I paid the $69.00 service charge and decided to just eat it and find another company.
The next day, another company came out and detected that my thermostat in the house was actually broken. I wanted to order a nicer thermostat than what the technician had on stock, so he loaned me the one he had, and just asked that when my new one came in that I call him and give this temporary one back! Total bill (including recharging the coolant... $105.00!
System has worked fine since then.
Sorry Christian Brothers, but this is not the service I was expecting from having read the other reviews.

So very disappointed. THe guy that came to look at our upstairs air unit, replaced a transformer, then realized that it was something throwing the transformer. He walked around for a couple hours with the phone to his ear calling people. The longer he stayed, the more the price changed. By the time he left, nearly $700. The invoice shows no explanation of what he actually did. Very vague, and he didn't explain anything about why it was so much. How do you know when you've been ripped off?

This is a great company! I called and got same day service. Chris came and examined the ac unit, then gave me 3 options. He was very professional and helpful.
I will surely ask for Chris when I call again for service.
Good job. Chris!!!!

Summer, summer time brings on the heat. No time is a better time to find your AC repair buddy.
We hired Christian brothers to look at the AC unit for our rental house. Everything went smoothly, from the initial call to the final bill. The service was excellent. The price seem reasonable. They came when they said they would, fixed the problem, and I paid using my credit card over the phone. The itemized bill was emailed to me a couple days later as promised.
What I like about Christian Brothers is that they didn't pressure me into replacing all kinds of other parts. It's an old unit so I'm aware that parts will need to be replaced. They got the AC working, my tenants are happy, and I can spend the money saved on new shoes!
