We called Steve early on a Saturday morning after our fire sprinkler was accidentally broken and sprayed water all over our apartment. Steve was at the house within a few hours, replaced the sprinkler, and turned the water back on. We really appreciated his quick and professional service. He also gets high marks for being a Golden State Warriors fan!

This guy is nice enough and prices are fair, but he severely scratched my toilet when he snaked it (see pics). I mentioned it to him and he just kind of mumbled something, not really taking any responsibility or apologizing.

Then he snaked my upstairs bathroom and broke a pipe, which resulted in water running all over the bathroom floor and water pouring out the light fixture in my kitchen downstairs.

Basically just a half ass attempt at service. You get what you pay for...

I called him one evening, he asked me to send him pics of the damage, he came out the next morning and provided me with a quote and that evening his team showed up and took care of the problem. Highly recommend these guys. I called at least 10 companies all with outrageous prices to reinstall a toilet I took out to redo our floors. Some $300 for about an hour worth of work.

I happened to be walking by Chung Wah in my neighborhood and met the manager Steve. He was able to give me a fair price and had his guys finish reinstalling in less than an hour. Highly recommend them. Efficient and fair.

My mother-in-law lives in the Richmond District, and her water heater stopped working on Sunday. The pilot light would not stay lit. I called Chung Wah first thing on Monday morning. They replaced the thermocouple and had it fixed by noon. Great service and reasonably priced.

I've used Chung Wah Plumbing for the past 12 years. They initially helped me with a major remodel, and subsequently with several smaller plumbing tasks along the way. Their employees are hard working and competent. Steve (their boss) is knowledgeable and responsive. Their hourly rates are comparable to other plumbers but the Chung Wah job will cost less because they work super fast. Why? Because they're busy and need to get to their next job. If you want to experience Asian work ethic, hire them and watch them work!
