Had a slow leak on the water main just inside the house. Jared was able to come within less than 2 hours and fix it. $85 labor fee plus parts. Good prompt service and good fix. Efficient and courteous work

I have used Christian's Plumbing for a number of smaller jobs at my rental properties. I have always been happy with Jerrod's prompt and courteous service. His prices are quite reasonable, too.

The good: Mr Christian provides free consults to determine the problem. He also did good work for a friend of mine in Johnstown.

The bad: if you're from out of town remember that Mr Christian runs his business unlike plumbers in other cities. he wont accept credit cards over the phone. He may not immediately report on the problem.
And he doesn't appreciate phone calls at 8:10AM Saturday morning.

Background:. I called Mr Christian on a Monday asking him check out a leak in the first floor rental space of my 70+ year old Mom's house. He may have done work in the house before, but I'm not certain. I was on vacation in FL. He replied that he would arrange with our rentor to visit. He also told me he would not accept credit cards over the phone as he'd been burned by this before. I told him I'd arrange to compensate Johnstown friends for paying him.

Two days later I learned after asking that he arranged to visit Friday. I return from vacation to my home in VA. Friday came and went with no word. (I subsequently learned that it was Mr Christian's schedule, not the renter's, which precluded a wait until Friday.)

For better or worse I decided to call Mr Christian at 0810 Saturday morn. After making it clear that my early Saturday call was unwelcome, he told me what the leak problem was, and that he didn't do the type of work required to fix it.

Thus, yes, the consult is free. But it comes with a price, in this case five days of wait plus indignation at pursuing him for info.
