We had a problem with our heater in November, it just didn't sound right. The service man was nice, understanding and I thought the charge was reasonable. He reminded me that our heater was getting old and we should think about replacement. I don't disagree, but a month before Christmas? Somewhere around the 23rd or 24th of December I received an ""invitation"" to become an Advantage Plan Member, with exclusive benefits. The offer was good through 12/31/19. I put the letter away until after Christmas (6 days). On 12/31/19, I found the letter and called the number highlighted on the letter at 3:05pm. Normal Tuesday business hours. The call was answered by their answering service. Very nice woman, said they would return my call on Thursday. Thursday came and went. Friday came and went. No return call. Saturday I emailed them. Very nice Sarah called. She wanted to acknowledge my concerns. The benefits of enrolling by 12/31, were $20 off, 1 winner of free HVAC system, 10 winners of free plan, up to $252, and free $30 future service repair voucher. By not being open on the 31st, I was eliminated from the two drawings that were most important. On Monday, the 6th, I received a call offering me $20 off the plan and a $30 future service discount. He was quite proud of himself for his offer. The fact that they were closed, I suggested for the week, and had no intention of be honest, and their web site offers $20 off a plan through 1/31, and $25 off a service repair, he proudly offered $5 for setting a date (12/31) to include benefits and not honoring those benefits (being closed). When I said I would put the review ""out there"", he instructed me to state that I had from the November date to purchase the plan, he did not state it included the other benefits of a drawing. And there was no letter attached to the November offer. He also stated that other customers received the offer throughout the year, not just a letter dated 12/20. I was made an offer, I never had a chance at, he knew the 31st they would be closed and too late. Be careful, is $5 worth being treated like you are stupid and not being given the same opportunity as others? I hope the 11customers who ""won"" know how lucky they are.
Price gougers!!! They charged me $1300.00 to replace a AC coil that was covered under warranty on my less than 5 year old ac unit that they installed for me. It took 2 1/2 hours to replace the part. That's $520,00 an hour for labor. What a disgrace! They should be ashamed! I understand people should get paid for their expertise and knowledge but this is so wrong.
Look out for that flat-rate! When a line item accompanied by a part number is listed at $400+ and you actually find that exact part for $40, there is something wrong. Do your research before you accept the service. In this case it could have saved me over $400. Oh and don't try to ask for a breakdown of your bill because apparently that's impossible.
gil l.Stay far away as they will try and RIP you off. The technician spent half the time on hold with sanyo, he put on the paperwork the needed repairs on my sanyo AC. Except it's a Samsung. After multiple calls they tell me in addition to the $100 they need another $412 to change a couple wires. The wires cost less than $50. Dan explained how they have marked Van's and uniforms and gas and insurance to pay for. Its called business but he doesn't have to make it all on me. I can lamoat replace the whole system for that kind of money.
Christian has been our go to for going on 10 years now. Techs are friendly, courteous, & clean. Office staff is friendly and does their very best to work with my schedule. No one likes to have to be without A/C on 90 degree day, but Christian will go above & beyond to make the experience as painless as possible.
Leonard M.This company was trusted by my home builder to install my HVAC unit when my home was built 16 years ago. Since then I've trusted them to make sure my unit keeps the house cool and comfortable. My service contract gives me needed tuneups so I haven't ever been without service.
My units been making noises the last week so yesterday I called to schedule an appointment for this morning. I got a call from the tech 20 minutes before my appointment to confirm he'd be right in time. Over the years I've never had one time these guys were late. The technician Scott Oliveras came out and put on booties to protect our carpets and hardwood floors. He should me on my unit exactly what the issue was and the best cost options for the repair. He was courteous, professional, and cleaned up behind himself like he was never there. His service was so good I took a picture with him. If you get Scott tell him Leonard said hi. I'm a Realtor and have seen lots of HVAC companies but these guys are the ones I recommend to my clients.
New furnace and a/c
Starting with the salesperson and ending with the installation, this was a pleasant experience.
The salesperson was not pushy. The installers were on time, efficient, neat, clean. They were very respectful of my property, wearing booties in my house and using drop clothes on my rugs.
Upon completion, they showed what they installed. They explained the functions of each and encouraged me to ask questions.
I would recommend Christian HVAC without hesitation.
Please note - this is the first negative review I have written - EVER.
We live in Upper Bucks and had a no heat situation on a Sunday. We called the answering service to schedule a service call. We provided all of our information and we soon got a call back and spoke with a technician. They gave us a range of morning times for our appointment the next day (Monday) and indicated we would get a call to fine-tune the arrival time of our technician.
On Monday, after staying home in a cold house for half a day with no phone call or technician showing up, we finally called the office. We were told that we are outside of their service area. The receptionist was rude and unconcerned with our predicament or the possibility that the scheduling of our service call might have been mis-handled or even mis-communicated.
The 'hooray for us - the hell with you' treatment we received is contrary their advertising and logo. We have wasted half a day of work and we still have a cold house are no closer to having our heat fixed.
Please consider our experience if considering this company for any work.
Just a strong word of warning to anyone considering using Christian Heating & Air Conditioning. Do not let their name fool you, as they are one of the most deceitful companies I have done business with in Bucks County. I have been a customer for over 12 years, and trusted them to have a replacement heat pump installed by them.
Shortly after the installation, I received a letter from the company informing me that the installation technician was a convicted felon and that I should not let him back into my home. I was surprised that they did not do any background checks on their new employees, but gave them the benefit of the doubt, and called them again last month to repair a low voltage wiring short that blew the control fuse, leaving me with no heat when temperatures outside were in single digits after the New Year.
The technician arrived and replaced the 25-cent fuse, but was unable to locate the wire short causing the fuse to blow. I was charged $275. but 13 minutes after he left, not surprisingly the fuse blew and again I was without any heat. I immediately called back the dispatcher and was told I would get a call right back. After waiting 45 minutes, I again called the dispatcher who said, ""Really? You never received a call back? I will try again."" Shortly thereafter, I received a call from a manager who told me it was too cold to come back out that evening, and I would need to schedule a return call in the morning. I guess it wasn't too cold for me to be without heat.
Almost 24 hours after the original call, the same technician returned the next night and apologized for not properly diagnosing the low voltage short the previous day, and quickly found a rub-through on the insulation of a small wire in the outdoor unit. I was charged an additional $284, a total of $559. for a 25-cent fuse and some tape wrapped around the wire that wore through the insulation due to vibration from the original faulty installation.
When I discussed with the technician regarding the previous day's payment to ""diagnose and repair a low-voltage short,"" I was told he was just doing as instructed and I would need to speak with Bruce the following morning. When I called the office, I was put on hold and asked questions several times by the receptionist, but Bruce would not get on the phone with me. I was told that he would ""look into it and get back to me."" Needless to say, after many weeks I am still waiting for that return call.
If this is how loyal, long-term customers are treated by Christian Heating & Air Conditioning, I think the term ""Customer Service"" is no longer present in this company's priorities, and has been replaced by their dishonest business practices.
This companies pricing is all over the place. Had them out to look at a humidifier. After 1/2 hour of work the tech say's all is OK just a broken wire. Three hours later it stopped working so out came another tech. He told me I needed a new controller. This Aprilair system is only 2 years old so controller is under warranty. Christian charge me $275.00 to replace the part and do paperwork for the warranty plus the $175.00 for the tech that did not fix anything in the first place. So now I have payed $450.00 to replace a $100.00 part that is under warranty. Does that seem a bit much to you? It does to me. This controller had 4 wires to hook up. I am very disappointed with their service.
