Today we had a great experience with this company, Our furnace took a major dump last night. My wife has medical issues and needs her heat, I spent 25 years working in this trade but put away my tools years ago because of my own medical issues. I'm still working but not in this trade. Steve came out on schedule today and it was a pleasure watching him work using his diagnostic skills and meter to diagnose the problems our furnace had. He is a technician and not a ""parts changer"" like too many heating techs are. You know the ones I'm talking about. I used to work with a bunch of them. Just keep on changing parts until something works with out diagnosing the problem because they don't know how. He also went way out of his way in going back to his shop after hours to find a PC board for our furnace so that my wife could have heat tonight. His politeness and customer service skills made it a pleasure to have him in our house. Thank you!

needed to replace supply connection for washer. They sent someone out and he said he would have to cut the copper so the wall would need to be opened up. They charged an extra $250 just to cut a 6"" square in drywall!!!! Really?? Then they did not even brace the pipe to studs.
Do not call these guys!!

We've done business with this company in the past, in fact Chris Wilson himself serviced our furnace. Everything went well so we thought we would receive the same service from them this time around. We were very wrong! Just as others have said, their customer service is extremely lacking! I called them on a Wednesday before a holiday weekend and they said they would come out on Thursday between 1-3. The tech didnt arrive until almost 5pm, which is understandable, but he spent less than a few minutes making his diagnosis of our problem, and he said we would need a new furnace. He told us that tomorrow is his day off (friday) so he would have the owner call us with a price the following day (friday). We received NO call, NO follow up! We then called and got a female who said she would relay the message, but the whole day passed and we still never received a call! Saturday we also heard nothing, Sunday was New Year's day, Monday was the observed holiday (not friday mind you) still heard nothing. We thought for sure we would hear hear from them on Tuesday. We were wrong, we had to call them, and we were once again told someone would get back us. Finally, at the end of the day on Tuesday, the original tech that came out called us back and gave us a price. We have been without heat WITH A BABY for over a week! This company could literally care less! Do yourself a favor and stay away from this company, unless you plan on going without heating or plumbing for a very long time!!!

Steve Thornhill at Chris Wilson's Plumbing is so great. They always do an amazing job. Completely restored my 50 year old pipes. Lived here practically for 6 weeks on a renovation job. Highly recommend !!! Trustworthy beyond the call of duty!

I have used Chris Wilson Plumbing for several years and am always pleased with the job they do. Their technicians are knowledgeable and I have never had to wait for service. I appreciate that they will come on the weekend for an estimate. The job site is always clean after they leave. My only concern is that they may be charging much more than their competitors. Because I know the quality of their work, I will still call them first!

After our furnace broke while on vacation, Chris was able to cheaply and solidly get us back up-and-running. His service was prompt, honest, courteous. and professional.

They advertise 24-hour service. When we called around 10pm on a Friday, he was the quickest to call back but unfortunately was on other service calls and unable to come before the next afternoon. It was worth the wait. We also called another 24-hour service company who was able to come out that night; they offered a quote that was fair but would not be able to order anything for a few days (weekend).

When Chris came mid-day Saturday, he was prompt, courteous, seemed very knowledgeable, and came to the same conclusion as the other company. However, after a brief trip to his office, he came back with a slightly-used (barely-used) inducer motor that was a perfect fit. Though he couldn't offer a warranty for it, his solution was same-day and at less than 1/3 of the competitor. Though our 20yo furnace may not have many more years in it, I feel comfortable that his work extended its life without needing to spend over $1k.

These people are far too expensive for their work and I don't trust what's going on because within a two year period, they have changed the circuitboard in my forced air heater three times! Each time they order a brand-new one and it costs me between $650-$750 per time. This seems very fishy, and I would not call them first ever again. After they left, my thermostat was flashing that the filter needs replacing and when I called the same man back one hour later& he refused to come out and take a look at the filter, even though it cost me $750. I think it should've been done on the front end.

I was never contacted by Chris Wilson Plumbing after I posted my Yelp review. I guess their motto is ""Take the Money and Run"".
I finally decided that maybe I should try someone who installed solar hot water systems. I requested consultations from 2 local companies I found online and, in spite of asking twice, didn't hear from either one of them.
Then I called the guy who had replaced the recirculation pump in the system. I knew he was retired, but I tried the number on his sticker on my solar storage tank. The number went through to Andy at Santa Cruz Solar.
The guy who had retired was terrific and I figured he most likely wouldn't leave me with a roach, so I talked with Andy. I described the problem over the phone. Andy told me that it sounded like the check valve (which prevents backflow in the recirc system) wasn't working. He told me how to test that. I reported back that I couldn't find a check valve in the recirc system. I had *specifically asked* Chris Wilson Plumbing several times if it might be the check valve. They looked at the only one they could find, which was NOT in the recirc loop, and said it 'seemed' OK. They never looked for or found the one in the recirc line, which was very close to the pump AND to a place in the system where they actually worked. They didn't know what they were looking at!
So Andy and his son came over. It WAS the check valve, a tiny fitting-appearing thing which had stuck open (they found after they got it off). Andy replaced it with a $60 solar check valve which is attached with unions at either end, so it can be easily removed for cleaning and inspection. 1.5 hrs of work (they had to make some bends to fit the larger, new check valve into the space where the tiny one had been) and $219 (INCLUDING the $60 part!) later my problem is FIXED completely. Fast, reliable, accurate, friendly, helpful... where do I stop. Call Santa Cruz Solar!!!
