I want to give my highest recommendation for Chris Walton Sr. Plumbing out of New Egypt, NJ. For the past year and a half we've had a weird intermittent plumbing issue. During that time he or an employee have been to the house three times. Each time, between the time I called and when they showed up, things would start working properly again. So they would try to diagnose the issue based on my description and do what seemed to be appropriate, and things would be fine for a while but eventually the problem would recur.

So yesterday he showed up with an expensive piece of equipment to properly diagnose the issue, and having done so, brought in another expensive piece of equipment to fix the problem. He was there for over two hours, and along the way, he mentioned what he normally charges for use of that equipment because of what it cost him. I was OK with it; I was just happy to have the problem finally fixed.

But when he was done, he said that he wasn't happy about the past ""misdiagnoses"" and I shouldn't have to pay for them, and he ended up charging me about a third of what I was expecting. When I offered to meet him halfway, he said, ""Sorry, I've already entered it into the system, nothing I can do.""

I can't promise that you'll get price breaks like I got on this occasion, but I can promise that you won't get ripped off, and that you'll get excellent service.

Walton's is a small, but very competent plumbing company. I had a water heater installed and a bunch of those 'I'll get a plumber in here someday' projects that they finished off well. Chris Sr. came by to inspect his son's and their employee Bob's handiwork. Sr. also did some touch-up work, since he seems to be a perfectionist. His prices are fair, they leave the work areas clean, and he and Jr. and Bob are very pleasant fellows.

Called a bunch of plumbers to schedule some repairs between Christmas and New Years. This was the only one that could come that week. In fact, they scheduled me for the very next day.

They called in advance, came early, looked at my issues, explained what needed to be done and provided the estimate. One of the items was not a plumbing issue and it was thoroughly explained to me.

The work was done in a little less than 90 minutes.

The plumber was friendly, efficient, clean and checked the work he did one more time before leaving. The cost was very reasonable.

I will absolutely use them again and I recommend them to you.

This is a father and son business - today the father came to my house - I needed my furnace checked for the winter and my filter changed. I also needed an estimate for a new hot water heater. He was a very nice gentlemen and his prices were fair. As a women, you always feel ripped off - not in this case. I will certainly call him back to install a new hot water heater and in the spring I will call to have my a/c checked. 5 stars for sure - highly recommend calling them !!!!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! These dudes are amazing! I called last minute because my boyfriend and I's basement flooded because of our pump for our washer. He immediately put us in for the earliest appointment next day, being we called them 10minutes before they were set to close. And being a small business owner myself I know how frustrating it can be to have people ask for you to stay late or come early after already working a solid day.

It's a family company and so the son arrived on time the next morning quickly assessed the issue and told me what the issue was. I was nervous it was going to cost me my soul but it ended up being insanely reasonable and he finished it with the hour.
