Chris is an honest, knowledgeable, and dependable plumber. I have found him very responsive with a can do attitude, and he's exceedingly polite. His fees are more than fair and it's a true pleasure to do business with him.

I had a puddle of water at the base of my hot water heater and because of it's age and the location of the water, I assumed that it was ready to be replaced. I quickly did some research on hot water heaters and certified plumbers in my area and read positive reviews on Chris Collins Plumbing. I called Chris and told him our issue and placed an order for exactly the hot water heater that I wanted. He arrived a few days later with the hot water heater on his truck and ready to install. Chris was great to talk to and gave me some lead time so I could travel home from work to meet him. He arrived and fully examined our hot water heater and the puddle on the floor next to it. After a full inspection, Chris noticed a tube that was not fully connected on the condenser to our furnace which sat in close proximity to our hot water heater. Chris reconnected the tube without issue and suggested we wait until the morning to see if we had any further water around the hot water heater. Luckily we did not and we had a huge savings from putting in a hot water heater when it wasn't needed. Undoubtedly there are many who would have installed the hot water heater based on its age without doing the full research that Chris did. Not only did he save us the expense of the hot water heater and installation, he didn't charge us a service call. Chris is as honest a professional as they come. He is knowledgeable, friendly and fair. Not that I'm looking forward to replacing our hot water heater in the future but it I know I will be going with Chris when we do!

Chris and another gentleman came by my house twice to fix a leaky shower head in my downstairs bathroom. The first time he came by to see what exactly was leaking. He didn't have the part I needed, but gave me a great tip that since it is a Koehler part, that they (the company), would send a replacement free of charge along with free shipping. Chris provided the part number, and telephone number. The next day I called, and sure enough--they did just what he said. When the part arrived, Chris and his coworker came by, replaced the part, and cleaned up after themselves. He charged me a fair price too. Really nice guys! I highly recommend them!!!

Reliable and friendly professional licensed plumber. Chris just fixed an older toilet that we wanted to keep and installed a new bathroom vanity - he did great job at a reasonable price. I've also used his services several times over the past few years to unclog drain pipes and fix leaks. Highly recommend.

Responded promptly to an email. We had a leaky faucet. A local company came, didn't try to repair it, and told us we needed to buy a new one for $500 plus. It turned out it was a Delta product, which is guaranteed for life. Delta sent me the parts, Chris fixed it inexpensively. Will definitely call him from this point on

Good plumbers are hard to find. Chris is a good plumber.

I know squat about pipes. Hot water heaters are a mystery to me. Drains I kind of understand, but I tried to snake one once and it was a disaster. For plumbing needs, I call a plumber.

The first plumber I tried came from one of the local Best of the Capital Region polls. And they were fine. But I didn't really like that the fellow who came out to look at the job and the fellow who came out to do the work were different people. Yes, I realize this is how a lot of home service companies work, and probably most consumers are fine with it. I'm fine with it too. I just like Chris better.

Every time I've had to call on Chris, he could have taken me to the cleaners. Each problem had a potentially very expensive fix. But every single time, either through hard work, sheer determination, or just a keen eye, he's been able to get me out of the jam for much much less.

When we left the area for a few months and had a family renting our house, I knew that I could call Chris and he would take good care of them. And he did.

Most recently, we thought our water heater had died. We were prepared to buy one from him. But he told us there was nothing wrong with the heater. The problem was the circuit breaker box. But he knew a good electrician that he trusted. When a person of integrity give you a recommendation, it's wise to listen. And his electrician was fantastic.

Prices are reasonable. Service is great. He's a friendly guy. Deeply knowledgeable. Dependable. Trustworthy. Really, I can't say enough good things.
