Chihuahua Plumbing is great! Paul and Anthony are awesome, and know what they are doing. They are efficient and don't charge an arm and a leg. Another plus is that they will get the job done right then and there. No need to reschedule after getting a fair quote. Chihuahua Plumbing is my go-to for all of my plumbing needs. Highly recommend them!

Anthony was on time and solved my slow sink drain quickly. Also, he noticed that my water wasn't running very fast through the faucet so he cleaned the aerator. The hard water here in San Diego seems to clog them up. This is a family run business.

I bought a new-to-me condo with an old water heater, and part of the deal was a credit to replace it and modify the original, obviously-cost-cutting installation to bring it up to code. There were about four other trivial things I wanted done on the same trip as well.

Chihuahua was on the advice of a realtor, and while not the cheapest, they're a family-staffed, small business, and I discussed some water heater options (replace tank or do more expensive tankless water heater).

Anthony was knowledgeable about the code requirements and what would and wouldn't work, and was honest that they'd never installed the newest version of the tankless water heater that would work without additional venting requirements. I chose the old-fashioned tank.

After the water heater was installed, I inspected it and asked ""Where's the (quoted) drip pan?"" and saw the realization of the error on his face, but he politely and apologetically asked if we could schedule a follow-up visit at no charge. We did; it was done perfectly.

And on the subsequent visit, there was some more work to be done that I requested, but the final bill was cheap enough that I don't think he charged me for the visit at all.

Anthony was also honest about the threads on a shower valve being (previously) stripped and suggested it might not be worth the time/effort to fix the issue (rather than working for extra hours just to add revenue, as some would).

I don't know who the previous Yelper talked to that impatiently sent them away, but I'm happy to say that this wasn't my experience at all!

This company should be avoided. I asked them to provide me with a simple bid on real plumbing work, not just a simple clog and they said 'find someone else'. Without any explanation or anything.

With so many other options why bother.

Reliable company
I own several rentals, and I found Chihuahua plumbing to be fast responding, friendly, efficient and reasonably priced. The kind of company I call when I am on the other coast to get something fixed for a tenant, without fearing for bad surprises or extravagant billing. Definitely a good contractor to have in your contacts list.

Thank you for fixing the bathroom. I wasn't home but my family was and we are all happy the bathroom is fixed. The sink and toilet needed fixing. The guy was nice and he even got to meet my chihuahua dog.

I have used this company a few times in the past and they always get the problems corrected in a timely manner. The end product is done extremely good and last, also, the quoted costs of the job is pretty much what you end up paying (barring any unforseen problems if they have to dig underground to find the problem, the cost could be more) and it's very reasonable. This company does not try to sell me extras that I don't really need so they can make a buck. I highly reccomend this company to anyone looking for reliable, honest plumbers.

This company may have named themselves after a yippy, annoying dog. That's where the resemblance ends. After all, this is a PLUMBING company. This is NOT the kind of company I really relish doing business with; does anyone?!

Five years ago, we remodeled our kitchen, and Chihuahua Plumbing did the waterworks part of the job. A couple of years ago, we installed a gas fireplace in our house; again, the same company came out. Oh, and the time our son backed up the shower in his bathroom? Chihuahua Plumbing to the Rescue!

So, fast-forward to this past week. My kitchen sink was backed up, but after a couple of days of gingerly usage, all seemed well. I started a load of laundry, and when it spun out, all of a sudden I heard a large ""burp"" in the kitchen, and lo and behold, the sinks were full of black, disgusting water. Oh, No! What to do?! Fortunately, with a name like Chihuahua Plumbing, I can easily remember this company, so 2 hours later, we had a plumber in our house, and within one hour, and $95, my emergency was over.

All I can say, is thank God for plumbers when you need them. And thank God for unusual, quirky names that make it easy to recall said plumbers. They truly are a godsend when you need them....and let's face it, it takes a special person to do that kind of work! Thank you, guys, for being fast, efficient and affordable.
