Very quick turnaround for adding a new shut-off valve to my home. They came out within an hour of my initial call. The work was done in a short time and it was done well.
I would recommend them.

Buyer Beware!!! If you have a gas leak at your house I strongly recommend you use someone else. They charged me 600+ dollars to find the leak and after only spending a few hours at the house said they could not locate the leak and wanted another 600+ to come again to try to locate it. They also quoted me 18 thousand dollars to fix the problem when they did not know where the leak was. I called another company instead who was able to locate the leak in less than an hour for under 300 dollars and quoted me 1200 dollars to repair it. To top it off the plumber had an unprofessional attitude towards me. When I told him I was upset about paying 600 dollars for him to come over and locate the leak and he couldn't do it how could he charge me another 600 to come over again to finish the job he was paid to do in the first place. He told me that was the nature of their business and that's just how they work. My overall experience with this company was terrible and I feel completely ripped off. Buyer beware!!! Complete ripoff!!!

In November of 2014 I called around for someone to fix an outdoor broken pipe which met with the city pipes and also needed a shut off valve so I could turn off all the water without going out to the sidewalk and using the city shutoff. This involved digging and exposing the pipe and the landscape irrigation man I hired swore he could fix it ""no problem"" even though I emphasized several times that it was the main water line. Are you sure you can fix it. No problem said Hans Smith. I had another plumber out and he told me he only worked inside the house and I needed to hire a landscape plumber. When Hans Smith's hired guy dug up the pipe Hans looked at it and said ""Oh no this was not something he could do""! I would have to call a plumber for that, and then he would install the water faucet I used to have on that line! Chick's Plumbing said they could come within an hour and arrived in a short while. He charged me $368.00 and took less than 30min. to finish the job. They replaced the pipe with 1 inch copper and installed a shut off valve. The order said tested O.K. I could not believe what a hurry the man was in to pick up the check and leave. After that Hans Smith had his hired guy bury the pipe and then added a water faucet on for me and his guy weed whacked the grass near the old pipe site a bit. Hans charged me $470.00! All together I paid $838.96. I had to use credit cards because I had no available money. I'm an older single woman. Hans said, you'll just have to cut back on some of your dinners out (What dinners out, I thought). Here is the clincher. When my kitchen water faucet broke and started spurting water all over the kitchen a little over a year later, I confidently went out to turn off the house water supply at the shut off valve. It didn't work and I had to call someone to shut off the water at the sidewalk location. I had another plumber come out to see why the shut off valve didn't work. He cut the whole thing out and replaced it and showed me how it was installed backwards and that is why it did not work! Also, before they came, I had called Chick's first to say that it didn't work and the lady who answered said they could NOT fix it without charging me again because it had been over a year! But how would I know it didn't work when he said he tested it and I had no reason to use it until there was a need to turn off the house water. I will never call Chick's Plumbing again nor will I use the services of Hans Smith.

I would give Chick's Plumbing a minus 5 stars if I could. I spent just under $1,700.00 to clear a main line sewer backup. Their tech Danny was full of promises while doing the job but when it came to the end result absolutely NOTHING was resolved. I called and talked to the owner Chris Edmondson and was told there would be an additional charged for them to come back out and look at it again. Called another plumber, spent under $300.00 and have NOT had a problem since.

Chixs plumbing went out to our building, claimed to fix our clogged pipes and left with a clog still in place. These people did not fix the issue! they billed more than double what their competitors do. when queried with a Better Business Bureau complaint they failed to respond. It appears this is a common practice with them.
This plumbing outfit is a typical scam operation and I would highly advise avoiding using them for plumbing. don't fall a victim like we did. We just wanted our plumbing unclogged. They would not come back and finish the job either. Avoid at all costs!

If I could give no stars I would. Charged $225 to clean sump pump, didn't fix the problem and don't stand behind their work, very rude when I called to complain, and hung up on me!! Complete assholes, do not deal with them, if you don't want to be ripped off!!!!!

Sunday during the Christmas season, the guest toilet is still plugged, and I owe Chick's Plumbing $400+, when their employee Joe, without blinking, recommends a procedure that will cost another $600+. ""I'll get a second opinion."" Early the following morning, Joe called : in debriefing with his boss, he had overlooked a possibility - snaking the line when the toilet was removed. He'd like to have another go at it - No Charge. That solved the problem, but on the invoice he added the words Zero Warranty. A face-saving gesture, perhaps, or just a number expressing the likelihood that I will call Chick's for plumbing services again.
On the + side: On the first day, Joe gave me a 10% discount from the bill. He came back the next day and solved the problem at no charge.
On the - side: I could have paid in excess of $1000 on the first day. I have Zero Warranty.

Chick's Plumbing is a total ripoff! We had to replace a water filter from a system that Chick's had originally installed many years ago. It's one that fits underneath the kitchen sink. I called to find out what the price of the new filter (they replaced it every 2 years so they had the info on file). The woman said she didn't have the information and that it would cost $47.50 to have a guy come out for a service call. I said fine. The guy came out, spent 10 mins in my home and said the water filter would cost $619.00 to replace it. I told him that was outrageous! He said that's what his boss said to charge. I said no way!
He then tried to sell me a whole new water system for the entire house for $4300. I said no thanks. So, I was charged $47.50 just to tell me the price of the filter when the woman on the phone could have looked it up and told me the same information for free. They screwed me out for $47.50. Nice huh?
I then called three other plumbing places and I could have a brand new system that fits underneath my sink including the filter for $495. All three of them couldn't understand why a replaceable water filter cost $619. They had never heard of ANY FILTER costing that much for an under the sink unit. My advice.... Stay away from Chick's Plumbing!

Chicks plumbing is the best plumbing Service in South OC! The Owners are The nicest people you'll ever meet , everyone should get their plumbing services from them!

I have dealt with many vendors. Chick's was the worst in my memory. I had a kitchen sink faucet repair in need. After multiple visits, use of wrong parts, and basically breaking down the old kitchen sink faucet, the overall charge ended up being a whopping $550! That's not including the sink faucet. While working on the faucet, the plumber did something to the dishwasher so that the door wouldn't open. We ended up calling the manager who swore this was one of his best workers. Fortunately, we did not have to pay for the fixing of the dishwasher door!
Very unprofessional, not trustworthy, and took advantage of a situation. I would not trust this company. Greedy. Unethical.
