The plumber got stuck dealing with an emergency call in the AM so completely missed the morning window I scheduled them for, which was fine had they kept me informed. I called several times asking about an ETA and each time the lady who answered my call seemed more annoyed and became more rude and unfriendly.

I was looking to replace and remove two old toilets, so my situation wasn't urgent, but it was still an unpleasant experience. I had also asked the plumber who came for the inspection for the appropriate rough-in size of one toilet, and was told the incorrect size, which required a few extra trips to Home Depot to order the right size.

The plumber that did the install was efficient and installed both toilets in under 2 hours, so no complaints there. Overall I'd probably look elsewhere next time I have another plumbing need.

The most reluctant
The most reliable, honest plumbers in the entire city! I had a pretty bad plumbing issue with sewage backing up in my shower and on the side of my house; was so freaked out, I probably would've done business with the devil. I was lucky enough to find this gem of a company, the came out and suggested we started slow by rodding and hydro jetting the pipes - it worked great (3 months so far so good). It wasn't expensive at all, less than $1,000. So grateful!!!

I, like others, didn't love the auto-reply on yelp, but had no difficulty reaching the team by phone or getting an estimation scheduled. I'd said I was tentative for the next day, and they followed up the next morning to see when I was available. After their scheduling team gave me a window of availability, Ed called exactly at the start of that window to say he'd arrived. Once in the bathroom, he was able to provide an estimate that was well within the range we'd been quoted by others for the leaking toilet. He assessed the situation quickly, and ran out to get an additional part for the toilet repair. He made the repair quickly and professionally, being careful to lay down plastic for debris, and cleaning up all garbage when he was done. He then walked me through what he saw, a couple other things that could be addressed in the future, and provided some recommendations on a low cost toilet option if we wanted to upgrade, and the cheapest way to get it installed. After struggling to get anyone to help us out and a failed repair attempt from a different company, Chicago Sewer Experts had the whole thing handled in under an hour, and provided great customer service. They jump to the top of my list for future plumbing work, I had a great experience!

Brandon and Anthony came out the day after I called. They were great at explaining the problem and getting to the root cause of our issue. They installed a sump pump for us quickly. Would recommend!

If there was an option for zero stars this would warrant that.

TLDR; They do not care about the quality of work, or getting the job done. If they break something at your place it will be at your expense and even if it isn't they will not remedy the situation.

Had Brandon from A-1 Sewer Experts come out on 6/18/21 for an estimate to fix a corroded pipe among other things. I paid him half the cost ($933.40) that day and he came back on 6/22/21 to do the work. The job took much longer than expected but they completed, and I paid them the remainder of the cost ($933.40). I had not moved into the unit yet, so when I went back next, I realized that the part of the pipe they had replaced was leaking. I tried to reach out to the technician directly but had to go through the office once I was ignored. After two missed appointments Brandon finally came back out on 7/8 and slapped on plumber's glue and applied some spray hoping to stop the leak. The leak hasn't stopped, it got worse, but I was not even able get in touch with anyone at the office on 7/16/21. I called the office for four days and they would tell me someone will come out, but no one ever calls or shows up. The last two times I was accused of not picking up their calls or replying to their text messages when they never reached out and were calling and texting the wrong number. I spoke with Adam (supposedly a supervisor) on 7/15 who assured me someone would come out and once again no one showed or called. Finally got in touch with Anthony (Brandon's apprentice) on 7/16 who told me there has been issues with scheduling and that they would come out on 7/21. I confirmed with Anthony on 7/20 that him and Brandon would come out the following morning, but no one showed after they confirmed being on their way at 9:17am on 9/21. It is now 7/26, over a month since they created the leak and it is still not fixed, not do they seem to care to fix it either.
