04.18.2024 William came out to inspect a leaky ball valve, I was quoted $355.

04.19.2024 William contacted me stating the ball valve replacement will will be $525 because he needs another part to complete the installation.

William was suppose to return but he stated he suffered an head injury and could not make it.

William stated he would need an additional $125 to purchase the part to complete the installation. William stated he broke the line coming out of the ground and he will have to break the floor and dig back the line to make the repair.

William returned to break the floor to complete the installation. He then called and stated the job was complete and told me not to turn the water on for 24 hrs. When I went to go inspect his work, I discovered he used gorilla glue and spray foam to complete the repair.

William texted me do not turn the water on and to allow the glue and foam to seal the line and he could not stop by because he had a family emergency.

Willam stated he could not make it because his truck broke down.

William stated he would reimburse me, I requested he return my money then was ignored.


I hired William to replace a ball valve and he broke my main water supply line leading into the house. My family and I has not had water for over a week. I was told by another plumber the line will need to be replaced and the glue that William used is not the industry standard and should have never been used by a licensed plumber.

Guy is a complete scam artist named will, don't trust him unless you want to give up your hard earned money to be left the same problems. He destroyed some of my homes plumbing and claimed he roded the main line but it backed up again after just 2 weeks and then wanted 500$ to come back out after spending over 3 grand on a new clean out and rodding. Left me and my pregnant fiance without working plumbing while he made excuses about needing more money to come dig up lines to clear the roots he just ""rodded"" 2 weeks prior and claims they grow back that fast just like a haircut. Company is not licensed, bonded or insured. Had an actual plumber come out and he had the line opened in 20 minutes and haven't had any issues is 7-8 months. Stay away from this crackhead.

Called chicago Drain Tech due to sewer back up. Technician came by same day and attempted to rod the main sewer. Within 10 minutes of rodding he stopped and stated previous sewer repair made by another company had failed. He was confident and quick to tell me sewer had to be dug up and already had a quote. I was still charged full service fee of 353. I then had another sewer company come out same day and they were able to clear sewer line by rodding, they included camera and showed me that nothing failed in the sewer it was just roots. I immediately called chicago drain tech back and complained, they offered to refund some money back but never did. I believe their just scammers making things up to charge for unnecessary repairs

I needed a plumber to rid my home of a strong methane odor. This plumber performed unnecessary work. I had him at my home three times. On the invoice on 2nd visit, technician wrote and signed, he would reimburse me 100% if he doesn't get rid of odor.
1st visit he Rod beneath my house through an entry where my sump pump pit is located. 2nd visit, in the sump pump pit, he put down a cement floor removed and replaced the sum pump. 3rd visit he applied a silicone around the lid of the sump pump pit. Not one of these jobs by the tech, removed the methane odor from my home. ALL UNNECESSARY WORK.

I called in a 2nd plumber. He opened my sewer in my front lawn. He pressed the reset button on the GFI box, which activated the lift station waste ejector pump. The waste sitting beneath my home began to flow into my city's main sewer. No more methane odor.

Of course the tech has refused to reimburse me for the unnecessary work he performed. I even offered he only return 50% of what I paid him, after all a new sump pump was installed (even though it was unnecessary. My home doesn't flood. The old sump pump was working just fine). This plumber was found through Home Advisor-Angi Chicago Drain Tech. I Do Not recommend, he obviously takes advantage of home owners by performing unnecessary work. The Tech said he was the owner of Chicago Drain Tech.

We had a plumbing emergency today. We found them online, did a tech support chat, and were given an estimate. We were given a 2-3 hour window. William was here in 2 hours. He assessed the situation and got the supplies he needed. He was very knowledgeable and explained every step to us. He was through in a few hours, tested all the drains. We were given a one year warranty on the work. The price was very reasonable and no hidden charges. Thank you William, and Chicago Drain Tech!
