Okay, so I am going to sort of repost most of an experience I had today with another company here to highlight the great service I received from Cherry City Plumbing.

Called to get a water heater replaced. I was not really interested in estimates (though they did give some), I just wanted the job done and was willing to book the job then and there. I called Judson's Plumbing and it seems Judson's requires a photo of the water heater sent to them before they will commit to the job even though I gave the details concerning the water heater in question. Trouble is their office staff have no idea how to deal with graphics sent to them or they didn't want the business. Twice I sent the picture in the email address given to me. Nope, they claim they didn't get the email and nothing was returned to me saying there was a problem sending the message. Okay, let's try sending it in text. Same issue, they say they didn't get it. I am a retired software engineer, I wrote a lot of code that is used to send emails; I know how to send a text and email message. My guess is that Judson's didn't want the job (really easy install in the garage with no obstructions) so they played the we didn't get the file game and really insisted they have a picture. I do wonder about those without smart phones or the experience of sending graphics being left out of the loop. So much for inclusion.

Okay now onto the good stuff.

I called Cherry City Plumbing and they said, ""picture? don't need no stinking picture"". Okay, so I played that up a bit but they really were surprised a picture was needed by Judson's before booking a job. Cherry City Plumbers didn't need any picture and were very professional and helpful (and nice) and booked me with Anthony, a very accomplished technician who did the job of replacing our water heater the same day for $400 less than the lowest price quoted by Judson's. My advise, call Cherry City Plumbers first and save yourself a lot of frustration and money to boot, and you won't need any stinking pictures.

Had a severe water leak in crawl space. Anthony spent almost 3 hours fixing in a very confined and dirty place. Very happy with him and company. They were able to move my appt up by several days due to water damage occurring.

I just had these guys come out for some outdoor work. INCREDIBLE guys. Worked hard, got everything fixed up. Wonderful. The problem is the office/owners. They charged $100 just to give an estimate. But, they said, we'll deduct that from your final bill if you hire us. Well, I got my final bill and they REFUSED to deduct it. They lied and they cheated. DO NOT EVER GO TO THIS COMPANY.

We have used Ron for years. Phenomenal personal and professional service! Ron always gives us options and walks us through the pros and cons of each. We just had an urgent issue with our furnace while my Husband and I were out of town and my Mother was watching our children. Ron was there within an hour and had the problem fixed.

I never worry about being ""upsold"" services or products we don't need and their prices are extremely fair for the work they perform. I HIGHLY recommend them!!!

BEWARE.....I had a plumber fix a shower leak that entailed caulking the fixture to the wall to prevent water leaking into the wall which took less than an hour. He then tore apart a faucet in two other bathrooms to fix one that was not working at all and the other whose pressure was not very strong. He left WITHOUT FIXING EITHER ONE that included breaking a part in the faucet. I was asked for payment on the spot totaling $800+ even though their work agreement indicates payment is due upon completion of the job. They now want $1860 to come back to fix both EXiSTING OLD faucets that they jammed parts into and could not get them to work. Bruce from the management came out to access the job. He indicated they would give me an hour and half free service (@$99/hr) which was NOT MENTIONED on the follow-up bid of $1860. He did reimburse me for the two parts that I HAD TO ORDER OFF AMAZON FOR THE PLUMBER that cost $104. I found another company who is doing the same work for $1200 which includes a WHOLE NEW FAUCET/SHOWER HEAD with a quarantee of satisfaction when the job is complete.

I've used them several times now. The receptionist is always so sweet and on top of it. They show up on time and they get the work done. Their rates are normal or average I should say for a plumbers. I would never take my chance would not having the work done right especially when dealing with water. I trust these guys and will continue to use them.

I had a great experience with cherry City Plumbing. My husband and I just purchased our first house and just recently ended up with a clogged pipe that we were unable to fix with our knowledge. I called a couple of places but ended up using Cherry City Plumbing, because the customer service of the receptionist on the line was top-notch. Her name was Melissa and seemed genuinely concerned with our problem and was able to get us in as soon as possible. She contacted me when they had an opening and they got me in same day. The price was very reasonable at $99. And the plumber who showed up, Max. Was very knowledgeable nice and personable. Would definitely recommend this company to anybody in the Salem OR Keizer or Corvallis area
