This is the second review of Charlie's Sewer & Drain. We had a plumbing emergency that resulted in a drainage backup in a number of our pipes. Luis and his team (Leo and Jose) were on it immediately and traced the origin of the backup to root intrusion in one of our main drains, which was a result of old clay pipes from the 1920s. Luis explained and showed us via camera probe what our issue was and gave us a couple of short-term and long-term options. He never pressured to upsell and just supplied us with facts. We opted for the long-term solution since the pipe was directly under some bamboo plants, and would most likely repeat the clog. So we opted to bypass and replace the pipe with ABS and a couple of clean-outs. This was a big job and the team was done in a couple of days. Completely respectful and clean. I would definitely recommend their services again. Great communication and attention to detail. Luis, in particular, has a lot of energy and seemed very passionate about his work, which is rare to come by these days.

An escalating sewage problem at my house led me to find Charlie's Sewer & Drain on Yelp. I used the convenient message app on Yelp and Lulu quickly responded within 5 minutes. Next thing I know, Luis showed up at my door and began diagnosing the source of the problem. He used a camera to identify two major root intrusions in the 93 year old clay and cast iron pipes. After further inspection beneath the house, he identified extensive damage to a large portion of old corroded pipes. After evaluating the extent of the repair, Luis and Elio returned the next day to excavate and remove the compromised clay and cast iron pipes. They installed new ABS pipes and 2 clean out access traps. I am very pleased with the level of expertise, courteous service, and knowledge extended to me. In consideration of COVID-19 guidelines, Luis and Elio wore masks and gloves the whole time, and they were acutely aware of the protocols. Without hesitation, I would recommend this company for your sewage and drain repairs.

Here's a helpful tip: I heard intermittent gurgling noises coming from my tub drain, so I recorded the sounds on my iphone. I showed the video to Luis, and he instantly knew how & where to begin resolving the problem. I had a gut feeling that when the technician showed up the sound would not reappear. Having a video of the problem expedited the diagnosis and repairs.

Charlie's provided great service. I messaged them on Yelp and they responded within 15 minutes. I needed a broken toilet fixed, the tank would not fill up with water. A tech named Ramon came 2 hours later and he was courteous, quick, professional and also wearing foot coverings and a covid safety mask. The price was not the lowest but it was competitive-- $25 higher than the lowest. I went with them because they responded fast and they had a ton of great reviews. I highly recommend Charlie's Sewer!

I cannot recommend this company enough. We were fortunate enough to have Luis as the lead plumber to come out and inspect an issue we were having with our sink. This was the THIRD company we called for an estimate. First company tried to Hydro-jet and when they couldn't fix the clog, they looked in our crawlspace and found a significant leak underneath our house from our kitchen/disposal pipe. They took pictures of that area as well as the rest of the pipes under the house and showed us how all the pipes were very old and were in danger of bursting very soon.

The SECOND opinion told us they were not terrible, and that we had a couple years in most areas. Recommended we take a ""wait and see"" approach.

Luis and his team (without us telling them about the other recommendations) said that we had a significant leak that needed fixing under the kitchen sink, and that there were a few areas that would need replacement likely in a few months. Told us that our sewage pipes were the main ones he was concerned about and that WHETHER WE GO WITH HIS COMPANY OR NOT, that we replace in 2-3 months. He consistently made note of the fact that he didn't want us to feel we HAD to go with their company, but that whatever company we go with should make sure to do ""X, Y & Z"" for us.

We felt taken care of, and we learned SO MUCH. We had them repair our sink/disposal leak, called our family to see if they felt the estimates to replace all pipes under our house was ""Fair"" and ultimately ended up going with Luis and Charlie's Sewer and Drain to replace all the pipes under our house.

We also were given a 30-YEAR WARRANTY (20+ years more than all other estimates). Excellent service, and a pleasure to work with Luis. We'll be continuing with this company for all our plumbing needs moving forward -- no question.

Upon booking the office staff was very polite and helpful! They were super accommodating to our tight schedule. Charlie came out to our house on very short notice due to a deadline. He was super professional and informative. Highly recommend!!

Charlie is incredible. I called multiple plumbers that were going to charge and arm and a leg and didn't seem to give me a viable solution to my plumbing problems. Charlie was very different from the rest of the plumbers. He gave me different options. Told me the one he recommended which was the least expensive and was very polite. In addition he not only fixed my plumbing , which I had done months ago ( not a single problem since), but noticed my front door handle was broken and fixed that free of charge. You can't get better than Charlie. He is trustworthy and stands by his work, gave me a lifetime warranty !

Great service! Requested a quote which I received a response within minutes. Affordable and was able to get a technician out the same day. Everyone was very communicative. Tech was very nice and took all the necessary protocols by having masks, gloves and foot coverings. He was knowledgeable and was able to repair my toilet quickly. I rarely ever leave reviews but couldn't help but leave one for the amazing work done by Charlie and his team. He's honest, straightforward and the prices are very reasonable. He gets the job done. If you're looking for good honest work, this is where you'll find it. It's rare to come across people like this, so if you meet Charlie and his crew, you better keep him! If I could give more stars I would. We need more businesses like this.

Living in the hills can wreak havoc on the sewer lines due to the shifting and trees roots. Nothing is easy. But Charlie and his team came out within an hour, identified the problems and quoted reasonable prices. We had to dig up, rip out and replace a portion of the sewer line. They were fast and good, with clean work, a large and quick team. In and out. Thanks, Charlie!
